Dear Diary,

Barely has AJ come back to Ponyville when trouble rears its ugly head again for her and her family. These two slimy unicorns, Flim and Flam, they just rolled into town with this big fancy machine to convince ponies that they can make better cider and faster than Applejack's family. And yeah, it looked like it could actually do that for a while, so AJ basically had a problem where all these ponies, her own neighbours, were actually considering getting cider from somepony else. It was really bad for them. There was even this big contest between them to see who would win, and it looked like those two con-artists might actually do it.

Thankfully, that wasn't the case. Turns out their fancy machine wasn't as perfect as they thought it was, and their cider wound up disgusting to their new customers. Applejack and her family won, and Flim and Flam left Ponyville with their tails between their legs. I'm glad the Apples had a win like this. After the trouble with the rodeo, they deserved to have some success in their lives. And hey, we all got some really good cider out of it at the end. Well, all except me, since Twilight says I'm not old enough yet.

But hey, maybe next year.
