Sunset sighed as she and Twilight walked to the dining hall, using a walker to get around. It had been a long morning as the two of them had been getting tested by the Doctor’s getting the muscles in their legs to work together and to get them walking in sync with each other... most of it with them tripping over each other.

“Alright now then...” The Doctor said wheeling the two into a room with a treadmill in it, “Were gonna require that you two get on the treadmill and attempt to walk together to see how far we got to go to get you walking again.” Sunset nodded and stuck her foot out to stand up, only to notice to late Twilight hadnt even attempted to get up, which ended up having Sunset push the chair away from them and having them fall on their shared butt.

“Ow!” Sunset hissed looking at Twilight. “Whyd you not stand up?” She asked as The Doctor reached down and helped them back up. “I was gonna wait for The Doctor to lock the chair and walk us over to the treadmill... Im sorry....” She said starting to get upset. Sunset frowned feeling their heart beat start to slow. “No... Im sorry... I should of asked first... this whole thing is gonna take some getting used to... “ Sunset said as The Doctor got them on the treadmill. “Alright, lets take it nice and slow” He said turning it on and setting it to 1 only to watch the pair drop to the floor both trying to walk at the same time.

The Doctor brought the two into the next room about an hour later and stopped the chair in front of a TV with a game system hooked up to it. “Ok, so for our next test... We want you two to play a game together as one person.” Sunset raised an eyebrow at the idea as Twilight raised their left hand up. “Uh... what exactly will this accomplish?” She asked curiously, Sunset admitting to herself that it is indeed a fair question.

“Well in theory, this will teach the two of you to work together to make your way through obstacles” he said handing them the controller and turning on the TV before getting behind them as they booted the system up, revealing the game to be, “Oh i loved this game! I spent nearly 400 hours on the original Wii U version!” Sunset said happily as the familiar music for Hyrule Warriors played on the TV. She suddenly felt the left side shake abit and gulp. “I... dont play games much...” Twilight said turning to her bodymate giving a weak smile. “Thats ok. Im sure the two of us can get through at least one level, right?” Sunset said with glee.

“WERE GOING THE WRONG WAY!” Sunset snapped as Twilight ran Link away from the keep where King Dodongo just spawned. “ARE YOU INSAIN? WERE NEVER GONNA BEAT THAT THING WITH HOW WEAK WE ARE!!!” Twilight screamed back as Sunset tried getting them to turn around with the camera. All the while, The Doctor was shaking his head hiding it behind his hand.

The Doctor looked at the pair as they tried to write their names on a sheet of paper, only to sigh as they accidentally ripped the paper apart again trying to write on it at the same time. “Ugh this is impossible!” Sunset heard her left side say in fustration and tossed the pencil to the wall before hiding her face in her arm... only to drag Sunset’s head down having her smack her head into the table. “OW!” Sunset shouted in pain rubbing her forehead in pain as Twilight looked at her sheepishly.

“Hehe... Sorry about that... again...“ She said quietly before looking away in shame for hurting Twilight. “Girls, you two need to learn to work as a team... perhaps try and do the writing one at a time?” The Doctor suggested grabbing them another sheet of paper and grabbed Twilight’s pencil from the ground bringing them over to the girls to have them try again.

The duo sighed as they reached for two lunch trays and got into the line, struggling to hold onto the trays and the walker at the same time only to drop one of them. “Uggggh!!!” they both groaned and tried to bend over to grab them only to loss their footing and fall onto their chest. “Why is it SO HARD to grab a tray off the floor now?” Sunset groaned in frustration as she tried to grab the tray again only to see a pair of magenta boots walk up to them.

“Would you like a hand?” they heard a female ask. Looking up, Sunset gasped as Twilight looked at the light blue hand reaching down to help them up. “What are YOU doing here Sonata?” Sunset asked as Twilight accepted the hand helping them up. “Pinkie Pie told me something happened to you recently and I was worried that Id never get to talk to you again about that night at the Battle of the Bands.” Sonata said bending over to pick up their fallen tray. Twilight looked from the new girl to her bodymate in confusion. “What happened at the Battle of the Bands Sunset?” She asked as Sunset sighed. “Ill tell later... lets just for now Sonata and her sister’s came in and tried to take over the school, and my... ex.... friends.... and I took them down.” Sunset said not really in the mood to tell Twilight she was a unicorn from another dimension and had magic powers.

She mentally sighed when Twilight nodded and they got back in line, this time with Sonata holding onto one of their trays for them. Sonata then took the second tray from them and paid for their meals before leading them to a table real close, running ahead to put the food on the table. “Well she’s certainly changed since last time” Sunset said as the two took small steps towards the table, only for Sonata to run back over to help them walk over there faster before sitting them down.

“So, what have you been up to since the Battle of the Bands Sonata?” Sunset asked grabbing her sandwich and taking a bite of it. “Well.... its been kinda miserable sadly. Aria and Adagio have been yelling at each other constantly for the past few months, getting angry at pretty much every little thing like a scrap of paper being on the floor, or why there are dishes in the sink, dishes that they put in there mind you... Its been a living hell...” Sonata said pulling out a bottle of soda from her pocket and took a sip. “Oh you poor thing!” Twilight said reaching out taking one of her hands into her own. “So I decided recently to try and go back to school after the human holiday’s were over... If only to get away for a few hours a day...” She added putting the bottle on the table before looking at them.

“I was gonna fill out the form to go to Crystal Prep a few days ago at Sugar Cube after finishing a drawing, but then I heard your friends-” “Ex Friends...” Sunset said interrupting her causing her to tilt her head in confusion. “Why’s that?” Sunset sighed turning away abit before explaining what had happened to her leading up to her now being attached to Twilight. “Wow.... and they kept preaching about the magic of friendship this entire time to...” Sonata said sadly holding both girls hands frowning. Twilight laid her head beside Sunset’s in an attempt to calm her down. “Im sorry they did that to you Sunset.” Twilight said, Sunset feeling their now shared heart beat proving she was telling the truth. Sonata nodded and walked over to their side of the table to give them a tight hug, which Twilight returned while Sunset took a few seconds to think it over before hugging her back.

Sonata then leaned back with a caring smile and said, “If you need anything, Im always here for you. Both of you.” She said shedding a happy tear. Sunset blinked and took another bite of her food, as did Twilight, before asking, “What happened to you Sonata? Last I saw you and your sister’s hated our guts.” Sonata shook her head before taking another swig of her drink. “Actually I was wanting to come see you after that... but the booing and throwing things at us scared me away from it... Sunset, I hated being like that, and always wished for a better life. At the time, I thought you and your friends could help us...” She said looking down at her hands only to feel a hand grab her shoulder. “To be honest, I did want to go looking for you three after that, but besides you getting chased off, I kinda got lost in the lies my ex friends told me about being part of their group.” Sunset said having Sonata look her in the eyes. “I did really want to try and befriend you and your sisters Sonata.” Smiling, she looked at the two girls and asked, “Can... Can we try being friends now? With both of you?”

Sunset turned to her bodymate who gave a soft blush. “Ive never had a friend before... So sure!” she said smiling at Sunset. Sunset turned back and gave a nod and soft smile. “Im sure it will be better then the first friendship I had hehe.” Sunset said only to gasp as Sonata punch hugged them, causing Twilight to grab the table as quick as possible to make sure they dont fall. “YAY! IM SO HAPPY TO BE FRIENDS!!!” Sonata screamed with joy causing the duo to giggle happily and after getting their balance returned the hug.

Officer Shining Armor pulled into a parking space at the hospital sighing looking at the paperwork in the passenger seat. “Hopefully shes awake enough to tell me what exactly happened to her.” He said putting everything into a brief case and climbed out of his car. As he started making his way over to the building, he saw as his parents and wife, Cadence, pulled up to the hospital as well. Stepping inside to get out of the cold, he waited for them to come inside so he could ask them what they were doing there. He watched as his wife ran inside and hugged him tight.

“Sweetie, what are you doing here?” She asked after releasing him from the hug. “Im here to see a girl that was beaten nearly to death about what happened to her. What about you guys?” He asked looking to his parents. “Were here to see Twilight. She and Sunset woke up this morning and are now accepting visitors.” His mother said confusing Shining Armor even more. “What does Twilight have to do with Mrs. Shimmer?” He asked confused as they walked to the counter. “You mean you dont know?” Nightlight asked as Twilight Velvet got the floor and room they were in. “All I know is Sunset was kidnapped by some kids from her school, and was beaten to near death before I and my team stopped her kidnappers from murdering her.” he said as his mom walked back over to them.

“Their on floor 4, room D24.” She said before leading them to the elevator. Upon getting into the elevator, Shining turned to his parents and asked, “So what does Twilight have to do with Sunset?” Sighing, Twilight turned to her son replying, “honestly... its better you just see for your own eyes... I dont think we can give it justice to explain what happened.” Grumbling, Shining Armor waited for the elevator to open before leading the way to the room they were in. As they approached, they heard the sound of three female voices in there, one belonging to Twilight, one they assumed was Sunset, but the third one didnt sound familiar at all.

Knocking, they heard one of them call out, “Come in”. Shining Armor opened the door, entering first, looking at his brief case for abit. “Mrs. Shimmer, Im officer Shining Armor. I was the officer who led the team who found you and I jus-” He stops looking up to see the girl who he helped save, now attached to his little sister. “What the FUCK ARE YOU DOING ATTACHED TO MY SISTER?!?!?!” He screamed dropping the brief case running up to his sister’s side, ignoring the blue girl on the other side of the two girls holding onto Sunset’s arm in fear. “Twily, what did they do to you? Why are you attached to her?” He said with a hint of anger in his voice, scaring her abit leaning their shared body away from him.

“SHINING ARMOR, THAT IS ENOUGH!” They heard their mother snap before watching as she yanked him by the ear out the door as Nightlight and Cadence ran into the room and up to the two girls to comfort the girls. “Shining Armor, what is the meaning of this?” She hissed at him closing the door behind them. “Mom, You cant be ok with Twilight sharing her body with her. i know she had it rough, but-” He suddenly felt a slap on his face, his mother’s hand hovering where his face was a second ago.

“Now listen here. Sunset was on near death when you found her, correct?” After he nodded, she continued, “well, she also lost all control of her left side. Twilight was reached out to help her survive as shes an exact match for blood type and organs. This was the only solution to save Sunset’s life.” Shining Armor couldnt believe his ears as he looked at the door. “That girl has been through alot, as has Twilight... Now you will go back in there, apologize to both of them, then leave. You can ask them questions later when they come home. Ok?” She said pointing to the door showing it was not up for discussion.

Nodding, he stepped inside standing at the foot of the bed. “Twily, Mrs. Shimmer, Id like to apologize for my behavior I displayed. Especially to you Mrs. Shimmer after everything youve been through. I.... I will see you when mom and dad bring you two back home.” He said grabbing his brief case and heading back to the elevator. Cadence shook her head and got back up to catch up to her husband before he left. Sunset sighed looking to Twilight. “This was a mistake... you should of left me for dead Twilight...” she said, looking away crying. Suddenly she felt Sonata grip her arm tightly and looked at her.

“Sunset, if Ive learned anything these past few months, its that everyone deserves to live... And you more then anyone deserve this second chance at life!” She said looking into Sunset’s eyes. “I.... I...” Sunset stuttered only to feel her left side grab her face as Twilight turned her to her frowning. “Sunset, if I didnt think you werent worth saving, I wouldnt of given up half of my life to save yours! Now come on, I know you deserve to live, and I dont care what anyone says! I would of helped you no matter what!” She said seriously, looking Sunset in the eyes. Looking at the two girls, she gave a weak nod with a soft smile. “Alright. Should... Should we go stop your brother from leaving?”

Shining Armor frowned as he turned away from talking to his wife walking to the exit when he heard the door to the elevator open up. “Wait BBBFF!” He heard his sister call out to him. Turning around, he watched the duo run out of the elevator with the blue skinned girl after them. They stopped in front of him catching their breath before Sunset reached out and took his hand. “Im sorry you were left in the dark on this, and i know this is so sudden” Sunset said only for her other half to finish her sentence, “but we hope you will learn to accept us... As us.” Shining Armor looked down and blinked.

“Uh... shouldnt you two be using a walker to get around this early?” The two girls blinked only to hear another elevator door open seeing Twilight’s parents and The Doctor with their walker. “How were you two able to get down here so fast without this?” The Doctor asked holding up their walker, causing the two girls to look down in confusion noticing they came down without anyone helping. “How were we able to get down here that fast?” Twilight asked Sunset, who shrugged, showing just as much confusion.

“Maybe it was an accident?” She said, casually lifting her foot up to scratch Twilight’s leg, suddenly feeling an itch there. Everyone watched in shock that Twilight, who earlier had to talk to her partner to walk, was now able to stand them on one foot with no loss of balance whatsoever. “Its.... Impossible... you two shouldnt be operating like this for weeks!” The Doctor said before turning to the elevator. “This way!”

“Its incredible... Somehow everything in them has been rewired so that their body can operate naturally!” The Doctor said looking at some X-Rays that were taken a few minutes ago. “How is that possible?” Cadence asked standing next to the girls, who were sitting on the bed. Sonata said she had to leave for now as her shift was about to start, but shed be back later. “It isnt possible. At least, not this early. Wed of expected them to maybe get rewired like this near 30 years old... not a few hours after the woke up!” he said taking his sun glasses off and looking at the family. “At this rate with how fast their healing and suddenly working together... they might be out within a few days.”

The next few days flew by fast. The Doctor sat their dumbfounded on how these two girls were now suddenly operating as a single person, from now walking in unison, to running on the treadmill. The game they were playing to learn to work as a team, they brought to their room, and while Sonata was there, would play the game with her to pass the time when they ran out of things to talk about, and when no one was there, they would get up and grab the Switch from the dock and bring it back to bed where they would continue their campaign, soon even beating the game’s story mode. Even writing had become a non-issue. They decided when they could get away with it, to have one of them write a paper them self while having the other hold the paper down so it didnt get away from them, and decided to combine their names when signing, on paper going by “SunLight” and only when someone called out to both of them at the same time to save time.

The only times they now had problems were when they had a disagreement or when some girls came by claiming they were Sunset’s friends. When that would happen, they would suddenly lose all control of their body and struggle to work as one for abit until they calmed down and got over it... Then suddenly their body would function as a single girl again... almost like magic... This also happened their first time going to the bathroom, the two becoming embarrassed unable to work together. Eventually they managed to get over it and were able to go as one as well. At least, he assumed so, cause he didnt have anything to do with that as he sent Nurse Redheart in instead to deal with that one... He wondered how their first period was gonna turn out, then shrugged it off as that wasnt his business either.

Sighing, he looked at the calendar to see that today was the day they would remove the stitches as apparently their bodies healed fast, combining to the point if you couldnt tell be the skin color, youd think they were always sharing a body. Getting up, he walked to the girl’s room as he saw Mrs. Sparkle’s parents walking down the hallway with what he assumed was a bag of clothes for the girls. “Ah, Mrs. Velvet and Mr. Light, your just in time. I was about to go take them to get the stitches removed!” He said reaching for the door. “Thats good to hear Doctor, to be honest, its been quiet around the house. It will be good to have our daughter and our newest family member there.” Mrs. Velvet said as they walked in only to see the bed was empty. “Whered they go?” Mr. Light said looking around only for the group to hear Sunset call out from the bathroom.

“Were in here... Can you give us a minute?” She called out. “Sorry about that. But hurry up sweeties! Your gonna be coming home soon!” Twilight’s mom called out before they stepped outside. A few minutes later they heard a flush before hearing the door open up seeing their two heads pop out the door. “Ok were done.” Twilight said readjusting her glasses as they stepped out of the room. Nodding, The Doctor led the two girls down the hall as their parents stepped inside to await their return.

I was hoping to make it longer, but the idea of typing ever single day they were in the hospital sounded boring to me, plus i have other things I need to work on. I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
