Chapters I wonder how long Iv'e been in this world, months, years? I am uncertain, then again I lost interest in keeping track of time long ago. You would think being a creature that possessed unnatural abilities would be cool right? Well if you add the amount of frustration and self hatred along with that, the negative usually outweighs the positive. You may be wondering why, well maybe if i explain it to you, you might understand why.
Well I'm not from this world, I'm actually human, or at least I WAS a human before i came here. As for how I got here, I sadly don't remember any details before i woke up in this world. All I remember is the earlier years of my human life, childhood memories and memories from when I was in the years of being in middle school and high school. Any memories I had after I entered adulthood were lost, at least that's what i think.
Even though I don't remember much I still feel like i'm missing something, like something had been taken from me, a piece of my life. These kind of thoughts haunt my mind constantly and never cease. When I woke up in Equestria I noticed how I didn't look like I was in the memories i remember. My body looked as though it was made of pure shadow, but i had a physical body, I also had slim glowing red eyes, and my body structure was bipedal.
Strange right? Well I wish the locals of this world would view my appearance as just strange, they are utterly terrified of me. Even though I mean no harm to them they still either run away or faint, so it doesn't really give off a good feeling, but hey to be honest can you really blame them? Oh i forgot to mention, there ponies, that's right, this world's most intelligent form of life are multicolored ponies.
Over time I noticed this world had three different types of ponies, there were ones with wings, ones with a single horn on top of their heads, and ones that didn't have either a horn or wings. To bad their reactions were all the same when they saw me, oh well what can I do? So as you can see with the mixture of being feared and hated and losing a great chunk of your memories tend to lead to a negative output.
Anyway like I said i'm currently living in a cave deep within a forest, and conveniently not many of the ponies venture in this forest. Apparently most of the ponies are scared of this particular forest, not all of them however, I have ran into a fair share of ponies who thought they were brave enough to go wandering around these woods. That changed when they got a glimpse of me, I never seen any other creature run away out of fear so quickly. It was funny at first, but after awhile it got old, then annoying, and finally to depressing.
Other than me scaring the living crap out of the occasional visitor of the forest i called my home, things are quiet most of the time. Of course there's the occasional local forest monster that tries to pick a fight with me, but I tend to either get it to back off of or slip away unnoticed. For some reason, I prefer to use stealth most of the time, don't really know why though.
Anyway that's what its been like since I arrived in Equestria, and even though things are not looking good for me, something tells me things could be a lot worse than what they currently are. At least that's what I keep telling myself to make it seem like not all hope is lost.
As I sat in the cave deep within the forest I call my home i began to feel very tired, the weird thing is i don't feel hunger or thirst, yet i become tired when i haven't slept in awhile. I didn't know if it was night time or day time, I couldn't really tell since I was deep inside my cave, I didn't really care though, so I got comfortable and slowly, yet surely drifted off into slumber.
Echoes of voices and sounds flowed through my mind, but I couldn't see anything but darkness. It was clear that a dream was forming, although my dreams just consisted of sounds and i just figured this was just another one of my ordinary dreams. Just as this thought crossed my mind, the unthinkable happened, for the first time, my dreams were beginning to form images. I could hardly believe it since this was the first time i could actually see anything going on in my dream.
What i saw didn't make any sense, I could see myself in a green meadow at night. Another thing that was odd was i felt like i was actually there, this was different from my previous dreams because those dreams were more hazy. This dream however was as clear as day, or night in my case. After taking in my new surroundings i got up and decided to explore a bit.
After a short while of walking through the endless moonlight meadow something caught my eye, there was a book lying in the grass a few feet away from where i was standing. I walked over to it and picked it up, it had a leather cover with a symbol of a golden horse's head on the front, nothing on the back. At first i thought it was just a book, that is until i started hearing voices that seemed to be coming from somewhere, then i realized they were coming from...the book. I couldn't make out what the voices were saying, but something told me to open it, so I did.
What happened next caught me by surprise, when I opened it the pages were emitting a bright light, and i could feel a strong gravity that seemed to be trying to pull me into the book. I tried to resist the strong force but to no avail, and just like that I was pulled into a pool of light. As the light begun to die down my eyes started to adjust to where I was. I was no longer in the meadow, instead I was in, what looked to be some kind of throne room. Taking in my new surroundings again I was definitely in some sort of castle.
"Not...another...step!" A feminine voice called out.
The voice caught me completely by surprise causing me to flinch a little, I looked around the throne room for the source of the voice. When I looked in the direction of the thrones a dark blue pony emerged from behind one of the thrones. This pony was different from the others I saw, this one was taller and had both wings AND a horn, not only that her mane and tail seemed to be flowing with energy.
"Did you expect me to just sit idly by while they all basked in your precious light!" She spoke again.
I was really confused, precious light...what did that mean? It was clear she was not happy about something, but what? Who was she? What did she want from me? My thoughts were interrupted as the pony spoke again.
"There can only be one princess in Equestria, and that princes...will be me!!!" She exclaimed angrily as she stomped her front hooves into the ground with force causing the ground to crack.
This caused me to stumble backwards and fall, i was taken back on how much strength she possessed it was really impressive. As I slowly regained my composure, she begun to float upwards and raise her for legs as lightning emitted from several directions. A sphere of dark energy started to surround her causing me to stumble back yet again, as the sphere grew more intense it erupted into a burst of energy causing the mare to transform into a more intimidating form.
She begun to laugh wickedly as she shot beams from her horn causing the some of the ceiling to fall down. I begun to move frantically to avoid being squashed by the debris, I fell as i was dodging the chunks falling off the ceiling. Just then i heard the sound of hoof steps approaching, i looked up and saw another pony, this one had a white coat and a colorful flowing mane, somewhat identical to the other one yet different.
"Luna you must stop this!" She exclaimed.
"Luna...no...i am nightmare moon!" The dark mare said in response.
I took this opportunity to get out of the way getting up and moving out of the way, just as i did this the dark pony fired a concentrated beam of dark energy towards white furred mare, who countered it with a brighter identical beam. However the dark pony seemed to overpower her opponent easily. As the white furred mare was knocked back from the force of the dark ponies beam, she stood back up.
"Luna, i am sorry but you have left me with no choice" She said
After she said this her horn glowed and a part of the floor of the throne room opened up and some kind of contraption emerged from the floor that held six different colored gems. She then flew near the top of the contraption and used her magic to levitate the six gems around her, which caused her to be enveloped in a white glow.
The dark mare shot her magic towards the bright glowing sphere, a rainbow colored beam emerged from the sphere of light and overpowered the dark beam easily.
"Nooooo!"she exclaimed as the rainbow beam overpowered her. enveloping everything in a bright light.
As the i was being blinded by the white light, I swear i could hear voices chanting the words...Elements of Harmony. After hearing the words a few more times, everything started to fade and i awoke from my dream. I sat up breathing heavily, looking around to find out i was back in my cave...in the real world. As I calmed down a bit, I focused on what the voices told me just before I woke up, then...I spoke for the first time in what felt like an eternity.
"Elements of harmony..."

Sorry for the bad writing, not a very skilled writer, but i had an idea and i tried to make it into a story, i guess its more like the ramblings of a madman 👻💀
It's been a few days since I had that strange dream and I am still confused as I was when I first woke up from it. Thousands of questions plague my mind as I try to find an understanding to what I had witnessed a few days ago, and I'm not getting any closer to finding an answer. At first I thought I would find an answer by simply thinking of a solution, but soon after It became clear I won't find an answer by just sitting around and making my brain fry from trying to think of a solution...no I need to venture beyond the forest for answers. I sat up from where I was sitting inside my cave and walked out into the forest and started to make my way towards its edge.
By the time I reached the edge of the forest the sun had set and the moon was now overhead. Passing a few more trees I was met with the sight of small hills and mountains off into the distance, a sight I haven't seen in a very long time. It was actually kinda nice to be in a different environment after so long.
After a few moments of taking in the scenery, I started to decide where I should start my search. I remembered a village I had come across my first few weeks being in Equestira, I used to observe the village from time to time and actually managed to get pretty close. Now of course you may be wondering how I got so close without being seen, well I actually have the ability to become invisible, at first I had to really focus to use this ability, but over time I've been able to use it to the point where I barely have to focus at all. Of course there were a few times where I would slip up and would become visible again and some ponies caught a glimpse of me.
I wonder how many of these ponies knew about my existence, I mean sure I've been seen by only about a handful of ponies...but they could have told their friends that they ran into some unknown terrifying monster or demon, and before you know it...rumors start to spread like wildfire. I tried to not let it bother me too much, after all if a large group does manage to spot me, I could just make myself invisible and lose them quickly.
I continued to make my way across the grassy plains, after a short while I came across a narrow path, I remember this, It lead straight to the village. To be honest I don't know how much time has passed since I've been there, but it's felt like a very long time. Anyway enough thinking about the past, time to get there and seek answers. When the town was in my sights I focused a bit and made my body as transparent as I could and proceeded into the village. The streets weren't that busy which was perfect for me, just the local shopkeepers and a few of the towns residence browsing their goods.
Now then, I was looking for information, so my best bet would be to find some sort of library, only problem was I couldn't remember if there was even a library here, and I couldn't just ask one of the locals where to find it. While trying my best to resist slapping myself in the face for not thinking of this earlier, I picked up on a conversation that was going on not too far away. Curious I listened more intently and looked around for the source of the voices, shortly after, I saw two ponies waving at who I could only guess was one of their friends.
She was a lavender unicorn with dark purple mane and tail with a single streak of pink running along both her tail and her mane. Even though most of these ponies are colorful, this one seemed to stand out from the rest, not just her exotic coloring but something else made her stand out as well, just couldn't tell what. At first I couldn't understand what they were talking about, but when the lavender one spoke, she said something that got my attention.
"Sorry girls, I gotta get back to the library, got lots of work and studying to catch up on." She said before trotting off.
I perked up a bit upon hearing what she said, this is perfect, she could lead me right to the library. Silently following the lavender mare, and keeping a bit of distance, she eventually came to what looked like a giant tree-like house, okay how in the hell could I have missed that? The lavender unicorn entered and I caught a glimpse of the inside, shelves with books, just what I was looking for. I quickly made my way to one of the windows that viewed into the entrance, when I looked through the window, the lavender mare was talking to some other creature I never seen before, it was small, purple and had scales, it seemed to be reptilian and possibly a juvenile. The mare had a look of distress in her eyes as she talked to the little purple creature, I wonder what she was worried about?
Well in any case, I would have to wait for night time when their asleep so I can sneak in there and find the information I need. I noticed a small balcony where a large telescope was perched, I climbed up the massive tree and got a closer look at the balcony, there was a door that seem to lead inside. Perfect, when night comes I can use that to get inside...if its unlocked. I rested on a large branch not too far away from the platform made myself visible again since there was a lot of leaves from the tree to cover me from anyone spotting me, and waited for night to arrive.
When night finally arrived I waited for a couple more hours so I was sure they were asleep and climbed down the branch and landed on the platform as quietly as I could. I carefully made my way to the door on the balcony, I grabbed the handle, and gently pulled on the door...to my surprise it was unlocked. The door lead to a small spiral wooden staircase, I crept my way inside and reached the bottom of the stairs, they seem to have led me into a large bedroom. I could hear faint snoring coming from the other end of the room, I looked and saw a bed where I saw the lavender unicorn sleeping and on the floor near the foot of the bed I saw that little purple lizard that was sleeping in what looked like a dog bed.
From the sound of them snoring I guess they were deep in sleep, which was good for me. I found another door that led into a small hallway and then to another set of larger stairs descending to the lower level where the library was. I examined the huge assembly of books, this place had a lot more books than I originally thought. Luckily the books shelves were in alphabetical order, so all I have to look for is the "E" section. When I located the right shelf I scanned the rows of books that were labeled E, but to my dismay I found no books on the elements of harmony. I did however notice one book that seemed out of place, I read the title on the books spine, it read, "Monsters and mythical beasts of equestria." Letting my curiosity getting the better of me I pulled out the book and opened it.
I flipped through the pages and found some of the content interesting, I had seen many creatures in the forest I used to live in, but there were other creatures I didn't even know about. As I continued to flip through the pages I eventually reached the last few pages...on the very last page of the book...I saw something that made me uneasy...there was a picture of....me, I noticed some text beneath the picture that read: Species unknown, origin unknown, gender unknown (presumably male)
this creature has been spotted only an handful of times, it is presumed to be deadly and dangerous, if spotted, contact the royal guard immediately. It is advised that you keep a considerable amount of distance, as this creature could be territorial and may attack on sight.
I closed the book and just stood there, not moving a muscle, feeling lightheaded, I never thought I could feel so much dread and sorrow in one setting. As I continued to stand there like a statue, I lost my grip on the book in my hand, causing it to fall on the wooden floor with a muffled thud. Apparently I wasn't paying attention as much as I should have been, because about twenty seconds after I dropped the book, I heard a loud gasp. I turned and looked towards the stairs and saw the little purple lizard, staring at me in shock and fear.
"Ahhhhh! Twilight!!" He exclaimed, as he ran up the stairs shortly after.
Shit....
I could feel adrenaline rush through my dark form. I was staring at the stairs from where the little purple lizard had seen me, and heard the commotion of him trying to wake the lavender unicorn. A bout half a minute later, my paralyzed state was finally broken as I turned around and ran out the front door while making myself invisible once again. How many times have I been spotted now? I don't know...but at this point I didn't care. My stupid decisions is what caused this, my own fault....and what the book said about me....I guess they were right about me, on how I was nothing but an animal, waiting to be captured and studied like a damn guinea pig.
I continued to run as fast I could, towards the forest I once lived in, but then I thought of the numerous number of times these ponies had seen me, they were all inside that forest, I had to find somewhere else where I could safely collect my thoughts on what I should do next, but where could I go? Those woods were the only place I knew of where those damn ponies couldn't find me so easily. Well my best bet for now would be to go back there for now and collect my thoughts.
I continued to run back towards where the only safe place I knew, but something wasn't right, I could feel this...pressure building up inside my head. Maybe I thought I was just getting a migraine from the possible stress of the situation, but as the pain continued to endure, I could feel myself getting weaker and becoming more and more tired. It got to the point to where I had stopped running and was now on the ground, holding my head in pain. I started to black out, but as I was beginning to lose consciousness, I could hear the familiar echo of a soft voice saying the familiar words: Elements of harmony, and with that everything faded to black.
I awoke with some pain still inside my head, but not nearly as much as before I passed out. When I opened my eyes I noticed how I wasn't in the same spot I was previously in, but instead I was back at the library and trapped inside some kind of see through purple orb. Well I think I broke a record...my biggest screw up yet. Shortly after waking up, I heard two very familiar voices talking back and forth, It was the unicorn and the lizard. As their voices drew closer to the room I found myself in, I could faintly hear what they were saying.
"This is a really bad idea Twilight, what if that thing manages to escape?" The voice of the purple lizard questioned.
"Don't be silly spike, it's inside a sturdy containment spell, I doubt it could escape that easily." The voice of the unicorn responded.
"What are you gonna do with it? Were supposed to be checking on the preparations for the summer sun celebration tomorrow morning." The lizard said.
"I don't know spike, hopefully princess Celestia will know what to do, did you send that letter I told you to write to her?" The mare continued.
"Yeah." The lizard said.
As the door to the room opened, their conversation ceased. The unicorn was staring at me with a hint of curiosity and caution, while the purple lizard seemed to be hiding behind the mare with obvious fear. I stared back at them, waiting for one of them to speak. I'll admit, I wasn't sure what to make of this, I expected to wake up in some kind of cell in a dark and gloomy dungeon. Normally all the ponies I've seen would run away in terror, but this one...she stuck me as the curious type, but I'm not sure if that's a good thing for me.
The mare walked closer towards me, as if she were studying me. I'll admit I was unnerved at this, I didn't know what she was gonna do to me, sure these ponies looked all innocent and what not, but I learned really quickly from living in this world that looks can deceive. For all I know she would try to dissect me or something...though I believe she would have a difficult time doing that, seeing is how my form made little sense. She started to walk in circles around the orb I was trapped in, I followed her movement as best I could, considering I didn't have a lot of space to move in this damn orb she conjured up. She circled me a few times before walking back to the little lizard whispering something to him. I wanted to leave...I just wanted to get away, I wanted to find out what the dream I had meant. I looked down in defeat, as I mumbled something under my breath, but apparently the unicorn heard me.
Her ears perked up as she said in a surprised tone. "Sweet Celestia...did it just talk?!"
This made me flinch inwardly, either she has really good hearing or I'm a lot louder than I thought. Either way she knew I could speak now, I guess she's gonna start asking me questions...I guess I might as well comply...after all running and trying to escape makes me look like a wild savage animal anyway, no sense in making my situation worse.
"D-did you just talk?" She said walking closer to me.
"Yes..." I responded, my deep, dark tone causing her to flinch a little.
She didn't say anything after awhile, she just stood there, obviously amazed at the fact that I could talk. She then proceeded to ask me more questions with excitement, questions like what I was and where I'm from, to which I wasn't very helpful answering because I didn't have the answers either. The last question she asked me surprised me.
"What is your name?" She asked, eagerly awaiting my answer.
"Crimson." I answered, causing her ears to fold back. It was clear she was....unnerved.
