The Not so Averge Life of a Once Human Now Pony Named Minra

Chapter Two

Minra, Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash headed to an open field near Ponyville.

“Okay let’s test your strength.” Twilight said making a boulder so big it dwarfed them.

“Minra, for this test you’ll have to kick this boulder.”

“Are you sure about this Minra, I mean I’ve kicked boulders before but even I have trouble with one’s of this size?” Applejack asked concerned.

“I don’t know but I’ll try.” Minra said confidently as he turned away from the boulder and kicked it with his back legs, sending the boulder flying.

“Awesome!” Rainbow Dash squealed.

“Okay test number two, since it looks like you have a unicorn horn it would be safe to assume you can use magic.”Twilight said clapping her hooves together.

“But I don’t know how to use magic.”

“Well that’s easy just focus on the object or spell you want to use, make an image of what you want your spell to do but since it’s your first time using magic why don’t you try to lift this rock.” Twilight said pointing to a rock on the ground.

“Um well I don’t know if I can.”

“Trust me if you can send that boulder flying with a kick then you can lift a rock and like I said all you need is to focus.”

Deciding to go through with it Minra Focused on the rock but nothing happened.

“Hm, let me try something.” Applejack said as she picked up the rock and chucked it at Minra, but when he closed his eyes and braced for impact but realizing that he had not been hit Minra opened his eyes only to find the rock floating inches from his face and his horn glowing green, apparently his magic had caught the rock like it was second nature to him.

The three of them just said “whoa” at the same time.

“Okay test number three, flying.” Twilight said.

“For this test we’re gonna see how fast you can fly by doing a race from here to four laps around Ponyville.” Rainbow Dash said eagerly.

“Okay lets do this.” Minra said confidently.

“On your mark, get set, go!” The four of them yelled.

Rainbow Dash and Minra took off flying, the two of them equal in speed however when the two of them reached their second lap Rainbow got a little carried away and decided to pull off a Sonic Rain-boom in hopes of winning however when she looked behind her she saw Minra was keeping pace with her and not paying attention Rainbow Dash hit a bird and started falling unable to catch herself due to a broken wing. Rainbow Dash started screaming in terror and afraid that she was gonna die if she didn’t catch herself. Just as when she was about to hit the ground Minra caught her, turned on his back and shielded her with his wings. They had hit the ground with a solid thud.

After the dust had settled from the crash Twilight and Applejack rushed over and asking if they were alright. Rainbow Dash had received a broken wing ans some miner cuts due to hitting the wing but Minra on the other hand was fine. After Rushing Rainbow Dash to the ER the group found out that Rainbow Dash’s worst injury was a green-stick fracture to the wing on her left side making her unable to fly any time soon. Other than being annoyed that she would take such a careless risk Twilight and Applejack were happy that she was alive after a while they left leaving Rainbow Dash and I in her hospital room. We chatted for a bit and I found out that her favorite books are Daring Do books and that she has a pet Tortoise Named Tank. Eventually I had to leave but before I did Rainbow Dash said thank you for saving my life. I replied with don’t mention it and I left. I found it hard to sleep that night still not used to sleeping in another world but I did get some sleep and that morning I asked Twilight if I’m allowed to have any pets in the castle because I had a dog that I missed. She responded to my question with an “of coarse you can get a pet but you have to be responsible for it” Twilight told me so when I asked were I could go to adopt one she suggested Fluttershy’s place. After arriving I knocked on her door. She opened and asked what she could do for me so I told her I was looking to adopt a pet. Her face lit up like she had just received the best news in her life and it was kinda adorable.

“So what kind of pet do you want Minra.” Fluttershy asked.

“A dog would be nice if you have any that is?” Minra asked Fluttershy.

“I have a ton of them ranging from a female wolf mix to a male purebred chihuahua.”

“What’s the breeds in the wolf mix?” Minra asked.

“Well she’s half wolf, a quarter Golden Retriever, a Corgi and one hundred percent pure love she’s also very well behaved and listens to commands well.” Fluttershy said.

“I’ll take her then.” Minra said.

“Great and may I ask what you’re gonna name her?” Fluttershy asked

I’ll name her Sunshine.”

“Aww what a lovely name, okay I’ll be back with her so you can just sit on my couch.” Fluttershy said.

So I waited until Fluttershy came back with a wolf sized dog with soft coarse fur that was mostly brown with some white areas in some areas, she was wagging her tale in anticipation in seeing her new owner. Upon seeing Minra Sunshine’s tail wagged faster in hopes that he was her new owner.

“Sunshine this is your new own-gah!” Sunshine couldn’t contain her excitement and jumped onto Minra and started licking him feverishly.

“Ah sorry about that I was gonna warn you about her habit of jumping onto her owner, I hope you can forgive me for not saying it sooner.”

“Don’t apologize I love Sunshine already.” Minra said happily.

“Okay here’s her leash, have a nice day.” Fluttershy waved.

I was walking Sunshine home when I spotted Pinkie Pie or rather she spotted me and came hopping to Sunshine and I.

“Is that you new dog, she looks like a wolf, what’s her name?” Pinkie Pie asked.

“Yes she’s my new dog, she’s half Wolf, a quarter Labrador, a quarter Corgi and her name is Sunshine.

Sunshine barked at the sound of her name.

“So I hear you saved Rainbow Dash’s life yesterday, hmmm?” Pinkie Pie asked.

“I guess why?” Minra asked in confusion.

“Let me guess you like her don’t you?” Pinkie Pie asked with a smirk growing on her face as she asked the question.

“Wh-what makes you think that?” Minra said in embarrassment.

“Well it’s because your face is turning as red as a ripe strawberry, hehe don’t worry I won’t tell her.” Pinkie Pie said giggling and hopping away.

I got back to Twilight’s castle and walked in with Sunshine walking besides me and after I had shut the door I let her off leash and she started running around and exploring her new home so I told her not to break anything. Just as I said that Spike walked in greeting but upon seeing Sunshine he screamed and shouted that there’s a wolf in the castle, soon Twilight teleported with a small poof into the room ready to fight but seeing Sunshine licking Spike just giggled and saying “oh dear what a big bad wolf we have here”

Spike wasn’t amused at Twilight’s sarcasm while sitting with his arms crossed and covered from head to toe in saliva.

“Minra is this your new pet?” Twilight asked.

“Yes, her name’s Sunshine and Spike was half correct when he screamed that there was a wolf in the castle because Sunshine is actually half wolf, a quarter Labrador and a quarter Corgi, though I would be careful around her because she has a habit of jumping on ponies however she’s very well behaved and knows right from wrong as well as take directions well.”

“Cool, who’s a good girl, you yes you are.” Twilight said while petting Sunshine.

Spike and Minra were just staring at Twilight with really? Expressed on their faces.

Rainbow Dash came in through the door causing Sunshine to get ready to pounce. Seeing how close she was to pouncing Minra told Sunshine not to and she listened.

"Rainbow Dash you’re out of the hospital already?” Twilight asked.

“Yea they just wanted to keep me overnight for observations but since I can’t fly for a while can I stay here until I can fly again please? Rainbow Dash Asked.

“No problem.” Twilight said smiling.

Sunshine’s ears suddenly shot up and she started growling, something had clearly put her on edge.

“It’s quiet a little to quiet, Rainbow Dash, Spike you stay here and watch Sunshine, Twilight your with me.” Minra said.

“Got it.”

As Twilight and I headed our way to the door there was a low and guttural growl emanating from the doors when they swung open relieving a large wolf like creature that was black in coloration but it wasn’t a wolf because it had the wings of a bat and blue flames erupting from it’s back. Still snarling the creature turned to Rainbow dash and that's when it hit me, it must of smelled some of Rainbow Dash’s blood from when she collided with that bird and some droplets fell to the ground and must of left a trail. The creature soon darted to Rainbow Dash, without a second thought I jumped in front of her allowing the creature to bite down on my front leg. I winced at the pain but I still kept it in place allowing for Twilight and the others to escape and I soon took my dragon form and did an uppercut with my free leg which had caused it to let go and when I looked at my leg I noticed that it was almost healed. The creature had let out a blood boiling howl and lunged at me however I evaded the attack and grabbed it by it’s tale and threw it out the castle. It seamed to fly off in defeat but I had to make sure so I followed it only to realize it wasn’t escaping but was still after Rainbow Dash and just as it was about to swoop in I tackled the creature. It gave of a roar that I countered with one of my own roars. We’d wrestled a bit which was enough to draw a crowd however a held it down with my feet and growled at it signaling that I was the stronger one and it finally gave in realizing it’s defeat so I’d let it go and it flew away to Celestia knows where but before it gave another growl in which I replied with a roar which was enough to scare it away. I quickly reverted back to my base form and Rainbow Dash, Twilight, Spike, and of coarse Sunshine rushed up to me wanting to see if I was harmed. However Sunshine being Sunshine she was the first to greet me by jumping on me and licking my face in relief.

“Minra, are you okay were you hurt? The three of them asked.

“I am and I also discovered two new powers, regeneration, and the ability to roar like a dragon.” Minra said.

“It was so cool like when you jumped in front of me you were glowing green like the seventh element of harmony.” Rainbow Dash Said.

Apparently Rainbow Dash was right about me glowing because Spike and Twilight had also saw me glow green as well.

“I think I know what the seventh element is.” Minra said.

“Oh and what is it?” Twilight asked.

“Well it’s just a theory but I think the seventh element is self sacrifice.” Minra said unsure of his answer.

We later found out that, that wolf like creature was a Kludde

“Of coarse why didn’t I think of that, it makes perfect sense like you protected Rainbow Dash by jumping in front of her knowing full well you could’ve been killed but you chose to do it anyway to save Rainbow Dash.” Twilight said.

“Yea that was pretty cool of you like it made you twenty percent cooler however I am getting tired of being saved.” Rainbow Dash pouted.

Later that night Minra was asleep in a bed with Sunshine when he started having a nightmare about him loosing control of his powers and wrecking havoc on Ponyville while he watched from afar unable to do anything but watch and scream as his friends and new home were being destroyed by himself. When he looked up at the moon he saw it was flashing brighter and brighter as it got closer but he soon found out it wasn’t the moon but the princess of the night also known as Princess Luna, Princess Celestia’s younger sister who’s a dark blue alicorn with a flowing night blue mane and tail with a black crown and a crescent moon as her cutie mark flew down to Minra who was just staring at all the destruction.

“Minra, my name is Princess Luna and judging by what’s happening I’m assuming that you’re afraid that you can’t protect your home?” Princess Luna asked.

“N-no I’m scarred that I’ll lose control of my power and go on a rampage, and I’ll destroy my home or worse hurt my friends.”

“I see you’re scared of your power however it’s your power and you wouldn’t have this power if you couldn’t handle it.” Princess Luna said.

Looking up at Princess Luna Minra sniffed and asked are you sure. Princess Luna smiled and gave a nod as she floated back into the moon. With a gasp Minra woke up and looked out his window, it was still night out so he decided to take Sunshine for a walk just so he could clear his head. While on his stroll Minra noticed that Ponyville had an eerie peaceful atmosphere about it at night. After a while Minra decided it was time for them to head back.

“Come on Sunshine it’s time to head home.” Minra told Sunshine.

After arriving home Minra and Sunshine got into their bed, and soon after Sunshine quickly fell asleep and Minra fell asleep quickly afterwords. When Minra woke up Twilight and Starlight were in the kitchen eating cereal.

“morning Minra how’d you sleep?” Starlight asked.

“Good, also you probably won’t see me much today.” Minra said.

“Why?” Starlight and Twilight asked at the same time.

“Well I’m gonna be at Saddle Lake testing my abilities and I figured Sunshine would like to go for a swim as well."

“That sounds like fun, how about we invite everypony?” Twilight asked cheerfully.

“Okay, I could use a little relaxation.” Starlight added.

Just then Spike and Rainbow Dash walked in and asked what’s going on.

“We’re going to the beach!” Twilight Clapped her hooves together in anticipation.

“But it’s to early to go to the beach. Spike said.

Starlight and Twilight looked at each other and giggled.

“What’s so funny?” Spike asked confused.

Minra turned to Spike and told him that she meant later in the day.

Spike just face palmed himself at the realization of his own mistake.

“A beach day, aww yea I’m so in but you know as long as I stay on the beach part then my cast should be okay.” Rainbow said.

“I’ll pass out the invitations when I go on a walk with Sunshine.” Minra said.

Several hours later and everyone arrived at Saddle Lake, Pinkie Pie brought beach stuff like floaties, umbrellas, towels and chairs, Applejack brought the food and drinks, The CMC crew brought water guns, Rarity brought sunscreen and Fluttershy brought food for the animals.

Pinkie and Applejack immediately set up a volleyball court. Sunshine raced to the lake and jumped in. Meanwhile, Minra was practicing on different fire breathing focuses.

“Just don’t get any of that icky sand on me.” Rarity shuddered at that thought.

While Scootalo, Sweetie Bell and Applebloom were playing by the shore a dark figure had started emerging from the water causing the CMC crew to run in terror but upon closer inspection it was just Sunshine covered in seaweed. The three of them giggled. Starlight and Spike covered Twilight in sand turning her into a sand shell. Fluttershy was feeding the ducks some bread and Rarity was working on her tan while Spike watched.

“Hey Minra you’ll fly me up a couple of feet I could make a canon ball that would splash Spike are you willing to help?” Pinkie Pie whispered to Minra.

Giving a small nod Minra flew Pinkie Pie up a couple of feet and when he had let go she shouted “cannonball” and once she hit the water a small wave washed over Spike, leaving some seaweed on his head and two seashells on his chest, he however was not amused but every one else giggled at the sight.

Later when Minra and Sunshine were just relaxing Fluttershy came up to them and asked Minra how Sunshine’s doing.

“She’s been great though spike once got scared because he thought that she was dangerous but when Twilight arrived Spike was just sitting on the floor covered in dog slobber.” Minra said as he petted Sunshine who was fast asleep.

“Oh my Celestia really?” Fluttershy giggled.

Thinking to himself Minra thought that Fluttershy’s laugh was adorable.

“Okay everypony the fire’s ready.” Twilight called.

“Coming.” The group called back.

“Okay, who want’s to go first?” Starlight asked.

“I’ll go first.” Minra volunteered.

“Ever heard of the Foal of the Fog?” Minra asked.

Everyone shook their heads.

“Well the legend states that the Foal of the Fog was an ordinary foal like you three however when he was swimming in the middle of Saddle Lake something latched onto his leg and pulled him under, they were never able to find his body and now they say if your near the shore and feel a tapping then it’s already to late because he’ll drag you to the watery depths where he dwells until the fog rolls around to claim another victim.” Minra said creepily.

“Wait where's Pinkie Pie?” Starlight asked.

“Applejack I’m scared.” Applebloom said.

“Oh don’t worry sugarcube she’s probably prancing us.” Applejack told her sister.

Pinkie Pie suck up on Applejack and said “or am I?” Pinkie Pie whispered in Applejack’s ear.

As soon as Pinkie Pie said that Applejack jumped twenty feat off the ground with a squeal.

Everyone started laughing because they had all been in on it except Applejack of coarse. A few stories later everypony decided it was time to go home so they put the fire out, packed their things and went home.
