Logan awoke slowly, his eyes opened as he took in a deep breath; streching his arms and legs. He wriggled around getting the blood to flow through his body quicker. Judging on how stiff he felt Logan esimated he had been out for hours. Last thing he remembered was a bright flash and something before that. Then Discord's words echoed in his head.

Here and there and all throughout
Magic played roles with out a doubt.
But sides must be chosen in this world
and through out history this still shows.
To find your princess you must see both sides
to see through the tinted vision of the one who knows.

Propping himself up on his elbows he looked around to see the six ponies. Logan got up and walked over to Applejack, shaking her lightly to wake her up.

"Applejack," Logan whispered shaking her, "Wake up." Applejack snapped up.

"Ah wasn't being lazzy ah was just takin' a quick nap!" She shouted waking up the other five mares who started complaining, "Sorry y'all."

"Apologies will have to wait, girls," Twilight said, "We need to find Celestia,"

"And by the looks of it, we're in the palace," Rarity continued, "In the hall with the picture windows that lead to the elements."

A loud crash of doors opening interupted them. Through the door came Chrysalis with changelings flanking her. A devious smile remained on her face though Logan could see suprise in her eyes.

"I'm not entirely sure how you got here," Chrysalis began, "But it doesn't matter, I won."

"But Luna..." Logan began.

"Is once again back in the moon, locked away for eternity." Chrysalis laughed

Logan could feel his anger boiling, but he quickly submerged it, "You win when hell freezes over,"

"Every gaurd has been defeated and I control all Canterlot," Chrysalis said. Logan unsheathed his blades but he soon found he was gripping nothing. He looked back over to Chrysalis to see his blades suspended in a green bubble of magic.

"I'm gonna pound you into a pancake," Logan threatened.

"With what?" Chrysalis said half laughing.

Logan held up his fists "Hungry?" Logan asked, "Cause I can make you a knuckle sandwich if you are."

"You can't beat me with your puny hands, and there are no stools or chairs to help you now,"

"Tell it to my ass," Logan said, "It's the only one that gives a crap."

"Face it you've lost," Chrysalis said. Logan put his open hands out in front of him, and drew electricity to the surface, "Like I said, I won. Surrender and you deaths will be..." Chrysalis's last word was cut of by a loud bang that filled the hall. Logan fired a burst of electricity into the crowd of changelings several lay dead the shock stopping their heart, others stood up, wobbling a bit as they tried to keep their ballance. Chrysalis was the only one who hadn't fallen.

"What... was that?" She said tremor in her voice.

"That," Logan started, "Was a taste of the pain you're about to experience."

"But you don't have any weapons!" Chrysalis shouted.

"I already have one built in," Logan said.

"Destroy him, my changelings!" Chrysalis ordered. The last of the changelings charged Logan, who knew they were to far apart to send another mass shock through. So he put up a small electric bubble shield.

The changelings piled on quick. The ones who were the bottom of the pile touched the electricity and were killed. Others that were far under were crushed from the weight of their fellow changelings. Logan rapidly expanded the electric bubble, the sudden g-force crushed the changelings in the middle and flung the ones on the top away from him. The changeling above him flew so high it was impaled by the sharp stone structures of the ceiling. Blood immediately began to flow down and onto Logan, soaking his shirt and pants.

One of the changelings had flown over to Applejack, but she didn't need protection. She bucked the changeling high into the air, but Logan wanted to make sure it would die. He shot a sharp string of electricity that went clean through the changeling. Logan wasn't done, he expanded the tip into a circle and pulling the electric string brought the changeling back to the ground with a small depression that quickly filled up with blood and hid the body.

With only Chrysalis standing, an erie hatred hung in the air, like the fog that fills the air in the morning after a humid night. Chrysalis stood straight, a calm look on her face even though panic could consume her at any given moment. Logan stood knees bent and low, electricity sparking in his hands, ready for an attack.

"So where's Luna?" Logan asked again.

"She's back where she belongs," Chrysalis said, "In the moon."

"What?" Logan said still confused.

"She trapped Luna in the moon!" Twilight shouted, "A spell like that can only be undone by Celestia, we've got to find her!"

"You do that, I've got Chrysalis," Logan said, "Let's finish this. Avenge the changelings I killed, their blood is on my hands. So come get me you ugly fucker!"

This sent Chrysalis's anger boiling over and she fired a beam of magic. Logan put up a large electric barrier, but it quickly began to crack.

"How does she have so much power?!" Logan exclaimed realizing this was a fight he probably wouldn't win.

"She gets her power from love!" Twilight shouted, "It needs to be replenished every now and then."

Logan felt his spirit lift as he realized something if it needs to be replenished, it eventually runs out. All I have to do is avoid the attacks until she runs out.

"Twilight, teleport me behind Chrysalis," Logan said.

"But she'll kill you!" Twilight argued.

"And she'll kill you too if I can't get her out. Plus you need time to find Celestia, and my electric shield won't give you another thirty seconds!" Twilight was at defeat. Her horn glowed and next thing Logan knew his stomach felt like it was inside-out and he was on just behind Chrysalis.

The nausea was too powerful and he vomited on Chrysalis. Logan stumbled back before he spoke, "Wow that was a big improvement in appearance," Chrysalis spun around and fired her magic at Logan who barely dodged the attack. Logan ran with the buzzing sound of Chrysalis's wings following him gaining ground quickly. He needed to find a confined space where flying was too hard. The library, the tightly packed spaces between bookcases would make it very difficult to fly. Only problem was that he couldn't remember how to get there. Time for more trial and error, Logan thought to himself.

Running down hallway after hallway, he could find no parterns or familiar structures. On the brighter side, Chrysalis had fired loads of magic and few came very close to him. She also over shot a turn Logan easily made, small wings and a big body didn't mix well. At last he recognized Celesita's room, and when he and Luna followed her she was going the same way he was. The memory of going to the library was fresh enough in Logan's mind to remember. Left, left, right, forward, left. Found it!

But Chrysalis was to close so he passed the doors then made a U-turn running at an angle to the wall. Logan jumped at the wall then gave a big push off the wall. Chrysalis was coming right at him but he weighed more due to the holes in her body. Logan tackled Chrysalis mid air and drove her horn into the opposite wall. Logan ran into the library slamming the door closed to make sure Chrysalis knew where he was. He ran down a narrow space just as the door exploded into splinters from Chrysalis's magic blast.

Logan scrambled up the bookcase. Chrysalis's advantage was she could fly. Now, because the space provided wasn't enough to fly in, Logan gained the advantage being able to climb the bookcase. The space between the the tops of the bookcases and the ceiling were enough to fly in but Chrysalis could get there in the first place. Logan had the advantage two stories up. Jumping from bookcase to bookcase he followed Chrysalis, not once did she ever bother to look up. Logan grabbed a book when she finally stopped and dropped it, which missed by quite a distance but it was enough to get her to turn around and fire a blast of magic into the wall. Every now and then Chrysalis would stop and Logan would drop a book near her causing her to fire a blast of magic. He kept this going for a while until Chrysalis got fed up and took on a new strategy; if you can't find someone, eliminate their hiding spots.

Chrysalis fired a constant beam of magic and did a full spin. At first nothing seemed to happen, then there was a distinct noise: breaking wood. Logan felt the bookcase under him shift as it collapsed, then he felt nothing under him as he and the bookcase fell. Logan wasn't worried about being covered in wood, most of the other bookcases had already fallen. Logan tried to land on his feet but a long piece of wood broke up to a point, he could do nothing except brace for impact. With a grunt he landed on point as it went through the center of his belly and came out the other side by a foot and a half. The pain was worse than he immagined, and it greatly increased when the wood fell to a thirty degree angle. Logan felt at a loss for breath, but did not gasp for air. He tried to pull himself off the large piece of wood but was interupted by an evil chuckle, then an extreme wave of pain shot through his body.

Chrysalis had shot him off the wood and through the wall out onto into the large fountain right before the entrance to the palace. Logan guessed that to shoot him through a stone wall it had to take a alot of energy so she was Chrysalis was probably run low on power. Logan slowly rose to his feet, noting how he was on the verge of death. Chrysalis hovered above the fountain, a triumphant smile on her face. She was getting over confident. Logan wasted no time, he quickly shot electricity into Chrysalis's left wing causing her to spiral down into the fountain. Logan fired electricity into the water and watched as Chrysalis jerked and spasmed her way out of the fountain. She limped up the stairs towards the palace entrance but Logan caught her at the top and punched her. Chrysalis staggered forward then turned around facing Logan who delivered a series of blows to Chrysalis's head before she blocked one and hit him in the stomach and face.

Logan grabbed her head and smashed it against his knee, blood immediately began to flow. Logan followed that with a kick to her forehooves breaking them. Chrysalis stood on her back legs and received punch after punch to the stomach slowly loosing air. The rythm set in Logan punched with muscle memory, not able to feel and anything in his arms. He stopped for a moment and regained feeling in his arms, Chrysalis staggered this way and that, on the verge of death. Then Logan felt somthing cold in his feet, he looked down to see that he was slowly being turned to stone. Logan looked back to Chrysalis, if he didn't kill he she could win. He knew what he had to do; he had to end this, now.
