Sunset slowly woke up to the sound of people talking outside her room. Looking to her right, she saw Twilight outside talking to Doctor Disco and her mother. The Doctor soon noticed and excused himself as he walked into her room. “Mrs. Shimmer, I pray you are well rested, yes?” he asked to which she gave a slight nod staring at him, allowing him to continue, “That's good. We will be taking you to begin surgery soon. But first Mrs. Sparkle’s parents are here for some paperwork for you to sign.” Sunset looked at Twilight and her mother, as well as a man walk up behind them, guessing that was Twilight’s father, then weakly tried to raise her arm, only for it to give out, still barely having any strength. “Or, I guess they will be signing for you with your agreement?” he suggested.

Thinking it over, that sounded like it would be the smarter plan, so Sunset nodded to him, to which he then motioned for the family to enter. Twilight ran inside and hugged Sunset as tightly as she could without hurting the broken girl even more. Sunset gave a light chuckle signified by her body slightly shaking before watching her parents enter, The Doctor stepping outside to give them privacy. “Sunset...” The woman asked sitting next to the girl, “My name is Twilight Velvet, and this my husband, Nightlight. We spoke on the phone last night, remember?” Sunset did a quick recap in her head to confirm this and nodded her head.

“Were aware that your an orphan and want to do our part to help you out as well.” She said pulling some paperwork out of her purse and handing them over to her daughter to fill them out for the girl. “Sunset... while were going to have to take some time to get to know you, were willing to adopt you into our family and make you our daughter. Would you be ok with that?” She asked carefully as Sunset closed her eyes crying tears of joy at the idea of being in a family at again. Twilight Velvet saw and reached out to the girl’s hand to hold it, Sunset gripping it as tight as she could as she gave a soft smile under her oxygen mask to her.

Twilight smiled and looked down at the paper work. “We should probably fill this out before you go under for your part of the operation, huh?” She asked her soon to be sister. Sunset nodded and turned to her as she began reading out the paper’s to her. As they did that, her parents got up and went back outside to speak to The Doctor. “So, how long do you think this will take?” Nightlight asked sipping a coffee he brought to the Hospital.

The Doctor looked at his patient and sighed, replying, “This could take a few days at best. This is completely experimental, so we need to be careful of what we do. We have to remove Mrs. Shimmer’s left side’s limbs before we start the actual process. That will take at least a day, so I highly recommend you have your daughter burn any energy she has in her today out so she can be ready to go under tonight. We will then have to open them both up so we can rebuild both of their skeletons to be able to be put together. Then comes the tricky part, removing the organs in Mrs. Shimmer that don't work, and what barely works to sew to your daughter’s so the can at least stay alive while we close them up. This will be a long process and you can expect alot of coffee and soda will be drank to keep us going for this.”

Velvet looked at her daughter after hearing what was told she would be going through and sighed. “Well, at least Winter Break starts on Monday, so we wont have to worry about no Doctor’s notes while this is happening. What about the recovery?” She asked guessing this part could take much longer. The Doctor took off his sunglasses and cleaned the lenses before putting them back on and faced the couple. “That I can not be certain. They will have to learn to work together on everything. This could take from a few weeks to a few months if were lucky.” He said before turning back to the girls in the room as Twilight finished the paper work and hugged her soon to be sister before heading outside to let Sunset rest. Her parents informed her of everything to which Twilight put on a brave face and looked at the girl about to pass out.

“I don't care what it takes... but we need to help her... I know I'm giving up half of my body to help her... but I have a feeling if our roles were reversed, she would help me out as well...” Twilight said putting her hand on the glass. Sunset saw and gave a weak smile as she laid her head back. “Oh! Maybe we should head home and get things prepped for her before I return tonight? and maybe move her belongings over as well so she can be at home in my room?” Twilight suggested. Her parents turned to each other and gave a nod of agreement, to which Twilight pulled out her phone and hit the GPS app on it before heading back into the room. “She’s a brave girl Mr. and Mrs. Sparkle. If anyone could help make this a success, She can.” The Doctor said before turning around and heading to his office to get ready for the first half of the surgery.

The Sparkles pulled up the driveway to Sunset’s two story Studio Apartment and admired the small place the girl was able to afford. “Well, at least she wasn't homeless.” Nightlight said as they walked to the front door only for Twilight to walk up to a rock beside the door and lifted it to find a key there. “Just like she said.” Twilight said as she unlocked the door and headed inside. Looking around, Twilight gave a slight smile to the small cozy setup the girl had. “Oh I think me and Sunset are gonna get along just fine.” She said as she walked up to the computer area under the bed-loft and got to work unhooking all the cords from there as her parents went to the living room area and got to work on moving the furniture outside.

Rainbow Dash had been walking aimlessly since they watched Shining Armor drive by last night. “Its not fucking fair... We didn't even get to try to apologize...” she said not paying much attention to where she was going. Eventually she looked up from the snow covered ground to see her feet had brought her to Sunset’s apartment. “Of course Id wind up back here...” she muttered before sitting down on a bench across the street from it. “We really fucked up this time... No amount of rainbow lasers will fix this...” She said putting her face into the palms of her hands crying.

She wasn't aware of how much time had passed by, but eventually she heard the sound of a car pulling up to Sunset’s apartment. Looking up, she gasped as she saw Twilight Sparkle climb out of the car followed by two adults. Watching, she saw the princess grab Sunset’s spare key and open the apartment up and then all of them headed inside. Thinking quick, Rainbow Dash pulled out her phone and snapped a few pictures, one of them showing Twilight Sparkle walking to the car with Sunset’s computer monitors and the adults carrying some of her furniture. “This just got interesting...” she said as she sent it in a group message to her friends saying, ‘Guess who just showed up at Sunset’s place?’ before sliding her phone into her pocket and ran across the street just as Twilight put the monitors in the back seat.

“HEY! WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING WITH SUNSET’S STUFF?” She yelled scaring the girl causing her to jump out of her skin almost while her glasses fell to the ground. Rainbow Dash skidded to a halt noticing the girl was now on the ground looking for her glasses. Spotting them, she grabbed them and handed them to the girl helping her to her feet. “Sorry about that, I didn't think you would react like that.” She said abit easier. Twilight adjusted her glasses and looked the newcomer up and down blushing at what she saw.

“Its fine. And to answer your question, were moving Sunset in with us. Shes currently going to be undergoing a massive surgery today, and my parents and I are moving her in with us since me and her will be spending alot of time together after the operation.” She said getting ready to go inside to grab more of Sunset’s belongings. “Wait, Sunset’s alive?” Rainbow Dash asked grabbing the girl by the arm. “I thought Gilda and her goons had actually gone through and murdered her!” Twilight shook her head and turned around. “No. Shes alive, but barely. She was clinging to life when I was brought in last night.” She said heading inside to get more of her belongings. “Look, Ill gladly explain it all, but I need to get everything packed up. Think you can lend a hand?” Nodding, Rainbow Dash headed in after her as Twilight began to explain the story and what the operation was going to be, which freaked Rainbow out abit that that was just how bad it was for Sunset now and frowned as they loaded the last of her things into the car.

“Do you know if Sunset is still mad at us?” she asked as Twilight and her parents got into the car. “Honestly... I dont think shes mad at anyone... Shes just super depressed, like shes lost all hope of ever finding happiness again. I asked her about her friends, but she just turned away not wanting to think of them.” She said lowering her head. Rainbow Dash lowered her head as well saying just loud enough to be heard, “it was us... we were her friends... until Anon-A-Miss started...” Twilight reached out and took the girls hand. “Come on. Were gonna drop all of this off at our house, then head out to lunch, then back to the hospital. you can explain everything to me on the way.”

Applejack came into Sugar Cube Corner and sat down at their regular table as Pinkie Pie came to the table with their drinks, setting them down without a care as her head slammed the table with a thonk. “Its already bad enough that we've lost Sunset to those creeps, but now the Princess is stealing all her stuff? Why?” She said tilting her stetson back abit grabbing her drink, but not taking a sip. “I'm not sure that WAS the Princess...” Rarity said casually stirring her drink. “I mean... first off, that outfit is not what Twilight wears, and she never has her hair in a ponytail... plus those glasses... I think she might be our world’s Twilight.”

Fluttershy looked at her from behind her thick hair in confusion. “If that's the case, then why is she taking Sunset’s stuff?” She asked not noticing the door bell ring as someone walked in and sat a table away starting to do a drawing. “Maybe she knows who Sunset is and heard the story and is working with the people who own her apartment to move her out now that shes gone?” Pinkie Pie said, tilting her head up to look at her drink, her poofy hair now flat.

“Sunset’s gone?” A voice said from the table next to them curious and worried. The girls looked over to see a girl with blue skin and blue hair with dark blue strips going down it and her massive ponytail looking at them. Applejack instantly recognized her and leapt up getting ready to attack. “YOU!!! YOUR ONE OF THE DAZZLINGS!!!” She yelled freaking out the girl as she almost fell out of her chair, dropping her pencil to the ground causing the tip to break. “Aww, now look what you made me do! And I forgot to bring my pencil sharpener...” She said sadly as she picked it up looking at her now broken pencil. “Does anyone have a spare pencil?” She asked looking at the group hopefully. Pinkie Pie reached under the table and handed it to her.

“Good thing I have spare pencils lying around... I guess...” She said before laying her head back down. “Thank you... Uh... I never got any of your names...” the girl said as she set the pencil on top of her art book and looked at the group. “Oh... Uh, Im Applejack...” The farmgirl said before pointing to everyone else. “That’s Rarity, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie... I dont think we ever got your name...” The girl stretched over the table and shook Applejack’s hand. “My name’s Sonata Dusk, though everyone calls me Sonata... Makes sense as thats my name hehe.” She said happily before sitting back in her chair. “So, whats wrong with Sunset?” She asked calmly as she went back to her sketch. The group sighed and begun to explain the situation to the girl as she continued to work on her drawing.

“Wow... it sounds like you guys messed up royally...” She said as she finished her drawing and looked up at the group seeing how miserable they were from her saying that. “Sorry... but how can you be sure that she’s actually gone? I mean... Maybe shes at the hospital right now?” She suggested getting up to order something from the counter. “Thats true... We never even considered that an option...” Fluttershy said as their phone’s buzzed again. Applejack pulled her’s out and looked at the text. “Its from Rainbow Dash!” She said as Sonata returned with her drink.

“She says she’s with our world’s Twilight and that they are heading over to the hospital to check on Sunset’s operation... and there’s more, but she cant bring herself to type it out...” She said getting up and grabbing her jacket. “She wants us to meet her there!” She said getting ready to leave. The rest of the girls followed suit as Sonata reached out to Pinkie Pie with a slip of paper. “Whats this?” Pinkie Pie asked reading what appeared to be numbers on it. “Its my number. Let me know how she’s doing... ok?” She asked.

“But why?” Pinkie Pie asked confused pulling out her phone to put the girls number in. Sonata was about to say something when she saw Applejack wave outside for Pinkie to hurry up. “Ill explain later. Lets just say she helped me see things differently for now” she said to which Pinkie nodded and ran out the door. Sonata then returned to her seat and looked at her sketch, a picture of Sunset and her hugging tightly. “Please make it through this Sunset...”

Rainbow looked up at the hospital frowning as Twilight and her family got out of their car. “Ill catch up in abit...” She said to Twilight as she headed inside, “the rest of my friends are coming here to give their support to Sunset and you.” Twilight turned around hearing that part and folded her arms. “It... might be smart for now if you and your friends might not go up from what you told me... Heck... I'm going to be passed out for the next few days while this is taking place, so I'm not even going to be seeing her for awhile. It'd probably be for the best if you guys go home and after this is all done, I can maybe talk her into maybe saying hi... but I honestly don't see her going for it.” Twilight said looking abit upset.

“Normally, Id agree... but Ive already abandoned her once before... I'm not doing it again...” Rainbow said her face hiding behind her mane of hair sounding like she was crying. Twilight watched and put her hand on the girls shoulder. “You love her... dont you?” She asked causing Dash to flinch. “I... uh...” “Ok... you can stay, but give her some space when she’s out... Im pretty sure she wont be in any mood to get swamped by people as shes getting used to...” Twilight said interrupted as Rainbow Dash hugged her close. “I know... You take good care of her, ok?” She asked the now blushing Twilight. Nodding, she slowly hugged Rainbow Dash back just as she noticed a car pull up and a group of girls got out of it running towards them.

“It looks like your friends are here. Ill leave you to them.” Twilight said ending the hug failing to notice Rainbow Dash was also blushing as she turned and walked into the building. “Rainbow Dash, we came as soon as we could! Whats up with Sunset Darling?” Rarity asked as Rainbow slowly turned to them. “We should go inside... you guys are gonna want to sit down for this...” She said leading them in.

“Your joking there Sugarcube... its really THAT serious?” Applejack asked as Rainbow Dash looked at the floor having finished telling them about the situation. “I... I cant believe it... Were all the ones who screwed up... and Sunset is paying for it by losing half of herself, requiring to be attached to someone for her entire life...” Fluttershy whispered crying behind her hair. Pinkie Pie looked at her friends and pulled out her phone and began to type. “So what are we going to do? We have to make this up to her...” She said as she opened a new Notes Tap and labeled it ‘Brainstorming to make up to Sunset’.

“Pinkie Pie... Right now... all I can think of is to stay here and wait on her to get out... We need to live up to the elements that we had failed to honor the past week...” Rainbow Dash said as she got up and pulled out her wallet to go get them something from the vending machines. “Rainbow Dash is right... We should stay here until they are able to have visitors.” Rarity said folding her arms as her friends all nodded in agreement before she continued, “After that, we should at least ask the doctor when they are released so we all have time to head home and clean up... Im sure the hospital doesnt want us here stinking up the joint.” The group nodded as Pinkie Pie began to text Sonata like she promised she would.

Sunset slowly began open her eyes as she heard the steady beep of the heart monitor next to her. “Ugh... what... What happened?” She whispered as she lifted her right hand to her head, though oddly enough her left hand was'nt responding. She tried to sit up, but again, the entire left side of her body was'nt moving. “Lets see... Last i remember... Twilight was here... and she was... writing my signature for me... The Doctor said I was going to be... Joined... to her... “ she muttered quietly the last words as she slowly turned to her left, seeing her left breast, from the middle, was stitched to another breast, purple, before seeing a third breast, also purple, before looking up and seeing Twilight Sparkle’s head attached to her. Despite knowing this was going to happen, Sunset felt a scream about to come out, only to hear the door open as The Doctor walked in.

“Ah, Miss Shimmer! You've awakened!” He said walking over to them to check their vitals. “Your results came in saying your operation was a complete success, We were just worried how long it'd take for you to wake up.” Sunset looked down at her... no, THEIR body and raised their outfit up to try and see just how much she shared with her. “Do we... share everything?” She asked nervously. The Doctor took his shades off and began to clean them as he looked at her. “Miss Shimmer... you must remember... you were severally beaten, you even lost all motor skills on the entire left side of your body. Were doctors, and our job is to do everything in our power to heal the wounded and save lives. You are no exception. The only way we could save you was to conjoin you to Miss Sparkle over there. The only thing you don't share is your limbs and heads. Everything else belongs to the two of you.” he said calmly before putting his shades back on.

“I... see.... Thank you Doctor... Uh, how long will Twilight be out cold?” She asked looking at her new bodymate and sister. “By my guess, within the hour. And by then it will be time to let your visitors in.” He said before leaving. “Visitors? What Visitor- Oh, he must be talking about her parents.” She said before laying her head back on the pillow and sighed staring at the ceiling for abit until she felt her left side start to move on its own. She then gave a soft giggle as she heard the most adorable yawn ever as she felt Twilight try to sit up.

“Mmmm... What... Where am I?” She asked curiously as she felt her right arm move and tap her nose. Gasping, she turned and stared straight at the girl stuck to her right side. “Uh, hey there Twilight.” She said nervously smiling as the two finally sat up. “Oh, hi Sunset.... Wait, Sunset?” Twilight suddenly reacted and put her hand on her new sister’s face while squinting, still unable to see whats right in front of her. “Are you... Am I... are we really... joined together?” She asked freaking out abit. Giggling, Sunset reached up to the nervous girl’s hand and gently took it.

“I'm afraid so sis. Were one girl... with two heads hehe.” She said as she tried to calm her down, feeling their shared heart start to speed up. “Maybe you should calm down abit... We don't need a heart attack right now.” She said catching Twilight’s attention. “Huh? Oh! Right... We share a heart now...” she said as she tried to calm down. “I know I agreed to this... but talking about it and actually having it happen are two different things.” She said putting her hand over their heart, blushing hard at feeling the new breast they shared.

“Yeah... I know how you feel.” Sunset said taking Twilight’s hand and starting to rub it gently to calm the girl down more. Soon they felt their heart slow back to normal as Sunset looked at Twilight. “Thank you for saving my life Twilight... even if i am a complete stranger to you.” Sunset said slowly looking away and sighing. “Your welcome. And whats wrong?” Twilight asked as she reached over to a nearby table spotting her glasses, unfortunately pulling Sunset with her causing Sunset to accidentally bump heads with her.

“OW!” they both yelled as Twilight pulled her arm back and put on her glasses to see Sunset much better. The pair rubbed the sides of their heads as Twilight smiled sheepishly at Sunset. “Sorry... I... guess that's going to take some getting used to, making sure we don't hurt ourselves hehe.” She said nervously. Sunset nodded and turned her neck to get a better look at where her head hit Twilight’s. “Thankfully nothing serious. Well just need to give a bit of a warning before one of us needs to lean to grab something.” Sunset said before grabbing the bed remote and pressed a button to raise it up abit so they could relax.

“So The Doctor said we had visitors... I'm guessing your parents?” Sunset asked casually as Twilight put on the TV in the room. “Hmm? I guess my parents would show up as well as my brother, but I know Rainbow Dash wanted to see you soon as we got up.” Twilight said, suddenly feeling their heart begin to pick up speed. “Nooooo.... Please tell me i heard that wrong... Please tell me she doesn't know I'm here... I don't want to see her or the others ever again...” She said starting to tear up and wiped her eyes only to suddenly see the door open as Rainbow Dash stood there, holding a box of M&M’s. The two girls stared at each other for what felt like eternity, Twilight looking at the two of them fearing Sunset was gonna launch them out of bed and attack Rainbow, but instead Sunset attempted to cross her arm with Twilight’s and looked out the window.

“Please leave Rainbow... you've already hurt me enough for one life time.” She said keeping her rage in check. Rainbow Dash shook her head and walked into the room and sat in the chair on Sunset’s side. “Look... Sunset... I know we all messed up-" She started to say only for Sunset to snap at her, "Oh YEAH, you REALLY messed up. I fucking TOLD YOU I wasnt behind it, and instead of being the friends you claimed to be, you abandoned me the first chance you got! You watched as I was beaten and made fun of by the other students, getting enjoyment from my misery! And who got punished the most for this?" Sunset then pointed to Twilight to continue. "SHE DID! Because of your guys an innocent girl had to give up half her body just so I could have a chance to live! You guys did this!" She then put her face in her palm and cried as Twilight held her and looked up at Rainbow Dash about to talk but stopped seeing Twilight's expression.

"You should go." She said calmly and rubbed her sister's shoulder to try and comfort her. sighing defeated, Rainbow Dash got up and left, returning to the lobby to see her friends standing there waiting on the news. "Well... their awake at least... But Sunset doesnt want to see us..." Rainbow said as she sat in a chair, tossing the box of candy onto the table she was gonna give Sunset. "honestly... Can you blame her?" Pinkie Pie said looking up from her phone after texting someone. "I mean... why should she give us another chance? We never did..." The rest of the group looked at each other concerned about the situation. "So... What do we do now Yall?" Applejack asked grabbing her hat off the table and standing up looking at the rest of her friends. "Darling..." Rarity said getting up and putting her hand on Applejack's shoulder, "I dont think theres anything we can do right now... we just need to give her time and hope she comes around." The rest of the group nodded only for Rainbow Dash to sniff the air. "ugh... We should probably all head home and at least clean up before trying to talk to her again." She said leading the group out of the hospital, one of the nurses walking in and spraying the room after they left.

ok, Ive updated the end of the chapter. I knew I wasnt the biggest fan of it, but at the time I didnt care. but I finally decided to redo it(mainly the last two paragraphs) and I think this is MUCH better.
