Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

Sunburst is a pretty decent guy, but boy, can he get oblivious sometimes. Starlight was really excited about having him over for a visit, and at first things were going pretty well for them. But as time went on the guy started hanging out more and more with all these other mares. Maud, Trixie, even Twilight! Starlight felt really down about it, and I can't say I blame her. I mean if Peewee came over and spent most of his visit hanging with Owlowiscious or Angel or Tank, I'd be fleeing left out too. But, not being the kind of mare to back down, Starlight tried everything she could think of to try and spend more time with him. Her heart was in the right place I'm sure, but, wow, some of those plans did not work out for her.

In the end though, they came to an understanding about the whole thing. Sure, they might not have as much in common as they first thought, but that's not what matters. What does matter is that they simply enjoy doing it with each other. And hey, if nothing else, at least this visit meant that Sunburst now has a whole bunch of other friends he can look forward to visiting from time to time, and that's always nice, right?

But seriously, somepony needs to teach that guy how to tell when his best friend isn't at her happiest. Or at the very least maybe just give his glasses a clean?
