Kshatriya POV

After telling i was a gundam to luna she had one of her guard guide me to the hangar who had luckily survived the taurus bombardment. I was asked to wait for the princess and so i did, one of the good thing about being a machine is i can lock my limbs in position making standing still very easy. then again, making me wait 2 hours was a bit much.

"Sorry for the wait gundam." luna said while walking inside the hangar in her bertigos.

"Kshatriya, i am a gundam but my name is kshatriya."

"Well met then kshatriya, i am princess luna co-ruler of equestria, i am very thankful for your assistance out there. We also secured not only a still well kept knight frame of the new model of the griffin but also a grandeen. Those are invaluable in out time."

Kshatriya shrugged,"your welcome, it was nothing big."

Luna cam out of her knight frame, and looked at the gundam with an eyebrow raised,"why are you doing that with your knight frame? Won't you come out?"

"I can't, this is my body."

"Beg pardon?"

"It's my body. I don't pilot it, it's literally my body."

Luna's eyes widened."How is that possible?!"

"Mostly by downloading my consciousness inside it."

"Isn't it painful?"

"I don't remember, it was 23 years ago, years i spent sleeping."

"Then you aren't aware of the present situation world wide?"

"I never was, being an alien and all that."

"....truly?"

"Yes."

Luna just fell on a nearby chair her head in her hand.

"I need a drink."

"Bad idea, we still need to talk, i killed around 25 person to get this chat and i will have it damnit."

*sigh*"sure, i'll just put my common sense to rest in the meantime. What do you want to talk about?" she said crossing her arms and legs while glaring at me.

"Good, why not start with the world state you talked about earlier?"

"War, total war. For centuries my sister and equestria as a whole used its power over magic to prevent any conflict to arise. This ceased to be 2 years after my return from banishment-"

"Banishment?"

"I'll explain later. Two years after my return the world balance was destroyed when an evil rodent destroyed the tree of harmony turning the world mana wild and dangerous, we tried to counter it but by a lucky hazard, the griffon empire revealed a new technologie able to prevent mana from condensing and nullifying its effect on the physical world. This also had the side effect of preventing mana related technologie and all magic as as a whole to work near those machine."

"Were those perhaps the tower all over the land?"

"Yes, those dreadful tower are used by not only the griffon empire but the whole world. Without our magic equestria is unable to stop the world leaders to go to war, even our weapon had to be reworked, my bertigo energy source was replaced but compared to the old ether reactor those fusion reactor are trash. Even our mana canons and sword had to be switched for more mechanical weapons. Equestria was known and respected for its thaumaturgie, without it we are but a juicy prey for the less magic relient country like the griffon and minautour, even the yaks have better suited military unit than us!"

I stayed silent as she slammed a fist on her knee. After a few deep breath she calmed down enough to continue.

"It has been 12 years since the start of the war, we have been losing ground every years, resource are scarce and our population number reducing accordingly, i would have never thought i would one day fear the extinction of my peoples..."

"....you could hire me you know? I don't' like working for free but i'm far from greedy. And i sure as hell am worth my wage."

"What can one knight frame do in a war implying hundred thousand?"

"First its mobile suit, knight frame is cool but not correct."

"Okaaayyyy?"she said with a raised eyebrow.

"And second i am far stronger than i look, while i cannot be everywhere at all time i can help a lot. You saw me outside right?" luna nodded."well it was nothing, i am far stronger, honestly from what i saw today those griffon have nothing on me."

Her eyes narrowed."Don't be fooled by what you saw today, the griffon does not take equestria seriously anymore, those new griffin model were sent to deal with me but they aren't the best they got, the griffin rely more on castle frame than mobile suit."

"Do those castle frame happen to be like very big knight frame?"

"Yes."

"Then its called mobile armor please."

"*sigh*fine if you want. But it doesn't solve our problems."

"Mobile armor aren't that tough, they often are so big they cannot really dodge and always have a weak point. Either a blind spot like the grandeen who cannot fire at close range or the legs who if even one is destroyed the whole thing fall."

"I am still surprised of how you fought it, none of us ever thought of going close to such a monstrosity."

"Not a bad choice with you lack a weapons to breach its hull."

She looked away,"i told you we had to replace our mana related weapons for whatever we could get our hands on. And about weapon, how did you use yours? It looked a lot like mana sword and mana cannons bolt but i didn't feel any mana."

"Sorry to break it to you princess but not every planet as magic, mine didn't so all my weapons are technology only."i said shrugging with my arms crossed.

"Really?! Then perhap-"

"Nope, not giving the blueprint, my peoples weapons technologie are not for sell or trade."

She threw her arm upward while rolling her eyes."oh come on! You are a mercenary, there must be a way to convince you?"

"Nope to dangerous, instead just hire me, their must be a way for you to at least stabilize yourself enough in this war no?"

She glared at me, "and you think i would tell such thing to a mercenary i just met? If you are a spy it would be akin to finishing equestria off and i would never be this foolish."

"So what? We just part way and i come back when only one of your city is left and you have nothing more to lose?"

She nibbled on her thumbnail,"i can't simply trust you. Don't get me wrong i want to have you on our side, you could be our last hope. but i just can't..."

'jeez, she must be really desperate, i can almost see her hair go white!'

-confirmation, the situation of her peoples and country seem to push her over the edge and prevent her to properly thing and act, she need us but doesn't know how to assure herself our loyalty, she has nothing to bound us to her and too much to lose if we betray her.

'i see...maybe a show of goodwill? Something that would prove we aren't enemy at least?'

-it could work, but what? We already loaned our fire power but it wasn't enough, perhaps something with longer lasting effect.

'a gift of technologie, nothing near our best tech and neither a weapon but still enough to earn us their faith the thing is what, shield? New frame? Material?'

-proposition, the princess luna as openly expressed her despise for the equestrian mobile suit source of energy.

'yes that could work, not the GN drive or minovsky reactor but maybe the ultracompact fusion reactor could work, is their mobile suit compatible though.'

I turned my head to the bertigo of the princess luna and a beam shot out of my eyes scanning the whole thing,

-scanning.....answer, its compatible with minimal change.

"What did you do?!" the angry voice of luna reached my ear or whatever i used to process sound now.

"Checking if my idea could work, anyway, i have an offer to present you."

Luna still eyed me warily at me,"what offer?"

"A gift to show i am not an enemy spy and actually willing to have a long lasting relation with equestria."

She twisted her head to the side,"go on."

"The plan for a new and more potent source of energy for your mobile suit. The ultra compact fusion reactor."

"How much more powerful are we talking here?"

-calculating.....energy level multiplied by 5

"5 time better."

"Truly? that much better? And you'll give us the blueprint just like that?" she actually sounded surprised."what about your technologie no up for sell or trade?"

"I'll be honest, it's not the best energy source i have, maybe the third or fourth best at most, but it's the only one that cannot be weaponized too much it would threaten me gravely. I don't lie to myself and believe i am unbeatable, a sufficiently large army could tire me out and force me to retreat even hurt me after they got used to my fighting style and flight pattern, but if my weapons spread it will happen much sooner than I'd like. i just got this body and came to this land, i lack resource and support to risk being gravely damaged."

"I suppose i can understand not wanting to spread around the only things that can kill you, just like i couldn't trust you without doubt you have no reason to trust us either."

"You couldn't? Does it mean?"

"Don't get your hope up gundam kshatriya, first we'll test this new reactor of yours and if it truly work we'll ready for the operation "new rise", and you'll be part of it. For a hefty reward i can assure you."

"YES! My first client as a mercenary!" with my hand on my knee i lowered into a bow."happy to work with you, please take care of us from now on!"

Luna stayed silent before letting out a, "YOUR FIRST WHAT AS A WHAT?!"
