SoarinDash Shorts : Family

(Soarin POV)

A few days later, Dash and I were released to go home with the twins, and we were still a bit unsafe with all of that, of course it was a big change in our lives, now we were the parents of two. But as always we were determined to go through any challenge, mainly because we had each other.

"Congratulations again, Mr. and Mrs. Dash, good luck in the lives of parents!" A doctor said at the hospital door as we went out with the twins in our helmets.

"Thank you" I said.

"Oh my gosh, I can finally fly again! You have no idea how difficult it was to be without flying for 9 whole months" Dash said as she held up Shooting Star. I was holding Ragtag and walking right next to her.

"Whoa, come on, Dash. You just had two babies, do not you think you should wait a little longer before you go back to your old routine?" I said looking at Dash.

She rolled her eyes and looked back at me.

"Oh come on, I've waited too long to be able to fly again, you know that! I'll be fine" she said.

"Yes Dashie I know, but I love you Dashie, and I could not bear to see something happening to you, you know I just want to keep you safe" I said as I leaned down and stroked Dash's cheek with his face.

"Soarin, I love you too, but please do not be so protective of me okay? Alias, I'm the hardest mare you've ever met, is it?" She said as she leaned over and kissed me on the cheek.

"Yes"

The twins then started laughing for some reason, then Dash leaned over and kissed the two babies on the forehead.

"Let's go home"

"Well, home sweet home" I said as Dash and I walked in with the babies.

"They must be hungry, Soarin you stay with them while I prepare their bottle" Rainbow said as she handed me Shooting Star, and I kept the two babies in their hooves.

"Okay sweetie" I said.

With that Dash began to walk towards the kitchen leaving me alone with the twins.

I had no idea what to do at the time, it was all too new for me and both for Dash, we had two babies biologically together, and that was indeed a big responsibility.

After a few minutes Dash returned with two bottles in her hoofs, after which she laid the twins on the couch and gave them the bottle.

"Wow they really were hungry" I said watching my daughters eat.

After a while the twins stopped sucking on their bottles, then Dash took them in their hooves and patted them lightly several times, which in turn gave them a slight burp.

"Ready, girls?" Dash asked looking at the twins, after a few minutes they began to cry.

"What happened?"

"I do not know, shhhhh calm girls, mommy and daddy are here shhhh" Dash said as she tried to calm the twins

"Maybe they have to change their diapers?" I suggested

"I'll take a look" Dash isse as she leaned over and took a look at the nipples of the twins.

"They really need a diaper change" she said.

"Okay, I'll change them" I said as I took the twins in my hooves and carried them into the bedroom to change them.

After a while I came back with the twins in my hooves.

"Ready, much better now" I said.

Dash nodded as she took Ragtag in her hoofs and began to swing her. I decided to follow the same example, so I got Shooting Star and started to swing it too.

Knock on the door

"Hello everypony! How are my new favorite parents?" Spitfire said as she walked into the house and approached me and Dash.

"Hi Spitty, how's it going?" I said

"Well, I just decided to stop by just to see the babies. Everybody at headquarters just talks about seeing them" she said.

"Maybe Soarin and I will not take them there to pay a visit?" Dash said

"That sounds great" Spitfire said.
