Dear Diary,

Did you know that Applejack and Pinkie Pie are related? Well, actually, that may or may not be the case. You see, Pinkie found this old document that basically made her think that the two of them had some distant ancestor or something, so they and the rest of the Apples went off to try and find somepony who would help them find out if it was true or not. They're out there right now, and it's been a while since we saw them leave. Not sure if they'll find what they're looking for, but I wish them all the best of luck all the same.

It's kinda weird to think about really, that two people who've known one another for so long might have had this unseen connection and just never known about it. How many other family branches connect without our knowledge around here? Is Fluttershy related to Rainbow somehow? Does Twilight share some great-great-great Grandma with Rarity? Who knows? But it's kind of exciting to think about.

Huh. Wonder if I'm related to that big dragon that nearly covered Ponyville in smoke a while back? Ugh, now there's a connection I don't wanna think about!
