Dear Diary,

Today, I watched as Applejack and Fluttershy went off to the city of Las Pegasus to try and solve a new friendship problem from the Cutie Map. As always, I hope they do well with whatever it is they need to do there. I have to say, I know next to nothing about that city, so after they left I did a bit of research. Hehe, listen to me. "Research". Twilight would be so proud. Anyway, I looked the place up, and it seems like it's a lot of gambling involved, or at least that's what the book likes to talk about more than anything else. I've never gambled anything myself, and Twilight's always told me it's something I need to avoid. Must be an adult thing.

But I never really understood the appeal of it at all to be honest. I mean, putting your hard-earned bits at risk because you might get some more on pure luck and chance? That just sounds silly to me, not to mention risky. But hey, seems a lot of grown-ups do it, so maybe they just enjoy it? Or maybe it's like cookies. You know, try it once and then you can never not have one again afterwards? Can you tell I wrote this when I was hungry? Because I wrote this when I was hungry.

Anyway, I can always just ask when Applejack and Fluttershy come back.
