Chapter 24: Visiting Fluttershy
Previous ChapterNext ChapterSunset groaned as she woke she tried to move her hoof only to see a light aquamarine hoof on top of her with another cream one across her, she smiled as she remembered last night’s events “That was fun.”
Cloud entered the room with a smile “Wake up sleepy heads.”
Sunset rolled her eyes as the other two ponies groggily got off her and staggered down the stairs after Cloud attracted by the smell of pancakes. Sunset in the meantime had a quick shower to clean off the mess they had made before joining them.
Cloud smiled as the two other ponies looked at Sunset “I see you haven't been formally introduced Lyra, Bon Bon this is my marefiriend Sunset Shimmer.”
Bon Bon eyes widened in shock “Wait, you have a marefriend” she began to panic this is really bad and…”
Sunset trotted over placing a hoof on her wither “It’s fine Bon Bon, I had a great time I know how Cloud is and I’m perfectly happy with it as long as she allows me to join in.”
Lyra blinked “You mean we can still do this even with two of you together?” Sunset nodded with a smile, they blinked as Lyra pulled the group together “YAY!”
Sunset rolled her eyes “I actually am going to spend some time with Fluttershy today, I want to thank for informing me about the Shining Soiree and that it was a good place for a date.”
Lyra smiled as they sat down to eat their pancakes “So what do you do for a living, Sunset?”
Sunset frowned “I’m a special agent, I’m sure you heard of the Squirrel City Incident because I was one of the survivors of that dreadful incident.”
Bon Bon eyes widened “That must have been horrible, I can’t possibly imagine how bad it was to be there. How do you cope?!”
Sunset shook her head “One step at time, I have vowed to exterminate any group who tries to make Bio-Weapons as well as stop any act of Bio-Terrorism.” Sunset finished up her plate of pancakes “I better go and see Fluttershy, not to mention Rainbow will want more training later as well.”
Cloud nodded with as smile“Fluttershy live in a small cottage on the edge of town, you can’t miss it.” Sunset nodded in thanks as the remaining trio began discussing how Sunset and Cloud met.
Sunset headed out to the edge of Ponyville, she heard birds singing and turned to see Fluttershy talking to some birds. She quietly approached Fluttershy and whispered “Good Morning.”
Fluttershy turned around with a small smile “How did your date go?”
Sunset grinned while staying quiet “It was great, I’m glad that you offered me advice about what would be a good place for a date.”
Fluttershy smiled “Well that’s great, so do you want some tea. I can make some if you’d like?” Sunset nodded with a warm smile. The two mares entered the small cottage, Sunset took a seat on Fluttershy’s couch.
Sunset was relaxing until she felt the air shift slightly, she moved in a swift movement as she caught an angry looking bunny. I glared at her until it saw her eyes, the fire within them burning “Now little rabbit, I don’t know whether Fluttershy puts up with that behaviour or not but I promise you will regret messing with me that I can promise you.”
Fluttershy came out with a smile “I see you have met Angel Bunny, I hope you two are getting along.”
Sunset raised an eyebrow as she dropped the bunny “Have you ever tried to discipline him, he seems to have a knack for disrespect.” Angel Bunny glared at her, only for Sunset to glare back her mane starting to smoulder, her voice deepening “Listen to me, Angel. You need a lesson in respect as it appears you don’t have any for anyone or anything other than yourself and I expect that to change is that clear!”
Angel gulped as he nodded, Sunset frowned “Good, if you are rude to me or any of my friends I will demand you do fifty pushups with a block of wood on your back is that clear?!” Angel nodded rapidly before leaving.
Fluttershy growled “That was uncalled for, he is just a bunny!”
Sunset frowned “Fluttershy, he is like the pony I used to be. I was cruel and callous, believing myself better than all the ponies around me to the point that not even Princess Celestia could get me to listen so she put me in the Police Academy. They drilled discipline and respect into, I’m confident I had my legs broken several times for disobedience.”
Fluttershy gasped “That’s horrible, how could they do that to you/!”
Sunset shrugged “I’m not mad about it, I needed it to become a better pony. I simply gave Angel what he needed and it was far less than what happened to me, I understand you love him but sometimes one needs some tough love or else one will remain stunted in their growth. It’s any important lesson for all of us to learn.”
Fluttershy nodded “I have been rather soft with Angel, I just don’t ever have had the heart to be harsh on him.”
Sunset frowned “Maybe you need to be, because sometimes they won’t ever change because you are too kind to them.”
Fluttershy sighed “Your right, I have ignored his bad behavior for a while now but enough is enough” she then smiled “Thanks Sunset for being honest with me about him.” Sunset nodded as the two enjoyed the rest of their time together while a white bunny shuddered in fear.
Author's Note
I feel they let Angel get away with too much, so from here onwards Fluttershy will be laying down the law.
