Jack clicks Will's contact number on his phone. After just one press of the button, he waits for his friend to answer, but...there's no response.

Jack sighs. "Great! I forgot that he's at school."

Finding that calling Will would be a useless gesture, he texts Will instead.

Hey, Will, I want you to come over to my house. There's something I want you to see. Don’t tell anyone else about it, okay?

He sends it.

Before Jack's about to return to Twilight, his cell phone rings with a new number.

He answers. "Hello?"

"Hi, Jack. It's me, Emily."

Jack's surprised when his crush knows his number. "Oh, Emily? How did you know what my number is?"

"Your friend Will told me,” Emily explained. “I asked him what your number was, and he gave me a little piece of paper containing your number.”

Darn it, Will! Jack thinks.

"I heard you weren’t feeling well. Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine,” He answers, then wonders to the point of asking. “Are you in class?"

"No, it's lunch break,” Emily responds. “So, remember when I asked you yesterday if you could come over to my house after school?"

"Um…” He thinks for a moment before remembering. “Oh yeah! Yeah! I forgot about that. Thanks for reminding me. I’ll still come over, don’t worry,” Jack assures. “But, uh, Emily?"

"Yeah?"

"There's something I want to show you when I visit your house. Are your parents there?"

"No. My sister and Mom are visiting my grandparents in Alberta, I elected not to go since I’m staying at my house with my Mom's boyfriend."

"Mom's boyfriend?"

"Oh, my parents have been divorced for two years."

Jack chuckles. "Did not see that coming."

"So, you want to show me something, right? What is it?" Emily asks.

"You'll see, but don’t tell anyone else, okay?"

"Okay."

"Oh, and I just told Will about it too."

"Did you tell him not to tell anyone?”

"Yep, already did."

“Okay. I’ll send you a text when I get home. And don’t worry, whenever I come home from school, my Mom’s boyfriend is always out to work.”

"Okay. Bye, Emily."

"Bye, Jack."

Jack hangs up.

He looks at Rex, who is staring at his owner while he licks his own eyeball.

Jack walks over to Rex's tank, and he picks up a jar of crickets. "You really saw me stuffing my Twilight plushie, did you?" He whispers as he opens the jar. "I know, Twilight's real, but I just don't think I should tell her about the show or anything else involving it." He picks up three crickets, opens the tank, and he drops the crickets into the tank before closing it. "I’m gonna go do some homework."

Jack walks over to his backpack, zips it open, and he pulls out his algebra book and journal. When the books are completely in his grasp and they’re all the way out of the book, he zips his backpack up again.

While Jack is in his room, Twilight climbs on the sofa in front of the TV and sits on it.

She finds that the remote is lying right next to her. However, the one thing she remembers is...without magic or hands, it will be difficult to use the remote. Nevertheless, Twilight opts to use her mouth to grab the end of the remote. She lifts it as she aims the remote towards the TV cable. She puts her left hoof on the bottom of the remote, and she presses the power button.

The TV turns on, with a loud sound that made her jolt because of the volume.

What she sees on the screen in front of her right now is a man with a lab coat and goggles, showing his viewers how to combine some potions. But, when he pours the blue liquid into the red..it explodes.

Twilight rolls her eyes at this, believing that it isn’t giving off actual science at all.

She presses a button that says CH on it to switch the channel to find an anthro rabbit and duck arguing about something.

“Duck season!”

“Wabbit season!”

“Duck season!”

“Wabbit season!”

Finding this show to be of little interest, she flips the channel.

The next thing she comes across is a show where four large turtles are fighting a giant worm-like monster. But she found herself uninterested in it too.

She flips the channel and finds herself seeing a red & golden metallic man flying past some planes.

She flips the channel again, only unlike the other things she has already seen, this channel was showing a news reporter.

“And that concludes our broadcast day, where we give reports on the weather as well as give reports on what’s happening in the world,” The reporter says. “I’m Jerry Winston of the LTV News Channel 196, good day folks.”

She flips the channel again, but this time, she finds that she has come right in the middle of some kind of horror movie, where a really ugly and scary looking monster is chasing after a man and woman. The effects used on the monster are apparently so realistic, that they cause Twilight to jump and cover her eyes.

“Okay, immediate feeling of a nightmare coming while I sleep.” She says to herself with fright while the remote's still in her mouth.

With enough courage, and without having to look at the screen, she flips channels again, this time to find...two guys (one with blonde hair and goatee and wears black glasses, and the other with a tan goatee, wears a black flat cap and glasses) talking about their experiments.

Twilight drops the remote as she shows interest in this TV show which is called 'Mythbusters', the image of that monster from before fading away.

Jack walks into the living room with his journal and algebra book. "You're watching Mythbusters?"

"If that’s what it’s called, then yes." Twilight replies. "This really interests me."

Jack walks to the table and sits on it. He opens his algebra book and turns the page to chapter 5, where his homework paper is, and pulls it out.

As Jack's doing his homework, he's having a hard time doing it. Sometimes after school, Will helped Jack with his algebra homework since Will's an expert on mathematics and physics.

"I wish Will was here." Jack groans.

Hearing his groan, Twilight turns to Jack. "Whatcha doin’?"

The abruptness of Twilight’s question makes Jack jolt a little. He turns around to see her wondering what he is up to.

"Oh, just trying to work on my homework." He explains.

"You have school today?" Twilight asks.

"Well, today's Thursday, so...yeah."

His answer causes the Alicorn to get confused. "Well, if you’re supposed to go to school, how come you're here at home?"

"I had to call it in sick. Last night, I wasn’t feeling too well.” Jack explains.

“Why?” Twilight asks.

“My mind, for a reason I have no idea what the cause was, had a mind of its own and it caused me to get knocked out. By the time I woke up, it was around eleven."

“Oh,” Twilight understands. “Well, I’m sorry you had to miss school, then.”

“It’s alright. I actually like being out of school more than in it.”

Twilight hops out of the sofa and she trots over Jack. "You need help with your homework?"

Jack looks at Twilight, filled with surprise by her question. "Excuse me?"

"You are having a hard time with your homework, aren’t you?"

Jack sighs. "I'm not as smart as Will, who is an expert on math and physics. Do you... study?"

"Well, I am an expert on magic mostly, but I'm also an expert on science, math, and Equestrian history."

"So...can you... help me with my work?"

"Sure."

With that, Twilight goes to get a wooden chair that is sitting next to the doorway to the living room, and she pushes the chair right next to Jack and sits on it.

She looks over at what Jack’s homework is. “So, Algebra, huh?"

"Yeah. You take any algebra classes?"

"Of course. The time I started was when I was a filly, before I got my cutie mark and went into magic school."

"Wow,” Jack says with astonishment. “Kinda reminds me of those Harry Potter books."

"Harry Potter?” Twilight says with confusion. “I've never heard of that. Does it have ponies too?”

Jack gives Twilight a smirk upon that question, mainly because, ironically, the series doesn’t focus on ponies.

"You sure you know about algebra?" He asks to change the subject.

"I got an A in my math class, so that should qualify."

"How about science?"

"Just a B."

"Oh."

"What's your favorite subject from school?" Twilight asks, tilting her head to the right as she does.

"Biology." Jack answers.

"That’s great. It must be really fun to know a lot about animals."

"Well, I'm not really an expert on microorganisms and plants. I have mostly been more into extinct animals."

"I have a friend of mine who knows a lot about animals. Her name is Fluttershy. She also loves animals to the point of taking care of them, and trust me, you do not want to irritate her."

Jack knows who Fluttershy is and her behavior, though he does use his own acting skills to give a look of confusion. "Right. I have a friend who helped me with my biology homework during lunch one time. She's an expert on biology, and she loves animals too."

"Like Fluttershy?"

"Yeah."

"What's her name?"

"Emily Ridley. She's... a nice girl, and-"

Twilight smirks. "Do you like her?"

Jack becomes nervous by this. “What!? No, no, only as a friend. Do you have a crush on somepony?"

Twilight’s eyes widen nervously. "What!? No, no, I don't!"

He raises a mischievous eyebrow at her and smiles. He knows Twilight has a crush on Flash Sentry since the first Equestria Girls movie, though he does feel disappointed that her human world counterpart doesn’t share the same feelings for him or that the pony world counterpart of Flash Sentry didn’t share the same feelings for Twilight.

Twilight clears her throat. "So let's get on with your homework, okay?"

"Okay."

And with that, they get started.

Deep in the forest, Starlight, Spike and the rest of the Mane 6 explore, trying to find Twilight and make sure she’s alright. They have been looking everywhere for her for hours. Pinkie even tries looking under a rock for Twilight by somehow sliding herself under it.

“Twilight!? You there!?” She calls out.

No response coming, Pinkie finds that Twilight obviously isn’t under the rock.

When she slides herself out, her time under the rock reveals that she’s flattened her face and she’s covered with bugs. So, she uses one of her hooves to blow herself up back to normal and then shakes her head like a dog to get the bugs off.

"Twilight!" Applejack calls.

"Twilight!" Rainbow calls.

"Girls! Keep it down!" Starlight hisses. "We don't want to draw any attention to ourselves."

Rainbow faces Starlight as the group stops. "Are you kidding me!? Twilight is lost, and all you’re telling us to do right now is keep it down?! You don't even know where Twilight is, do you?"

Starlight glares at Rainbow. "How should I know where ponies teleport? And besides, we're on an alien planet with no magic, remember!?"

Applejack shows up between Starlight and Rainbow and pushes them back. "Will you two just knock it off!? Arguin’ doesn't help when we're tryin’ to find our friend!"

"Really, Applejack!" Rainbow flatly says. "Then how are we supposed to find Twilight without magic? How come I go find her and bring her back here ten seconds flat when I have wings that can’t help me fly!?"

"Knock it off! Both of you!" Spike shouts. "Listen to what Starlight says. If we don't stop arguing and focus on finding Twilight, there's no telling what will happen to her."

"No, Spike. Rainbow's right." Starlight says. "Without magic or flight, we'll never find her in time."

"Maybe Twilight teleported to where the book is located," Pinkie says.

Starlight's surprised. "How did you know that?"

"Just a hunch."

Despite Pinkie saying that it’s just a hunch, Starlight can’t help but feel that Pinkie is right. The ring must have teleported Twilight to where the book is.

"Come on, guys." Starlight says. "We have to find Twilight before the changelings do!”

They continue to move on, no longer just walking, but walking really fast or trotting.

I wonder what Twilight's up to? Starlight thinks. I mean, if humans have found her, then...there's no telling what they'll do to her.

Author's Note

The next chapter will be available soon. Stay patient.

Also, in the TV part, my editor came up with an idea of Twilight changing the channels, and I found it quite funny to me, but it is not some sort of joke or pun because it's 'real life'.
