My Brave Pony Alternate Adventures

The three of them trekked through the forest together. Dusk and Dawn kept looking around the area, wanting to make sure nothing would try and take their riders. Then, the two headed dragon heard a growling coming from their riders.

They roared at them and saw the two of them holding their stomachs. “We’re okay boys, we just haven’t eaten anything yet.” Celestia replied.

“Yeah, I am rather famished myself.” Celesto added.

Their stomachs growled again and they both groaned. Dusk and Dawn scanned the treetops and saw two apples in the tree. They both flew up to the treetop and grabbed the apples with their mouths. They descended down to their riders and gave them the apples. “Thanks boys.” Their majesties ate the apples. Through it wouldn’t completely fill their stomachs, it would at least keep them from growling.

Dusk and Dawn licked their riders. “Hehehe, thanks boys.” The three of them continued walking until they entered a new land. The sky around the land was dark with black clouds shooting lightning out of them overhead. The forest was similar to New Everfree Forest, but more terrifying. There was black vines on the trees and owls calling out into the dark. “I’m guessing we’re in Nightmare Forest, aren’t we?” Celestia inquired.

“Yes.”

Celestia gulped. Celesto held her hand and looked at her lovingly, “Don’t worry, I won’t let anything happen to you.”

Their majesties and their dragons walked into the forest. Wolves were howling in the dark, and there were no sunlight at all. "This place is really dark. Like nighttime." Celestia commented.

"Well, Lightning did say this placed was ruled by Nightmare Moon. We must be very caution." Grand Ruler warned. The bushes near them began to rustle and Dusk and Dawn perked up. Something was coming. "Get down." Celesto hissed. The trio ducked into a nearby bush and peeked out of it. Passing by were two bat ponies.

They were scouting the area. "Any sign of the alicorns?" one asked.

"Nothing." his comrade answered.

"Well, our Queen wants them in her custody as soon as we find them." His comrade nodded and they went off into the forest. The three of them walked out of the bush when it was clear. “Oh dear, we better get out of this area, quickly.” Celestia said.

“Right come on.” The three of them continued on through the forest. They were halfway through the forest when Dusk and Dawn’s ears picked up some buzzing. "Changelings! Hide!" Celestia hissed. The three of the were about to jump into a nearby bush, but their majesties got blasted by some sticky goop, immobilizing them. Dusk and Dawn roared in concern but more and were about to blast the goop off of them but changelings and bat ponies surrounded them. "Nice work, drones." the bat pony praised.

"Anything for our Queen." The changelings hissed. Dusk and Dawn roared at the changelings and bat ponies while they hissed back. Their majesties didn’t want to see their dragon get hurt by the changelings and the bat ponies. “Dusk, Dawn, get out of here!” Celestia ordered. Dusk and Dawn looked at them, shocked. “We’ll be alright boys, it’s us they want. Please, you have to go!” Celesto said.

The changelings and bat ponies hissed at the Titan Wing. Even though instinct drove them to protect their riders, they knew they couldn’t defend them alone, so them had no choice… but to leave their riders. The changelings and bat ponies watched as the Titan Wing Zippleback flew away. “Hehe, smart dragon.” the changeling leader hissed and he picked their majesties up in their magic. "Now let's take these two fugitives to the Queens." a changeling hissed. Their majesties didn't like how this was going. The changelings walked away with the bat ponies leading them.When they were gone, Dusk and Dawn came back and saw them taking their riders to the castle.

They had to save them so he decided to follow them. He followed them to a large castle which they concluded belonged to Nightmare Moon.

They saw the bat ponies and changelings entering through the front door and silently and quickly flew inside before the closed. They quickly hid in a hallway, using the shadows to hide their large form. They heard the footsteps of the bat ponies and changelings. They rushed to the door of the throne room and peeked through the cracked door.

Inside were their majesties in a cage surrounded by the changelings and bat ponies. They wore anti-magic manacles on their horns and braces on their wings, making it impossible for them to escape. Queen Nightmare Moon sat on her throne and stared at the trapped couple.

Their majesties stayed silent while giving Queen Nightmare Moon very unhappy looks. "Well, well, well, looks like I've found what Chrysalis was looking for. Before I delivery you to her, I have my own plans for you two." she grinned. Their majesties did not like the sound of that and neither did Dusk and Dawn.

Nightmare Moon walked off of her throne, “Bring them.”

Dusk and Dawn quickly hid in the shadows as she, and her followers followed her out of the throne room and down the hall. Dusk and Dawn looked at each other worried. How were they going to rescue their riders? There was no way they could fight the bat ponies and changelings by themselves.

“Well, looks like you both could use some help.” a voice suddenly came. The boys turned sharply around and saw a peach colored human with aquamarine hair with a purple streak. She had peach colored wings and a horn. Dusk and Dawn recognized her as Sapphire. But she looked different. For one, by her side was a Night Fury instead of Light Fury and she had a scar over her left eye. “I’m guessing you're the alternate royals dragon?” she asked.

Dusk and Dawn looked at her surprised. “I’ll take that as a yes.”

“Now how about we go save you riders?” she offered. Dusk and Dawn looked at each other and back at alternate Sapphire. They both nodded and followed the girl and her Night Fury dragon.

They were outside a large room where they saw their majesties tied together, hanging above a tank filled with cragdiles; crocodiles with the hides of rocks.

Their majesties struggled to get free but it was fruitless. “There’s no use in struggling. Prepare to be my pets new lunch. Lower them in!” Nightmare Moon hissed. The bat pony nodded and pulled down the lever, lowering their majesties towards the tank. “Oh, I wish Dusk and Dawn were here.” Celestia whimpered.

“Me too darling, but we did to protect them.” Celesto added.

“But now we’re gonna be cragdile lunch.”

The cragdiles licked their lips, waiting for their presented meal to come to them. Their majesties gulped nervously.

Nightmare Moon and the minions laughed at their majesties fate when suddenly the Night Fury blasted the bat ponies and Nightmare Moon away from the console. “What? What are you doing here, Sapphire Shimmer?!” Nightmare Moon snarled.

“I’m here to rescue this Titan Wing’s riders.” Sapphire replied. “Midnight, Plasma Blast!” The Night Fury blasted the console, and their majesties stopped moving. “Phew.” they sighed in relief.

“Don’t be so sure.” Nightmare said. She blasted the rope, making it begin to burn. Dusk and Dawn gasped as the rope continued to burn. It the rope completely broke, their majesties would fall into the tank!

Sapphire blasted the bat ponies and changelings. “Zippleback, get you rider, NOW!”

Dusk and Dawn roared and flew over to their riders. Changeling hovered in front of them and hissed at them. The rope burn some more and their majesties dropped a few feet. “Dusk! Dawn! HELP!” their majesties cried.

Dusk and Dawn blasted the changelings out of the way just as the rope completely broke. “YAAAHHHHH!” Before they hit the water, Dusk and Dawn grabbed the rope and flew out of the room quickly followed by Sapphire and her dragon. The four of them flew out of the castle and hid in a cave. Changelings and bat ponies passed by the cave but they weren’t spotted.

Once they were gone, they all gave a sigh of relief. “That was close.” Sapphire said.

Dusk and Dawn bit the ropes off of their riders and removed the manacles from their horns. “Thanks boys.” Celestia said. “We’re sorry, we told you to leave us. We were just trying to protect you.” Dawn licked his rider. “But it would seem you protected us too.” Celesto said receiving licks from Dusk.

Dusk and Dawn looked back at alternate Sapphire and her Night Fury. “So, I’m guessing your after the gem in the Dragon Lands, huh?”

“Yes.” Celestia replied.

“Well, good luck. I’ll led you four to the next area. Follow me.” Sapphire mounted her Night Fury and their majesties mounted Dusk and Dawn. They took off into the night sky and followed the rider and the dragon. The night time sky turned red and grim with black skies above. Dusk and Dawn gave roars of concern about the change in environment. “I know boys, this doesn’t look very welcoming either.” Celesto agreed.

Sapphire and their majesties landed just a few yards from a town. “Well, this is as far as I go, ponies.” she said. “Good luck on your quest and be extra careful here. The locals here have been known to be aggressive.” she advised and she and her dragons flew off and headed back towards Nightmare Forest.
