"Havoc discusses Bill's fate with the Axolotl over playing cards."

Havoc, spirit of mass hysteria, primal fear, warden and embodiment of Tartarus itself, father of Discord, said, "Hit me."

The Axolotl, the supreme deity of its native universe, tossed him another card.

"So, you finally snagged Billy Boy."

"If you mean Bill Cipher, then yes, I have yet to find a timeline that branches off from this one where he becomes a threat of such a scale again over the course of eternity."

"In other words, yeah, you got'em."

"He got himself. He was still readjusting to physical existence again. He was oblivious to small details. And because he feared death that much, he offered himself up to me for mercy. He tried to argue that the suffering he caused was meaningless because it was only inflicted on mortals."

"Ah. That old spiel. Most gods simply claim 'tick for tack' when they smite a mortal, or ACTUALLY DON'T notice when they step on a planet when jogging with their headphone on, and reactively swats the Revenge-Death-Space-Fleet that comes for blood a few centuries later, or that they're doing their job of added chaos to the universe."

"Odd to hear since your family once tried to destroy mortals."

"Only Ponykind. And that was after their antics nearly destroyed all reality twice and proved they could do it again without even realizing it. The time after that was because little Celly naively gave the Windigos impossible instructions. So whatcha doin' to Billy Boy now?"

"I am doing nothing now. He is within the Theraprism, a place for souls that also chose to offer themselves up to me rather than face consequences for their actions. Now the only way he can leave is if he accepts his actions were his own, and even then will reincarnate as the weakest of creatures even below mortals."

"Sounds like the Supreme Galactic Emperor and the Galactic Emperor Supreme. They destroyed their own galaxies in their war with each other. THey're butlers in Hell now. All they have to do is agree what order to serve the bread and cheese in without it devolving into a bloody fist fight... they're still in Hell after several Big Bangs and Big Burn Outs."

"I suspect Bill will be a prison for many Big Bangs to come as well."

"Don't be so sure. My son, Discord, was petrified in what was supposed to be till the sun burned out, but he broke free anyway. Wild cards like them have ways of cheating fate. And let me tell you she HATES THAT."

"His own enemies have dismissed him as a has-been desperate for attention. And have moved on with their lives. This has broken him more than anything I could have done."

"Heh, you should have seen Morning Star when Trixie snagged the part of him that was the concept of trickery, illusion, deception, yada-yada. And when Flim and Flam tricked him and became the first ascended Draconequi as the twin gods of temptation, eating that part of him... replacing my lost daughter. Rarity absorbed his aspect of perfection. And finally Tirek ripped out of him the concept of evil... leaving Morning Star a meaningless concept."

"What about beauty?"

"Rarity got that... in a matter of speaking. Long story. Still. Sounds like Bill is trapped in a one-sided deal... heh, I love ironic punishments."

"21."

"Dangit. 22."
