Noir spider

Darkness
Depression
Fear
And emotionless.

I come to fully understand these words at a very young age. An age where one should have their innocence. Though I never got to have my innocence.

The moon light shined down on me like a spot light. I wore a black trench coat made of leather, a black shirt, blue jeans, finger less gloves, and my sneakers. I clung to the slide of a building about two hundred feet in the air. No one noticed me. I grinned.

I reached into my pocket and pulled out a bikers mask. It was wind proof, and had a special spot in the center of the mask that allowed me to breath.

Stitched to the mask was a pair of goggles that had a white visor. I put it over my face. My coat wasn't buttoned up and I reached into an inner pocket and pulled out a Fedora. It was folded to fit in the large inner pocket. I unfolded it and put it on over my masked head.

It stuck to my head like it was stuck and I glanced around at the ground. People were walking around and minding their own business. Cars of all shapes and sizes past by. I took a deep breath and I pushed myself off the building.

As I went forward I did a single back flip. On the ground, I could hear people shouting about me falling from the sky. Once again I grinned and I dived down further and further. I stuck my left arm to the left and spun a web. It hit a nearby crane and I was pulled into a swing.

I let go of the web and spun another one. People gasped loudly and pulled out their phones. I spun another web. This time from my right wrist, and went into another series of swings and flips. I felt alive.

All of that came to a halt when I heard a scream. I extended my left arm and yanked the web I spun. The result was me zipping across the street faster than I could swing.

I clung to the side of the wall. My eyes widened at the sight. Applejack. She was being surrounded by a group of men. They all had black coats, and had mettle pipes and they did not look keen on going easy on her.

"alright lady let's make this easy on everyone.". One of the thugs said.
"give us your money, and we won't be to ruff with us.". He finished. Applejack herself looked like she was about to piss herself. She sounded so confident, and strong when I met her. "ah said go away!". Applejack yelled. One of the thugs walked up to her and back handed her to the ground.

I couldn't take it anymore and I dropped from the side of the wall. I landed in front of applejack in a crouched position. I heard her gasp in surprise. The thugs were shocked to. They shook out of it and the leader had a smug grin on his face.

"who are you supposed to be?". He asked. Underneath my mask I had a scowl but I decided to answer.

"none of your business .". I simply said.

They all started laughing at me.
"really?! Are you some batman knockoff or some stupid shit?!". The leader yelled after his laughter died.

I crossed my arms in an x position and I unsheathed my claws. The thugs all stopped laughing, and instead started to sweat. My claws were made of a hardened liquid version of steel, and were at least two inches long.

One of the thugs charged at me. It was the leader. He attempted to strike me but I jumped high into the air and landed a short distance away from him. I spun a web and it hit him in the back. I pulled him to me and when I had him in my right arm I punched him twice in the face with my left fist. I then threw him on the ground and shot an enormous amount of webbing to bind him.

I turned around to see that the other thugs looked scared shitless.
"the big man will have your head freak!". One of the remaining men said. Another man tried to take me down. He swung his pipe at me only for me to catch it in midair. I then spun around with a force that took the pipe, and I turned around to hit the man hard in the face. The last two turned to run away but I webbed one of them and brought them to me.

"then take a message to your 'big man'. Expect your thugs to be hospitalized... Or dead!". I put venom into that last word. I brought back a fist and knocked the man unconscious.

I turned around to see applejack giving me a curious glance. I approached her. She slowly started to back away. "are you alright ma'am?". I asked. She tensed up a little. Then she relaxed knowing that I protected her.

"um... Yeah... Thanks partner.". She was uneasy. Probably afraid of what I might do to her. "why did those men attack you?". I asked. She looked away for a moment.

"I was hanging out with ma friends when it started getting late. Ah was walking towards where I parked ma car, and those guys came up to me. Ya know the rest.". She said shamefully.

"there's shame in your voice. They did something didn't they?". I asked getting angry. "no! I... They wanted to do things to me because they found me... Attractive...". She whispered that last word with a hint of venom.

She was one of the only woman I ever saw who didn't want to be looked at for her looks. Under my mask I smiled. I put my hand on her shoulder after I retracted my claws.

"there's nothing wrong with you. Anyone who only looks at your body is blind.". I tried to reassure her. It worked. "thanks partner.". She said. I turned to take my leave.
"wait!". I heard applejack yell.

I turned around to face her. She was walking towards me with a raised eyebrow. "who are ya?". She asked. I turned around to leave again.

"noir.". I said.

"thank you noir. Fer savin me.". She said. I extended my arms and shot some webbing. I pulled on the two strands and allowed myself to fly upwards and into the night.
