A weapon for hire.

Princess luna POV

"To me! Rally to me! Stay together and stand strong!"

*boom!*

The ground exploded near her as luna rallied her troops. She turned to the aries who was attempting a surprise attack to her left and opened fire *vreeeeeeeeee**boom!* her machine gun tore him apart before making him explode.

She had lost 5 soldiers already and only round 15 minute of fight had passed, the battle had started like any others, her soldier couldn't overwhelm the enemies aries but still destroyed 6 before things started to go south, three new model appeared, they were a black knight frame who could switch form from a plane to a knight frame, and whose performance where much higher than the aries and daughtress. Only her Bertigo could still rival them.

'tch! If only they weren't three of them! I could at least have holded them off the troops'

The situation was dire, they had appeared out of nowhere and destroyed the remaining wall weapon before attacking her troops and they were now without cover against the grandeene artillery.

'what will celestia do without me?! Is equestria truly lost?!'

"Princess! You have to retreat!" the voice of lieutenant dash was coming from her knight frame speaker, her own unit was damaged having lost the left arm and wing blocking her on the ground, her two wingman were shot down and crashed into now enemy territory, the griffin are not known to make prisoner. The earth pony troops had lost 3 of its four man and the last one was barely holding and had no 500mm ammunition left, the two unicron unit were still in fonction and holding the enemy off with their machine gun but had lost their bazooka even her left hand Night-Strike had lost its two bazooka.

"I will do no such thing lieutenant! We just need to push them back!"

"There's no way will push them back, we are outnumbered and outgunned, we need to report those new unit to the rest of equestria."

"But the citizen-"

"Those new models bombarded the entire wall there is no more citizens!"

"We-we..." luna slammed her hand on her dashboard. Before she could give the orders to retreat she heard static on the speaker.

"Test, test. Hyaaaa, hello there do you hear me? Hacks do they hear me?"

"-yes they are hearing you kshatriya."

"Good! Good! Hello everyone, i am kshatriya, just a passing by weapon for hire, you wouldn't require my service perhaps?"

"W-what the hell are you doing on this line?! Its an equestria army only frequency how did you get the access code?!" the voice of lieutenant dash confirmed luna hadn't started hearing voice in her despair.

"Oh my was that supposed to be a private line? Sorry the security wasn't that big i thought you wouldn't mind."

"W-what?! Not big?! It the direct line to the princess unit why you little-"

"What can you offer in term of fire power?" luna interrupted her lieutenant, she didn't like the idea to use mercenaries but she even less liked the idea if leaving behind her troops and running her tail between her legs.

"Straight to the point, i like that. As for your answer it depend on how much you give me and the nature of the mission, cover fire for retreat will be cheap but total annihilation of the enemy is a lot more pricey."

Luna narrowed her eyes,"how much for annihilation and protection of my remaining forces?"

"...well i'm in a good day and i like your straightforwardness, so just a space among this town hangar and the occasion to speak with you would be good enough for this time."

"Uh? Are you serious?" luna was choked. nothing, this payment was literally nothing, a spot into an anyway unused hangar and a talk she herself would have wanted.

"Yep, but its only this time though, so deal?"

"Deal." some say the devil will often come and make a deal with you but here luna was feeling like she made a deal with a child, a happy go lucky child.

Kshatriya POV

'see? i told you she would agree.'

-correction, our offer was by far too generous to refuse, the fire power they gained by giving us this space is overwhelming, we could have asked for the whole town.

'maybe but i'm not about to ruin any possible relation with my first client.'

-question, why are you selling your service kshatriya?

'because a man once said 'if your good at something never do it for free', if i start fighting for free some nutsack will think i haveto fight for free or that its weird to compensate me for it later. and no way in hell am i turning into a figurative battle slave.'

-question, am i to consider us mercenaries from now on?

'with moral, mercenary yes but with moral.'

-very well, what about the promised assistance?

'let's go with the basic i'll just kill them using the wrists beam gun and beam saber.'

-engaging battle mod, Multi Lock-on System in use.

'nah, let me try to shoot them myself. i could use unassisted shooting practice.'

3rd person POV

the equestrian force where using the remain of the wall to hold their position as the aries flew over head and unleashed volley of bullet in a constant barrage to prevent any counter attack, the three new griffin model had landed near the grandeen and waited for the aries to finish the job.

that's then that a aries was grazed by a green bolt passing right near its side. there was a few moment where all those around wandered what just happened until a whole barrage of green bolt started raining on the aries. they where tons of them, the aries didn't stand a chance as they tried to dodge what they could see only too late, rapidly the aries number passed from 14 to 13 to 6 to 0. the new models had spotted where the strange bolt had came from, a forest on the left side of the town from them and immediately took off, but the things literally bursted out of the wood, green fired bursting from behind its hulking frame, it was gigantic, almost twice as big as their taurus, four enormous wings in its back and from its all black form only one green glowing eye sticking out. from its right hand a wide blade of green fire burst forth which the monster swept left to right, the closest taurus tried to block with its heat blade only for the the blade of green fire to cut clean right through its weapon and body right under the shoulders.

the taurus exploded and the monster burst from its smoke, dashing with insane speed to the second taurus, this one didn't even have time to block before the monster stabbed its clawed left hand right through its torso and cockpit before throwing it to the side where it's exploded, the grandeen seeing the sudden struggle of the taurus opened fire, the four shell connected strongly against the black monster but when the smoke cleared the monster was finally seen, a gigantic knight frame with four tick wing closer to being shields stood above its shoulders, two arm ending with clawed hand and a cyclop head. it was intact, the black monster was covered in grey but slowly the grey disappeared returning it to its hard to see black. only the sword's light allowed the monster to be seen, the last taurus took out its machine gun and opened fire, in the meantime the grandeen turret seemed to need time to reload, time kshatriya wasn't generous enough to give them, she dashed forward, wing bashin the last taurus to oblivion and killing its pilot through the sheer shock created by the blow. as the taurus fell to the ground her thruster powered up even more and in 2 second she was on the grandeen, she pointed her sword at her enemy, she was too close of the grandeen for it to fire at her.

a shockingly feminine voice came out from the black monster,"surrender, my beam saber can easily pierce your armor."

the griffin on board didn't know what to do, if they let themselves be captured the empire would have their head but having the grandeen destroyed would be a big loss for the griffin empire. in the end, they powered the grandeen and tried to flee.

"wrong answer."

from the wing of the black monster came a few small objects but before anyone could see anything tiny laser chirurgical pierced the grandeen, the beam simply aimed at any griffin inside, the grandeen plating being unable to hide them from the kshatriya sensor. soon the grandeen powered down lacking any crew and having suffered minimal damage.

after a few second of silence princess luna having witnessed the whole thing spoke out.

"wha-what are you?"

the kshatriya looked down on the equestrian unit on the ground from her position above the grandeen,

the black monster turned to her,"i am a gundam."
