Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

That's right, it's that time of year again. Hearth's Warming Eve. The nights are getting longer, it's getting colder out, and everypony's just spending the day indoors next to nice warm fires. Oh, and let's not forget all those lovely presents that'll come our way soon. Yeah, yeah, I know. I said I was gonna hold off on presents after that greed transformation incident, but how can you blame me? I mean, I'm looking at all this colourful boxes with their ribbons and, gah, I can't help myself, I wanna see what's inside. But, luckily, Twilight's here too, and she knows not to let me get too far this time.

The only downside this year is that not all of our friends are gonna be in one place. Pinkie is taking Applejack and her family over to meet her family on their rock farm. I've never met Pinkie's family outside of Maud that one time, so I'm not sure what they're like. But hey, it'll be distant relatives all getting together for a special day, so who knows? Maybe they'll have a really fun time together.

Oh, and speaking of fun, I'd better get back to the kitchen. I'm making an awesome pudding for me and Twilight tonight and I really should keep an eye on it.
