Fluttershy's Nightmare

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

The woods became darker, as the yellow tint from the sky seemed to dim opon itself. We followed the powerlines into the dark ambient woods. Clown souls silently floated from the woods and dissipated from reality. The girls glanced around while the souls floated around us in unison, and dissolved into thin air. Around the seventh telephone pole inside the woods, the lines of power experienced a surge of over current, where the trashcan transformers blew up in synchronization. We dove into the hard dried up ground. Sparks flew all over the place as the transformers arc'd with a blinding light brighter than the sun. We've regrouped staying closer together within a semi cicular perimeter, as the girls followed right behind me.

The woods opened a gap to the right of us, which would lead us into more dead trees and the old cabin at the end of the trail. I told the girls to sprint forward behind me. They nodded, as I darted into the path of dead trees. A faint whispering stalked us, as we sprinted onward though the dead woods. We finally made our way to the old deteriorating cabin, while the girls caught their breathe. Fluttershy trotted up to me with a question from our run together.

"Was that the whispering...you heard from your nightmares?" She asked in curiousity. I looked over to her with a response.

"Yeah.....you girls heard it too?" I asked the group, as Rarity was the first to respond to me.

"Darling, our sensitive ears picked up the noises from the lifeless forest. It wasn't just you dear...." This was reassuring to my sanity at the time, to think that I was irrationally breaking down from the past events of Unloved....

"Thank God, I surely thought I was losing my mind from all those countless sleepless nights....Let's see what this cabin has in store for us."

The front door was locked, with no way to open it. We jogged to the right side of the house, to reveal a old wooden sign with an arrow pointing to another pathway inside the dead woods. Twilight read aloud to the group:

"That which cannot be killed

Take to Portal ->"

Great, I really do not want to find out one that of these otherworldly beings is unkillable...Fluttershy spoke up in the group.

"That which cannot be killed.....Oh...my..." She repeated in worry, as she trotted close to my right side. Located to the left of the sign, was the back entrance to the old cabin. I pointed the muzzle of the M16A1 inwards, as we stepped onward into the old cabin. The cabin contained a piano room with a rocking chair, a full shower bathroom, a bedroom with a closet, a kitchen littered with empty booze bottles and full soda cans complete with a blood stained fridge, and a living room....with the front door entrance wide open from an unknown source.

A large floating clown hurtled toward us from the entrance. Twilight flung a gore balloon at the clown, where it moaned and formed into a black balloon. Dash got into the habit of popping these things with her knife, except for the fact that Fluttershy now held the knife. She slightly poked the tip of the blade into the balloon. The balloon imploded in blood as she shrieked from the surprise. Two clown souls fell to the ground from the black balloon and rolled over to the gore grenade launcher placed in Applejack's hooves. The spheres fused into the dreadful clown portrait on the weapon.

I spotted a pipe leaking from the back of the bathroom wall from inside the cabin, and decided to follow the narrow corridor behind the wall. A severed arm screeched and hastily crawled over to me, as I squeezed off a few round from the M16. The arm imploded as it screamed in pain, to reveal a sleeping clown switch covered in cobwebs. After the switch was pressed, I told the girls to regroup at the entrance of the opened cabin door. A ruger 10/22 rested on the side of the fireplace that we previously have not spotted from before. I placed Fluttershy's combat knife inside my bag, as she ran over to the fireplace and shouldered the firearm. She scurried back to me.

A large translucent floating clown demon moaned silently, as it's jaw uncontrollably chattered on its own. Twilight flung the second of her last gore balloon at the fiend, where it morphed into a black balloon. More translucent clown demons emerged from all sides of the lifeless woods, groaning silently as they drifted toward the cabin. I thought up a plan.....that I told the girls in a quick response.

"Girls, we gotta pace ourselves through the woods back into town. From there, we can take on the demonic floating creatures....Follow right behind me, we're gonna sprint through this again."

I darted like a bullet in high velocity, with a trail of monsters following our path from the woods. All six of us spun around 180 degree's, and opened fire on the advancing crowd of monsters. More demonic clowns and bloodied skulls were alerted from our presense once we were inside the town once again. I threw two clown grenades in the cluster of monsters, and performed a quick magazine change. Twilight tossed her last gore balloon in the cluster of floating clowns. Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy took out the charging bloodied skulls.

A larger version of the metallic clown skulls, emerged from the side of a building and ignited a large heat seeking missle, aimed in my direction. I darted to the left of the building as the rocket crashed into a brick building. A colorful, poisonous gas cloud almost nearly choked me to death. I dropped my M16, with watery eyes while I grasped my throat for fresh air. The girls in unison unloaded on the monster, which it imploded into a large floating clown soul while its rocket gas launcher landed on the street of the ground. Twilight shouldered the gas rocket launcher over her right arm, as Fluttershy helped me back onto my own two feet.

The disturbing sign located on top of the pet store entrance, was finally wide open, as I held the M16 near to my torso. We looked around the insides of the store, only to find expired pet food. A large, vibrant colored gap flashed on the back wall opposite from the stores entrance. I slid my body though the narrow gap, as the girls did the same behind me. Another flashing type of 'fun room', populated with multicolored balloons surrounded us in this new enviorment. We transended upward, to an odd musical tune playing in the atmosphere around us. A pillar of three bloodied skull pointed towards us, as a small red headed clown statue pointed it's arm to our direction. To the right of the skull pillars, was a large portrait of the evil mastermind that swept this entire ghost town. The evil presence...was the same red headed clown from the portraits we've previously encountered. The larger portrait contained the menacing clown, with grotesquely inhumaine pointed teeth. The clown must has been alerted from our presense in search for Pinkie Pie, into this god fosaken ghost town. The mastermind tried desperately to break us all down ever since our arrival here. The girls and I recieved a slight tingling sensation down our spines, as we looked into the eyes of this horrible portrait of the monster. We all knew...in the back of our minds....that this was the prime evil that drove Pinkie Pie insane. We had to destroy it....somehow.

A small ramp, leading downward to a semi translucent striped colored wall stood before us. I reached my hand through the mysterious wall. A sleeping clown switch was located to the opposite side of the translucent wall. A pillar....of a mixture of pony and human skulls....surrounded a cylindrical molten mass of sorts. Rarity pressed on the switch, as the room froze a solid dark blue. A wall lowered to the left of us, as the cylindrical molten mass lowered itself slowly, only to behold one of the deepest fears that Fluttershy could only wish to unsee in her lifetime.

The image of this...abominable nightmare...was alot more gruesome than any beloved animal lover should ever behold to witness.

An 8 foot tall, crudely decapitated head of Fluttershy's most beloved pet, Angel.....bounced off from the platform and plundered toward us. The description of this decapitated head....was constructed by a being not even closely comprehendable to the darkest, most twisted minds that ever lived from mankind. The mouth of this nightmare was gaping open in fear, as if someone crudely attempted to cut off the rabbit's head with a dull axe while it was in pain. It's black eyes were piercing and barren, like if you gazed into the eyes of a dead deer on the side of the road. The tendons of flesh and muscle fibers...skattered around the base of its white furry neck. It made a haunting 'plopping' sound, everytime it leaped its giant head forward to our direction.

We all dropped our weapons with our eye's widened in terror. Fluttershy fainted and collasped onto the ground from the image of her beloved pet. As it plopped and leaped closer to us, a survival gear shifted into place in my mind. I hastily picked up and supported Fluttershy onto my back. I screamed at the top of my lungs at the girls, to snap them out of their state of frozen terror.

"Run! As fast as you can girls, right behind me!" I shouted while I darted to the woods.

I ran the hardest I ever thought capable in my entire lifetime, into the cabin trail within the woods. Applejack tossed a clown grenade from behind us, where it blew up in colorful sharpnel that penetrated into Angel's severed head. The plopping noise suddenly stopped pursuing from behind us, as we all turned around to the direction of the severed head. Angel's pointed ears shifted downward, as it closed it's eyes in defeat. Streams of red blood trickled from the shrapnel wounds. We had a small moment to catch our breathe. Angel slowly lifted it's eyelids back into life again, as the wounds vanished from it's white fur. It snarled and groaned at us, while it plopped toward us again from the red muscle fibers and tendons hitting the ground.

I ran toward the wooden sign from the back of the cabin, which pointed to the clown portal to the right of us. Applejack's backpack became snagged on a loose tree branch, which made her lag behind closer to the advancing severed head. A view of multicolored clown pillars with a portal that surrounded a red perimeter stood in front of us. We darted into the red perimeter, to turn around and see the severed head getting closer to us. Angel's gaping dark mouth sluggishly opened, almost taking a chunk out of Fluttershy and I, as it plopped into the barrier's red perimeter. The severed head vanished into a blinding white light, as the ground around us shook like an earthquake.

Fluttershy slowly regained consciousness, with her eyes slowly adjusting to us. I placed her on the ground, as I placed my backpack to support her head as a pillow. Her friends looked down to her in worry. She woke up in panic, and started to tremble in fear from the image of the decapitated head. More tears gushed from her eyes, as her body twiched in distraught. I did my best to confort her, as she was affected the most from this horrible experience. She looked up to me, while she sobbed and trembled.

"Ry....is it.....gone now?" She asked as her condition worsened.

Jesus, how could anything this horrible....have to happen to some being that was so innocent and naive. I expressed so much sympathy toward her, since there was nothing even remotely comparable to any human like her back on earth. I cursed out loud, to the damned evil clown that stalked us throughout our journey. I dropped to my knees and grabbed her closly to me in my arms, conforting her as best as I could for the time being. I began to rub her back as I supported her head, while she buried herself into my chest as she quietly wimpered. Her friends surrounded me, as they clustered together with their arms around Fluttershy and I. I felt more hatred building up within me, toward that fucking evil clown with red hair. I retained my anger and penned it up for later.

"It's....alright now sweetheart.....the nightmare is over." I told her soothingly, as her shaking and trembling started to ease a bit.

I wish that was true...... I picked her up in my arms now and lifted myself off from the ground. She felt more confortable being carried on the way back to town. The group and I encountered more of the red smiley balloons, where Rainbow Dash slashed them with the combat knife, that I told her to grab out of my backpack. We followed the telephone poles back into town, where three of those demonic clowns awaited for us again. Luckily, Applejacks gore grenade launcher was sitting by, as Rainbow Dash also grabbed a clown grenade from my backpack. We took cover, as Applejack unleashed a volley of kidney projectiles, while Dash tossed a grenade into the group of monsters. A section from the grey brick building from where the monsters emerged from, contained a small clown statue. I grasped it with Fluttershy still in my arms, and stomped it on the ground with full force. This opened up something from within the ghost town, while it left a flattened pile of gibblets underneathe my shoe.

"I think....I'll get down now sweetie..." Fluttershy told me, as she saw that I was growing fatigued from carrying her.

I lowered myself to the ground, as she slid out of my arms and supported herself on her own. More demonic clowns trampled toward us, casting their electro-static balls in our direction. Applejack responded with a burst of three projectiles, which took them out with no hesitation. We were getting closer to the opened wall....where the decapitated head chased us. Fluttershy started to wimper over the image of Angel yet again, while I quickly mustered up an idea.

I volunteered to grab the weapons back from the room, as I told the girls to wait by one of the grey bricked building's corner. I darted back into the room, to relive the image of being chased by the severed head, and compiled all of the weapons in my arms. I distributed all of the weapons back to the girls, as we glanced to left street from the pet store, that was finally unrevealed. We traveled onward on the unexplored road.....
