Spike's Diary

Dear Diary,

You know, it's weird how you can see someone for a long time as being one thing, and then suddenly see them in a whole new light. Like, you spend your whole life thinking of them in maybe a bad way, and then boom, suddenly it's not the case anymore. I know I sound kinda philosophical there, but trust me, I've got a good reason for it. Fluttershy came over for tea today, and she told us the most amazing story about what she and Rainbow had been getting up to. I won't spoil things, but let's just say it was quite an adventure for them. And it ended in a way that, well, nocreature ever saw coming. Just goes to show you, doesn't it? That sometimes life can still have surprises for you, even when you think you've got it all figured out.

It actually kinda reminds me of my relationship with Garble. Every time I met up with that guy, it was nothing but bad and badder, to the point where I was just dreading ever having to see him again. Then that business with Smolder happened and I suddenly saw him as something totally different. All my past bad feeling, just gone, like it was never there. It was the weirdest feeling, and I wonder if Fluttershy and Rainbow are feeling the same thing right now?

Either way, it's something to think about. Pretty hopeful though, that people can be better than we think, isn't it?
