The Not so Averge Life of a Once Human Now Pony Named Minra

Chapter seven

Minra and sunshine woke up one morning only to hear Twilight squealing from her bedroom. Deciding to ask what’s wrong rather then listen to anymore squeals Minra got out of bed and headed to Twilight’s room and knocked on the door.

“Twilight is everything okay, it’s 6:30 in the morning?” Minra asked while still half asleep.

Twilight opened the door and apologized.

“Oh sorry it’s just that it’s the first day of December which means Hearts Warming is gonna be here soon.” Twilight said excitedly.

“Oh if that’s all then I’m going back to sleep.” Minra said yawning as he walked back to is room.

“Okay, I’ll be quieter.” Twilight responded.

Later that day Minra went out to buy presents for Hearts Warming. For Pinkie Pie he bought her a baking cook book, For Rainbow Dash he bought her a Daring Do action figure, For Spike he got him a Topaz dragon statue that took up most of his bits but it was worth it, for Twilight he got her a signed copy of one of Star Swirl’s books, for Fluttershy he got her a picture of all her animal friends, for Applejack he got her some steel toed boots, for Rarity he got her a sewing kit so she can pack all her sewing items for a trip and for Starlight he got her a kite. With the remaining bits Minra had saved he bought a ton of cupcakes for his class before winter break. Buying and wrapping everything was the easy part, hiding the presents from his friends was the hard part, especially since tree of them could use magic, one of them had a pet bunny that could fit anywhere and a two feet tall dragon. One day Twilight asked Minra if he wanted to have a snowball fight with the others.

“Sure” Minra responded as the two of them walked outside to see Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie shooting snowballs at Spike and Applejack.

“Come on y'all we’re getting slaughtered here.” Applejack said while her and Spike hid behind while being shot at with snowballs.

“Hey no fair now you got four members on your team while we only have two.” Rainbow said trying to protest.

“Says the pony who can throw snowballs almost as fast as Pinkie Pie.” Spike added.

“He does have a good point Dashy.” Pinkie Pie said.

“Fine but no magic!” Rainbow said annoyed.

“Deal, come on Minra.” Twilight said as the two of the ran to Spike and Applejack’s side.

Snow balls pelted the wall that the four pony team had made to protect them from Pinkie Pie’s constant pelting of the frozen balls of water.

“Just give it a rest, no matter how many ponies you get on your team we’ll win.” Rainbow Dash said as Minra prepared a snowball and chucked it a distracted Rainbow Dash.

“Aghh, you’re gonna pay for that!” Rainbow shouted after being hit by the snowball.

Spike rolled out of the wall with snowball hand in hand ready to hit Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash but failed to when Pinkie Pie’s rein of snowballs focused on spike and left him in covered in snow that some how formed the shape of his body.

“Applejack I need you to buck some snow.” Twilight told Applejack.

“Got it.” The orange mare replied as she raised her hind legs and kicked the snow wall so hard tat snow was sent flying and had it both Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie.

“Gahh, Dashy look I’m a Pinkie-cicle.” Pinkie Pie giggled.

The two ponies shook the snow off of them when Minra and Twilight jumped from the wall and threw snowballs at the two. After the novelty had stopped the ponies decided to make snow-stallions with one of which was in the shape of a dragon. The five ponies soon realized that spike was missing.

“Spike where are you?” Twilight asked.

With a stutter in his voice Spike responded with “I-I’m r-right h-here.” the baby dragon called from the dragon shaped snow-stallion.

“Oops sorry Spike, we should probably get you inside.” Twilight said as she picked up the shriving baby dragon.

“Speaking of which, Minra how come you’re not wearing anything to keep you warm?” Pinkie Pie asked.

“Oh it’s because I’m not cold.” Minra responded.

“Not cold, but it’s like twenty-three degrees out here and even with my winter coat I still have to wear a scarf.” The blue pegasis said.

“I’m just not cold.” Minra shrugged.

“Also where’s your winter coat?” Pinkie Pie asked.

Minra looked down at his chest realizing he had no winter coat. Minra simply said “Huh I guess I don’t need it.”

“What’s going on?” Twilight asked as she walked out of the castle.

“Minra has no winter coat.” Rainbow Dash said.

“Oh really, huh and you’re not cold?” Twilight asked Minra.

“Nope not in the slightest.”

“Minra do you mind if I place wing on your chest?” Twilight asked.

“Uh okay?” Minra said in confusion as Twilight placed one of her wings.

Twilight’s face grew from that of skepticism to that of shock.

“Uh Twilight is everything okay?” Applejack asked.

“Yea it’s just that he doesn’t feel cold in fact he’s far from it.” Twilight said in amazement.

“Let me see.” Rainbow Dash said skeptically and when see put a hoof to him she realized that Twilight was right.

“What do you think is causing this?” Twilight asked Minra.

“I think it might have to do with my powers.” Minra explained.

“Yea that’s probably it, also you wanna help Spike, Starlight and I to help out with decorating the castle?” Twilight asked.

The four ponies headed inside to see Spike albeit in a blanket and scarf helping Starlight with decorating the walls.

“Hey you ponies how you doing?” Starlight asked.

“Good except we found out that Minra’s powers doesn’t allow him to be cold.” Applejack said.

“That doesn’t surprise me.” Starlight said.

“Applejack, Minra can you set up the Hearts Warming tree?” Spike asked.

“Leave it to us.” The two of them said as Minra transformed into his dragon form and picked up the tree and held it in place while Applejack screwed the bolts to keep the tree in the base.

“There that ought to do it.” Applejack said as she wiped from sweat off her forehead.

Minra flew down and transformed back to his earth pony form.

The time flew by as the group was decorating Twilight’s castle. When the group was finished the halls and walls were decorated with Hearts Warming items, the two magic ponies used their magic to decorate the tree and rainbow dash flew up and put the topper on the tree. Minra went to Fluttershy’s for the day and while it was a particularly heavy snow day there was still ponies out playing out in the snow, most of them fillies and colts but a few mares and stallions one of which was a pink earth pony that was playing outside a closed Sugarcube Corner. He instantly knew who the pony was but rather then say hi Minra just trotted on to Fluttershy’s while receiving looks from ponies who were confused at the fact that he was out in the snow with no winter clothes or winter coat. Minra soon reached Fluttershy’s cottage and knocked on the door. While he waited outside were any normal pony would surely become a ponycicle if they didn’t have their winter coats and some protection, however when he had turned around he saw that there were some small frozen puddles where his tracks had been that’s when he realized how hot his body temperature is. Soon a yellow pegasis opened the door.

“Oh hey Minra.” Fluttershy said with a sneeze.

“Fluttershy are you okay?” Minra asked concerned.

“Y-yea I just have a cold.” Fluttershy’s responded.

“Oh okay well may I come in?” Minra asked.

“O-of course.” Fluttershy said while almost passing out when Minra caught her.

“W-wow y-you’re r-really warm.” Fluttershy said blushing as she leaned on Minra’s shoulder.

“I know but you should get the rest.” Minra said as he helped her up to her room and once in bed Fluttershy asked him something.

“Minra, where’s your winter coat and winter clothes?” Fluttershy asked.

“I don’t need it but you should get some rest, otherwise you won’t get any better but don’t worry I’ll be here to make sure you get some rest.” Minra said as he kissed Fluttershy's nose.

“Thank you, Minra.” Fluttershy said while blushing.

“No problem.” Minra said while tucking in the sick pegasis.

“U-um Minra can you read me a story?” Fluttershy asked.

“Sure.” Minra said giving a soft smile.

Minra read a story called the soft bunny and then noticed that Fluttershy is asleep with a small smile on her. How cute Minra thought as he put the book back and walked around her house making sure all her animals are okay, when he heard a knock on her door.

“Who is it?” Minra asked as he opened her door.

“Hey Fluttersh- oh hey Minra where’s Fluttershy?” Rarity asked.

“She has a cold so I’m taking care of her animals while she is getting some rest.” Minra explained.

“Oh okay well when she feels better tell her that I want to talk to her.” Rarity said as she walked away waving a hoof.

“Will do.” Minra said.

Minra made sure that Fluttershy’s pets were fed and decided it would be for the best if he slept the night at Fluttershy’s just in case she needed anything. However the next morning she felt a lot better and her cold was gone, and when she got downstairs she saw Minra sleeping on her couch.

“Thanks Minra.” Fluttershy said while kissing his forehead when he woke up to find her kissing him, Fluttershy blushed and said.

“Th-thanks for taking care of me and my animals.”

“No problem oh and Rarity came by while you were asleep and asked me to tell you that she wanted to talk to you.” Minra said smiling.

“Oh okay thanks Minra.” Fluttershy said smiling.

Later Minra trotted home to see Twilight sitting in her chair reading.

“Hiya Twilight.” Minra said waving a hoof.

“Hey Minra I see you spent the night at Fluttershy’s house.” Twilight responded.

“Well I kind of had to because she had a cold so I took care of her and her animals however she’s feeling much better now.” Minra replied.

“That’s great, speaking of which what are your plans for your students?” Twilight asked.

“Oh well I was gonna buy some winter and Hearts Warming themed cupcakes and serve them the day before winter break.” Minra responded.

“That’s a great idea.” Twilight said.

“So have you sent a letter to Princess Celestia about me not having a winter coat and me having a ridiculously high body temperature?” Minra asked.

“Oh no I haven’t but I would say it’s ridiculously high.” Twilight responded.

“I would because while I was waiting for Fluttershy to open the door yesterday I glanced behind me and saw that there was frozen puddles where my tracks had been.” Minra said, Twilight’s eyes widened in shock.

“I didn’t know you were that warm.” Twilight responded.

“Yea it was a shock to me as well.” Minra said.

“Spike!” Twilight shouted.

“Yes Twilight.” Spike said.

“Take a letter, Dear Princess Celestia we have recently discovered that Minra’s abilities now include a really high body temperature that allows him to be out in the snow with out a winter coat or winter clothes.” Twilight said as Spike finished the letter and sent it to Princess Celestia. A letter came back via Spike’s mouth, the letter said

Dear Princess Twilight Sparkle,

Thank you for informing about more discoveries of Minra’s abilities. This is a surprise to me as much as I amuse it is to the rest of you. However take this time to enjoy the holidays.

The next day was the last day before Winter Break and Minra had brought the cupcakes in and put them on a counter before class started along with some paper plates and paper cups. As the students walked into the class room their expressions grew to that of amazement upon seeing the newly decorated classroom with the aroma of fresh cupcakes and kid-friendly apple cider with a movie that was ready to be played. All the students gasped in unison and ran to the cupcakes but before they could grab any Sunshine ran in between the two.

“Now now, not so fast everycreature, first pass in your homework, then line up and take at the most one of each cupcake flavor or if you only want one that’s fine too and grab a cup and get some kid-friendly apple cider and once you do and once you’ve done all that I’ll start the movie also you can sit anywhere you want.” Minra said as Sunshine returned to her bed as all the students lined up to give Minra their homework and head to the mountain of cupcakes and Cider.

The day soon went by and soon it was the week before everyone went home for the holiday, meanwhile at Twilight’s castle a party was being held for all of Ponyville before everypony went home.

“M-Minra, can I ask you something?” Fluttershy asked.

“Sure.” Minra said as he walked with Fluttershy.

“Um I’m going to be with my parents for Hearts Warming, and I was thinking that maybe I could um...introduce you to my parents?” Fluttershy asked.

“Su-sure.” Minra responded in shock.

“Th-thank you, I’ll be going on Wednesday.” Fluttershy said as she gave Minra a kiss on his cheek.

The party went on when Minra and Fluttershy realized that the two of them were under some mistletoe. The two ponies blushed as they leaned in to kiss one-another, their soft lips touched as they stood their for a while though to them it felt like only a second had passed and when the two stopped they giggled until they notice that every pony was looking at them and for quite a while there was silence until Pinkie Pie broke the ice by shouting that this was no longer just a Hearts Warming party but a new couple party.

“Um Pinkie Pie, we’ve been dating since November.” Fluttershy said blushing.

“Whaaa, you mean that you’ve been dating since November and now just decided to open up about your relation ship?” Pinkie Pie shouted in shock.

“W-well yea we thought that the Heart’s Warming party would be the best time to tell everypony.” Minra said while still bright red.

“I hope your not mad.” Fluttershy said.

“Mad? Puh-lease this just makes this party even more special now lets party!” Pinkie shouted as everypony started to dance.

A couple days later Fluttershy and Minra met up at the air balloon port where Minra loaded his and Fluttershy’s bags into the balloon and helped her in and soon after they were off flying in the sky until they landed at the air balloon port in Clouds Dale where they were greeted but three pegasi one of which was a teel colored stallion with teel eyes, a light pink mane and tail with a light pink mustache, a sand blue sweater and three clouds for his cutie mark, across from him was a light yellow mare, with a dark red mane and tail with teel box glasses, golden necklace, magenta eyes and some flowers as her cutie mark. In between the two pegasi was a tall teel colored stallion pegasis with light a light yellow mane and tail with magenta eyes, stubble and a feather as his cutie mark.

“Fluttershy, we missed you.” The three pegasi shouted as they ran to hug Fluttershy.

“I missed you to and before I forget this is my stallionfriend Minra, Minra this is my brother Zephyr Breeze, my mother and my father.” Fluttershy said as she introduce them to each other.

“Nice to meet you Minra, we’re so glad that our little Fluttershy has finally found somepony.” Fluttershy’s parents said causing Fluttershy to become embarrassed.

“Any way we’ll chat later but for now we should get you settled in.” Mrs. Shy said.

The five ponies walked to Mr and Mrs. Shy’s house where upon arriving Mr. Shy took their bags up to the room where Fluttershy and Minra would be staying.

“Would you like a seat?” Mrs. Shy asked.

“Sure.” Minra said as he sat on the couch with Fluttershy sitting next to him.

“So Minra tell us about your self?” Mr. Shy asked as he sat next to his wife.

“Oh well, I um…I like to draw, and read.” Minra said rather disappointed that he wasn’t more interesting.

“Oh is that all?” Mr. Shy asked.

“Oh no there’s more, he has powers.” Fluttershy said.

“Oh really like what?” Zephyr asked.

“Well I may or may not have the ability to transform into a dragon alicorn highbrid.” Minra said.

“Really, can you show us?” Mrs. Shy asked.

“Um sure.” Minra said as he stood up and transformed into is dragon form the three ponies were amazed at the sight that beheld them and gave out a gasp in unison.

“That’s not just it, he’s also the seventh element of harmony.” Fluttershy said with sparkles in her eyes Minra simply blushed as he reverted back to his Earth Pony form.

The five ponies chatted until it was time for bed where upon entering there room Fluttershy asked what Minra thought of her family.

“They’re pretty nice.” Minra responded as he climbed into bed with his marefriend and cuddled until they were fast asleep.

The days flew by as Fluttershy’s parents showed Minra around Cloudsdale until it was Hearts Warming Eve where Minra went to set Fluttershy’s present under the tree except when he went to do so he bumped into Fluttershy who was placing several presents under the tree. The both of them giggled as they went to bed but sometime during the night Minra has a nightmare about the life he had before being sent to Equestria except this time he’s a pony but his parents are still their human selves and mock him and whip him because as they call him, a stupid animal. Fluttershy woke up to Minra crying ans saying I’m sorry.

“Minra, Minra wake up it’s just a nightmare.” Fluttershy said as she shook Minra awake.

“Fluttershy?” Minra said as he hugged her tightly.

“Shh it’s okay I’m here, I’m here now go back to sleep and don’t worry I’ll be here to protect you from those nasty nightmares.” Fluttershy said snuggling up to Minra.

“Thank you, love you.” Minra said as he kissed her forehead.

“I love you to Minra.” Fluttershy responded as the two soon fell back to sleep. The next morning Zephyr, Mr and Mrs. Shy were sitting at the table while Mr. Shy was making waffles.

“Good morning Mom, Dad, Zephyr, what time is it?” Fluttershy asked giving off a small yawn.

“It’s almost nine thirty.” Mrs. Shy said.

Mr. Shy finished making the waffles and severed them, they were chocolate chip waffles with blueberries, syrup and whip cream, they were as fluffy as a cloud. When Mr. Shy was about to ask Minra how the waffles were until he saw his face now having the answer, he simply smiled. The five ponies ate their breakfast then went to the living room where Mr and Mrs. Shy handed out presents. Once the presents were handed out the five ponies ripped the rapping of their presents. Fluttershy opened Minra’s present first and upon seeing the framed picture of all her animal friends she squealed and kissed Minra.

“Open your present to.” Fluttershy said as she pouted.

Minra opened the present to see a hoodie that was gray in coloration, with green sleeves and hood with shooting star on the chest.

“D-do you like it?” Fluttershy asked.

“I love it.” Minra said as he hugged the yellow pegasis.

The five ponies spent the day opening presents and doing stuff such as watching movies, and playing board games. The days soon past by as it was time to go home, when Minra and Fluttershy got in the air balloon, Fluttershy's family waved at the two of them until as they floated away.

“So Minra what did you get for Hearts Warming?” Fluttershy asked.

“Well only the best present ever.” Minra responded.

“L-like what?” Fluttershy asked.

“Getting to spend time with you and your family.” Minra said as he kissed Fluttershy, she blushed.

“W-well what else did you get?” Fluttershy asked.

“Well aside from your hoodie, I got a Daring Do book from Rainbow Dash, a cowboy hat from Applejack, a comic book from Spike, Some markers from Starlight, a plush cupcake from Pinkie Pie, an adjustable mini manikin from Rarity, and a beginners guide to magic from Twilight. What about you?” Minra asked.

“Well I got the lovely photo of all my animal friends that you gave me, a bunny onesie from Pinkie Pie, a book of animals from Twilight, a bird shaped kite from Starlight, a giraffe plush from Spike, a basket for carrying small critters from Rarity, a bird bath from Rainbow Dash, a dog brush from Zephyr, and some scarves from Mom and Dad.” Fluttershy responded. The two ponies chatted and enjoyed the view while they waited to go home.
