Spike Drake and his father Astral Shadow were training, deep in Saddle Arabia. However, there was a bit of an accident. They went to a training ground called Jusenkyo, home of the cursed springs. During training, Astral fell into the Spring of Drowned Bugbear, and Spike fell into the Spring of Drowned Girl. Whenever either of them come into contact with cold water, Astral turns into a bugbear, and Spike turns into a girl. Upon returning to Canterlot, Spike finds out that his father made an agreement with an old friend that he would marry one of his friend's daughters. Chaos ensues
