The Bad Thing

It's was quite obvious as to whom was at the door: Celestia, Goddess of nosing into others' business.

"I'm naked!" Logan lied. and the door immediately slammed shut.

"He's just joking, Tia." Luna called. The door opened slowly as Celestia peaked around it, just to be on the safe side. Once she was sure all necessary clothes were apllied she stepped into full view, then started trotting over to Logan with an angry glare.

"Nope." Logan dove under the bed, thinking it was safe under there. But Celestia started jumping on it, crushing him again and again. Luna put an extra bounce in the bed and shot Celestia up in the air and landing in a corner of the room.

"I swear, Luna!" Celestia said, "To the moon." Logan moved his head out from under the bed and looked at Luna then Celestia.

"She really can't take a joke," Logan said partially amazed and partially annoyed.

"I just came up to tell you lots of ponies are waiting,"

"Yeah, hurry up slow pokes," Rainbow Dash said loudly from the balcony.

"How long have you been there?!" Logan shouted supprised as he crawled all the way out from under the bed.

"Since you came out with your new outfit, and I heard everything." Rainbow said with a smirk. She raised her eyebrows suggestively from Luna to Logan.

"Shut up!" Luna shot back.

"I never said anything," Rainbow smirked, "But I did see some... other things." Rainbow Dash flew over and put a foreleg and leaned in so only they could hear. "You two were really going at it."

"RAINBOW DASH!" Luna's mane and tail erupted into flames, as did the pupils of her eyes. Rainbow tried to bolt but Luna stamped her tail to the ground. She grabbed a pair of saddlebags in her magic and started beating Rainbow over the head with them, yelling as she hit.

"Why--the buck--did you--watch--us do it?!" Luna screamed. Rainbow's answers were grunts of pain as she tried to stop the barrage.

Suddenly Logan felt a force on his back, pinning him to the ground. Celestia with her hoof on Logan's back started beating him over the head with another pair of saddlebags, yelling just as Luna had done.

"Why--the buck--did you--do--my sister?!" Celestia roared. She took her hoof off to get a better stance as she took another pair of saddlebags. Logan tried crawling to the door.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hammer and Anvil, Luna's two personal gaurds, were out side guarding the door. The door opened and Logan crawled far enough to see the two guards.
"Help me!" Logan said, but he was pulled back in, "Aw cra-" *Slam* the door shut cutting him off. There was a long silence then Anvil spoke up.
"Think we should help him?" he asked. Hammer put his wing on his chin and thought for a moment.
"Nah, he's fine." And both gurads resumed their job.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

*Thwack* *Thud* *Smack*

"To be honest, I did him," Luna said. Rainbow Dash, who was now rubbing her sore head, had been let go. Celestia stopped her attack and stared slack jaw at Luna. "I kind of forced him to." Luna added. Logan flipped over and sat up rubbing his head as well.

"You couldn't have said that a little earlier?!" Logan said annoyed. Celestia glarred at him and kicked him in the groin with her back leg. In response Logan curled up into a ball on his side clutching the pained area.

"Oh no!" Luna started, "Are you okay?"

"Never been worse," Logan replied in a raspy groan, "I'm just going to lie here for a while."

"She was Nightmare Moon half the time they were doing it," Rainbow said. Logan could feel Celestia glaring again and rolled away leaving her to stomp on the empty ground. Logan rolled around to safety behind Luna.

"You're not helping him Rainbow," Luna said, "Why were you even watching?"

"Well, you were on that balcony looking like Nightmare Moon for so long, that I got a little suspicious. So I kept a lookout then I started to see things that I wish I didn't. It was so ugly, and horrible, and... oh who am I kidding! It was hot!" Logan, who had gotten over the pain and had stood up, was a deep crimson red and was doing his best to keep a straight face. Luna was also blushing but only on a small portion of each cheek; her her eyes were looking anywhere away from others and her mouth was screwed up in embarrassment making a funny face.

"Ahem." Celestia said. The two slowly turned around to see Celestia on fire. Her entire body a flame with the outline of an alicorn princess. Logan and Luna slowly backed towards the balcony.

"Um, I think you two got your point across," Logan said nervously.

"Yes," Luna agreed with a shaky voice, "That we are late to the party. We will be going now-"

"-Via express route!" Logan shouted as he jumped off the balcony into the cool night air. Luna didn't even look to see if her sister was chasing after her before following Logan off into the air. Logan started releasing electricity out of his hands, more and more until he found a range where he could hover. The sound it made was quite soothing, a low humming. Oddly though, he felt only a light wind.

Electric wind must disapate quickly Logan thought to himself. It would make sense, to knock back those zombies he needed to use a full pocket of electricity and even that ran out of steam in a short distance. Before he could move to another thought he was enveloped in a blue aurora and levitated back into the room. Celestia had calmed down and was no longer in flames; although she still held a frown of disapproval.

"First of all, jumping off the balcony was not a smart idea," Luna said, " Second, was this horrible encounter the bad thing you were feeling?" Logan paused and looked up in thought.

Logan still felt something worse was going to happen. He stilled didn't know what, but if it was worse, he didn't think he would make it out alive. If I tell Luna the truth she may worry, Logan thought, I'd rather not spend the moments before I die with others worrying about me. But if I do tell her the whole thing could possibly be avoided, no guarantee.

Logan looked at Celestia then Luna and thought some more. Celestia really cares about her ponies, and her sister. She still sees me as a possible threat, a war threat. If I die it will be a great weight off her mind. However, if I live, I will still be on thin ice. That stupid bastard that came here before me must have left a large number of Celestia beloved ponies six feet under. With a grudge like that, there is no way I could possibly get on her good side. If Luna loses me, I don't know how she'll react. Best case scenario she just blows it off like I never existed. Logan didn't want to think about a worst case scenario. Luna put a leg around him in a sideways hug.

"Will you be okay?" Luna asked. Of course she meant "Is that bad thing still there?" but to Logan it was much different.

What about me? Logan thought, I'm no fan of dying, but it seems like the best option. Right now I'm a 'threat' to an entire nation, and I'm no longer much of a defender. With the recent attack they probably learned to be prepared. They'll most likely keep those Elements of Harmony very close by. So I'll be bad, purposeless, and still don't know if I have a way home. If I die at least I can hope to go to some sort of heaven. But If I live there is still a chance to get back home. Home... God, I want to go home, I want to see my parrents and siblings again.

"Logan, please tell me that was the bad thing," Luna said a little worry in her voice.

"Um... Yeah, I think that was the bad thing," Logan lied.

"Oh thank goodness." Luna sighed with relief, and smiled as she lay her head on his shoulder, "Glad to know everything is going to be fine."

"Yeah... me too," Logan said softly. I just hope that I won't have to wait for my family in the afterlife. Out of the corner of his eye Logan thought he saw a golden aurora around Celestia's horn fade away. He wasn't sure if he saw correctly or not, either way he didn't care.

Finally Celestia spoke up, "How about we get going." Logan was a bit surprised at how she sounded, it was barely louder than a whisper. Her voice was smooth and caring, almost like a mother; although he didn't know why she suddenly decided to talk like that.

"Okay," Luna said and the three walked out of the room and down the hall.

"I hope those ponies haven't been waiting too long," Logan said.

"They've been waiting since you left the guard training grounds," Celestia said, "They thought the blue flare you sent up was a signal to gather for the party early."

"Eh hehe, funny thing though," Logan said nervously, "That wasn't a flare, that was me."

"Somehow that doesn't surprise me," Celestia sighed.

"So what's so big about Pinkie's parties? I mean parties are awesome, but why are they so huge when Pinkie is throwing them?" Logan asked.

"Because parties are Pinkie Pie's special talent," Luan replied, "She knows everything about parties here."

"Yeah, though I doubt she knows everything about parties in my world," Logan said sadly.

"Do they have... cake?" Luna asked

"Yup."

"Balloons?"

"Yeah."

"Pin the tail on the pony?"

"Kind of and sometimes."

"Bananas?" Celestia cut in.

"What? Sometimes."

"DJ?" Luna continued.

"Sometimes."

"Those of the opposite gender?"

"Ja."

"Friendly ponies?"

"Friendly people, yes."

"Streamers?"

"Affirmative."

"A banner here and there?"

"Check."

"So is there anything else that wasn't listed?"

"Do you have a party marker?" Logan asked.

"A what?"

"Something that labels the gathering as a party."

"I need an example." Luna said.

"Well it usually is something or someone breaking. Like the label phrase."

"What's the label phrase?" Celestia asked.

"Hold my beer and watch this!" Logan said, Celestia snickered.

"You drink?!" Luna said shocked.

"No, for parties I attended beer was replaced with soda." Logan chuckled.

"What happens after that?" Celestia asked trying to hold in her laughter.

"Said speaker usaully jumps off something and shakes hands with the floor using his or her face." Celestia burst into a fit of crying laughter.

"See I told you he's funny!" Luna said triumphantly.

"Yeah," Celestia laughed trying to wipe away the tears, "I can't breathe!" Celestia swayed from side to side as she gasped for air.

"Well, I think we should lay off the funnies until we get to the party, in the gardens." Luna said, Logan nodded in agreement.

"So, I was wondering about recent events," Logan began, "What's the history with the changelings? And that Discord thing, what is he all about? And this magic of friendship, what is it?

"Let me start with the changelings first," Celestia said, "Next to this attack, the changelings recent attack was durring Shinning Armor and Princess Cadence's wedding."

"That must have been the world record for worst wedding day." Logan commented.

"It was! Especially for Cadence. She was thrown down into a mine and replaced by a changeling queen who manipulated her soon to be husband. Even after everypony found out, the queen almost managed to defeat us. I didn't expect another attack so soon." Celestia went into her thoughts for awhile as they walked out the main gate and down the steps onto the street in the cool night air.

"As for Discord," Luna picked up, "He is set in stone for throwing Equestria into turmoil. He turned buildings upside down, corn into popcorn, dirt roads into bubble roads, grass into tile, clouds into cotton candy, and he made them rain choclate milk. The thing I don't get is that when he filled up a glass with chocolate milk, he would drink the glass and throw the chocolate milk which would explode."

"Now the magic of friendship, it is something so powerful that it helps feul the elemenst of harmony, each of the six ponies you first met wields an element. The elements are: honesty, loyalty, generosity, kindness, laughter, and the most powerful, magic."

"Oh I know how powerful magic is," Grumbled Logan.

"Shshshshhhhh." Luna said wrapping Logan's head in he forelegs, "No more tears."

"I wasn't crying, I was complaining," Logan snapped turning the wrap up into a hug, "But hugs never hurt."

"Alright lovebirds, get back to walking," Celestia urged.

"So, where in the garden is the party?" Logan asked.

*BOOM* "SURPISE!"

Logan fell over from the jumpscare.

"Nice lungs, Mare," Rainbow Dash said.

"I did not scream!" Logan exclaimed.

"You're right, you really shrieked like a little filly," Rainbow teased.

"Well RD, y'all got the voice of a colt," Applejack said.

"Girls, girls, stop fighting!" Twilight said.

"Theres no fighting at a PARTY!" Pinkie Pie bounced, "Unless it's a pillow fight at a slumber party."

"I don't like fighting," Fluttershy agreed softly.

"Then you definitely won't like what's coming next." Another joined in. Logan looked to to see a pony staring back at him angrily, but soon the pony was gone. All he was looking at was a changeling.

"Looks like we we've got a party pooper," Logan said.

"Make that party poopers," the changeling buzzed. It fired a ball of green magic that exploded in the sky. Almost immediately thought-to-be ponies started turning into changelings from everywhere. They took flight and buzzed in the sky. The ponies who weren't changelings ran behind the princesses. The changelings began to land from afar, forming into three blocks.

"There must be at least three hundred." Luna said.

"Now we know how many changelings were leftover."

"You think you beat use because you killed our queen!" The first changeling buzzed, "We have generals to take over when the queen is killed!"

"Teams ready!" The changeling yelled. "Team back up?!" A block of changeing yelled back. "Team lock?!" Another block of changelings yelled back. "Team clone! Fire!"

"Team clone?!" Logan exclaimed. Before he could ting further the block of changelings fired into the general changeling who fired at Logan. The shot was too fast to react to until if was upon him. Pain shot and resonated through every inch of his body. It felt like he was being ripped apart in every direction. The pain lasted for a few seconds until there was an explosion throwing Logan back a few feet landing on his back.

Ponies gasped, as Logan sat up he gasped too. Floating in an aurora of green was the silhouette of another human.

"Team back up!" The block of changelings responded immediately, streams of green aurora brought fourth black blob moving around. The blob was floated over to the silhouette and merged with it.

A voice boomed from the air, "I doth live again!" The aurora broke and the human landed with ease. He looked at his hands and flexed his muscles "It seems that I hath regained mine youth!" He shouted happily. Then he looked at the princess and scowled, "Ah, Celestia. My youth shall taste most wonderous with vengeance to accompany it."

"Leo Ulric, I'd hoped I'd never see you again!" Celestia growled.

"Thine hopes hath doomed thee." Leo shot back. A low ring of fire swirled around him.

"So you will not end your conquest ambitions?" Celestia asked.

"Nay! By mine kings orders I am to concur this land for him!" Leo shouted back.

"Last time we met you were in your forties as I remember."

"I am but a fifteen year old now," Leo smirked, "Much battle experience from such a youth!"

"Well all of your men are waiting for you in the afterlife."

"Not for long," The changeling general said, "Team back up, life transfer!" The changeling block began to desintegrate into a block of green auroras with flesh inside. They shot out into the night sky and disappeared. "Your army shall soon have restored glory, human."

"Mine king will be most pleased to hear this!" Leo said triumphantly.

"Sorry Leo, but your king has been dead at most 978 years." Celestia said as Logan finally got to his feet.

"Lies thou weavest from thine tongue!" Leo spat. Finally Leo noticed Logan looking oddly at him, "Tell me brother, what news dost thou have of his majesty?"

"The latest news?" Logan said sarcastically, "The king was burried in a marked grave. I'm no brother of yours, the current year back on earth was 2012. All the land has been taken, and countries have formed." Leo looked from Celestia to Logan and back.

"Lies! All lies!" Leo shouted his hands engulfed in flames.

"Whoa, easy there!" Logan said, "Let's all just calm down."

"Thou hast no idea how much pain we hath endured." Leo said angrily, "To watch those you fought alongside or for die in front of your very eyes, to feel the pain of battle wounds, and to leave your family, children, and spouse, for a war." Leo did not know how hard that point hit home.

"How old were you?" Logan asked

"We were twenty five when we were abruptly taken from our land, but in a few years learned to jump relms. At thirty seven the war started, at least we were able to say goodbye to our family."

"You got it easy," Logan said, Leo looked at him in shock, "I was taken not a month ago, without warning. Not even a second to say goodbye to my parents or siblings. I know I should start pulling my weight myself around fifteen, but survive in another world is not what that means."

"Hast thou endured physical pain?" Leo asked.

"Oh plenty," Luna said, "He's made giant craters using himself, got a good socking from timberwolves he demolished, and had a giant hole that you could look through right in his stomach."

"How bad was it?" Leo asked.

"Well, some jornalists that went into a frenzy from the attack were near and got some photos." Celestia teleported some photos over to Leo. One showed Logan recoiling in pain. Another Logan was trying to work his way off the dagger like wood sticking out a foot and a half. The next picture was Logan's arm inside Chrysalis's chest, Logan's face wasn't visible, Chrysalis's pupils were small specks on the white of her eyes. Her mouth was open failing to gasp for air and fresh blood flowed from her nose. "This one is the most disturbing to look at." Celestia warned.

Leo looked at the last picture, Logan was standing wide stance in the fountain, a cloud of bloody water was at his legs. The hole from the wood was visible in the picture, it was in the center of his belly. The hole was at least eight inches in diameter, blood was floowing out the front and dripping down from the top of the hole. Some of his intestines were loosely hanging out the front, the rest were slumped inside making other organs visible. With his clothes soaked in blood he stared angrily off camera at Chrysalis, his eyes were filled with anger, disgust, and an untold amount of hatred.

"With all this pain, why dost thou continue to stay?"

"Becasuse I don't have a way back," Logan said.

"Then join us, unlock we have the power to take us home," Leo said.

"Thanks, but from what I've heard, once I'm gone you'll attack Equestria. Now your king is dead, all land is set in countries which you can join, and you'll have a good chance out in the world as long as you don't tell anyone your from the midieval period. So will you cease your attacks now?" Leo looked down in though.

"Never," Leo spat.

"Then from this point on we are enemies." Logan said. Leo looked around to see horns lighting, spears raising, and many ponys began to stomp the ground. Leo knew he had no chance against two princesses so he ran. Leo jumped of the nerest edge of Canterlot and shot off fire trailing behind him.

"Now that everything is cleared up," the changeling general said, "Team lock! fire!" Logan hadn't noticed the entire time a block of changelings was preparing to fire, all eyes were on Leo giving the changelings time. Logan could only take the hit. The changelings turned into aurora, and zipped over to Logan, the aurora swirled up and around him quickly becoming smaller. As it closed around him he realized something this was the bad thing. Soon the aurora srank to nothing and Logan was nowhere to be seen.
