The Not so Averge Life of a Once Human Now Pony Named Minra

Chapter Thirteen

Minra’s one year anniversary since coming to Equestria had come, and instead of a day that would make any pony else sad that they couldn’t go home this day marked the beginning of the life he had had begun a year ago and marked the last day in the life of his past which he would not give anything up for. Twilight thought that this day would be a reminder that he would never be able to go to his past life however when she saw the look on his face she knew instantly that she was wrong and greeted him with a warm smile and a hug which he happily accepted.

“Happy one-year-anniversary since being sent here.” Twilight said.

“Thanks, and I’m glad that I did, my life has been significantly better since coming here.” Minra said cheerfully.

“I’m glad.” Twilight said as she waved a hoof and trotted away.

“Minra walked to the park with radio, headphones and comic books in his saddlebag with some snacks that he would be willing to share with any critters that wanted a piece.

On the way there he received smiles and waves from the residents until he reached the park where he found a particularly nice shaded tree where he set his saddlebag, took out his radio, plugged in his headphones and proceeded to listen to the CD, and read that comic books he had gotten a month before. The songs on the CD were some of his favorite, some of which were great for reading action books, while others were just good because they simply were. Soon some critters came by, asking for a treat and once done eating they would snuggle up to Minra like he was their mother, and he soon found himself asleep. Fluttershy was walking by when she noticed the sight and let out a sequel and kissed Minra on the forehead, then trotted away. A while later Minra’s nap was interrupted by the feeling of the critters moving and fleeing in terror, when he looked up there was a beast coming towards him that looked to be made of stone but had some aspects of animals. It had the body of a dragon, the tail of a scorpion and the head of a bull. Minra quickly turned off the radio and packed his things then transformed into his dragon pony form knowing that a fight would ensue. Minra’s friends showed up much to his relief when Rainbow Dash asked what that thing was.

“I think that’s a gargoyle.” Twilight responded.

“But don’t they normally protect against evil spirits?” Minra asked.

“Yes normally they do but somehow I don’t think this one is here to fend off any evil spirits.” Twilight replied.

“In any case we might have a fight on our hooves.” Minra said as the gargoyle took to the skies and dive bombed the group.

“Get down!” Rainbow Dash shouted as the group ducked to evade the attack. The gargoyle let out a roar that sounded like a mix between a bull, and a dragon as it flew back around preparing for another attack which the group evaded.

“Well how do we defeat a gargoyle?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“To be honest I don’t know, I’ve never read anything about a gargoyle that went rouge.” Twilight replied.

“In any case the thing’s coming back.” Applejack said pointing a hoof at the stone creature.

The gargoyle dive bombed once more but this time it landed on the ground where it proceeded to charge the group when Minra stopped it by grabbing the gargoyle’s horns. The gargoyle let out the same roar as before and tried to shake Minra off but to no avail.

“Good, keep it in place.” Applejack said as she went to kick the gargoyle but only received a glare from it and a whack by the tail sending her several feet away.

“Applejack!” The group shouted as the gargoyle turned it’s attention to Minra and swatted him away which flung him into the very tree he was sitting under causing him to be knocked unconscious and reverted back to his earth pony form.

When Minra woke up Fluttershy was the only one who wasn’t taken out by the gargoyle, Fluttershy closed her eyes as the gargoyle roared and went to headbutt Fluttershy and in a blur of blue Fluttershy was pulled out of harms way by a now angry Minra. Fluttershy opened her eyes to see Minra in his dragon pony form but it looked different with Minra now having four horns, a head that was more of a cross between a dragon’s head and a pony’s head, more digitigrade legs, fangs, and a tail that that was longer with the pony tail being at the end. Along with his unicorn horn was a smaller horn in front of it and two horns behind his ears that were in the shape of the letter s. The gargoyle roared and lunged at the two ponies when Minra appeared in front of it and broke off one of the horns. The gargoyle screeched and tried to hit him with it’s tail but the attack was evaded by Minra who stabbed the gargoyle in the chest with the horn causing it to freeze instantly as the light drained from it’s eyes and cracks soon formed all over the body as the gargoyle crumbled into a pile of rocks where it once stood. The other’s that were knocked unconscious soon woke up to see Minra standing there looking at the pile of rocks.

“Minra is that you?” Twilight asked as Minra turned to face her and gave her a thumbs up with one of his claws, then he turned back to his earth pony form.

“What happened?” Twilight asked.

“Well I woke up to see all but Fluttershy unconscious when the gargoyle was about to attack her so I pulled her out of harms way then I broke off one of it’s horns and evaded an attack from it’s tail and stabbed it in the chest which caused the light to drain from it’s eyes and it to crumble into a pile of rocks.” Minra replied.

“I mean other than that, why did you have a more dragon shaped head, with a long tail that had your pony tail at the end, you had fangs, three more horns and more dragon like legs.” Twilight said.

“Oh that, I didn’t even notice that but are all of you alright?” Minra asked.

“I think so.” Rarity said holding her head.

“Me two.” Pinkie Pie said.

“Some rest should do me some good.” Applejack replied.

“I’m gonna need a serious nap after that, and hey where did the gargoyle go?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“I’m okay.” Starlight and Spike replied.

“Well that pile of rocks over by Minra, well that’s the gargoyle.” Twilight responded.

“But how did it turn into a pile of rocks?” Rainbow Dash asked.

Minra proceeded to tell them about what had happened after he woke up with Fluttershy, and Twilight backing up his claims.

“I think I’m gonna need a massage after that.” Rarity replied.

“Same, I though being thrown through a wall hurt but being thrown into a tree, that’s even worse.” Minra said as he rubbed his neck.

“Still what caused that gargoyle to go rouge like that?” Twilight thought to herself.

“Something the matter sugarcube?” Applejack asked.

“Oh it’s just that gargoyles wouldn’t attack unless provoked let alone creatures that aren't evil spirits.” Twilight replied.

“She’s right, even in my home world the gargoyles there were made to keep evil spirits away.” Minra added.

The group made sure each pony was okay and not seriously hurt which they weren’t. Applejack, Spike, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash went home. Rarity went to the spa to get some of the stress from the event out of her system while Fluttershy made sure that the animals were okay. The two ponies left were Minra and Twilight, they were discussing what had just happened.

“I wonder why your dragon pony form had gotten some changes.” Twilight said as she picked up the pieces from the gargoyle.

“It might be because I’m getting stronger?” Minra suggested.

“That could be a possibility, your powers have been becoming more noticeable, especially the ones that you didn’t know you had.” Twilight replied.

“You’re right but anyway are you going to do with those?” Minra asked as he pointed to the rocks.

“Well I was going to see if I can find who or what caused this gargoyle to go rouge.” Twilight replied.

“That makes sense, well I’m going to help Fluttershy with the animals.” Minra said as he walked to Fluttershy.

“Okay, I’ll let you know if I find anything.” Twilight replied as she waved a hoof at Minra who promptly waved back.

A while later all the frightened animals were rounded up and brought to their homes after seeing if they were injured in anyway which they weren’t.

“Thanks for helping me Minra.” Fluttershy said as she let the last of the critters climb onto a nearby tree.

“No problem, I’m just glad they’re all safe.” Minra replied.

“Me too but you did look cute when you were asleep before the gargoyle attack.” Fluttershy said while blushing.

“Wh-what do you mean?” Minra asked as his face started turning red.

“Well I saw you fast asleep with all the critters snuggled up against you.” Fluttershy said cheerfully.

The two of them chatted as they walked to Fluttershy’s cottage where Minra stayed the night. The two of them woke up to find a note on her door which was an invitation to a party in Sugarcube Corner that was for Minra as a make up party for the day before when the party was to originally take place but because of the attack by the gargoyle the party had to be pushed to the next day due to everypony including Minra being either doing research or exhausted and for most of them it was the latter even Pinkie Pie who would normally never push a party date until later did this time even though she was normally as energetic as a puppy in a room filled with dog toys and treats how because of what happened she was exhausted. Not wanting to miss a party thrown by Pinkie Pie, let alone one that was for him. The two ponies left a while later giving them enough time to chat as they walked to the party and still making it with about ten minutes to spare. This time only half of the town’s population was at the party but it was still enough to practically fill up the bakery.
