Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

Apparently even births are capable of causing near-apocalyptic catastrophes in our world, as our family has now seen the arrival of Twilight's niece, Flurry Heart. Now, that little foal is an absolute sweetheart, I want to make that absolutely clear. But boy, did she cause a fair bit of trouble recently! She shattered the Crystal Heart, nearly caused the destruction of the Empire, and everypony nearly got overcome with snow and ice. Needless to say, it was a hectic day. But, thankfully, everything was able to be sorted out, and hey, we managed to get a handle on her powerful magic too. Cadance and Shining have their hooves full with a filly like her, but I'm confident they're up to it.

Oh, and I mustn't forget Starlight in all this. Seems her old friend, the one who indirectly caused her to be evil in the first place, is also living in the Empire. His mane's Sunburst and he's kind of a dork if I'm being honest. He's nice enough, but he's a bit oblivious at times. Hehe, how much do you want to bet he and Twilight would get along great? In any case, he and Starlight managed to patch up their old friendship, and everypony's happy. We're all on the train ride back now, so hopefully nothing else will come along in the meantime.

One last thing though. I thought I spotted something flying towards the Empire as we left, but I think I might have just been seeing things.
