Big Mac signed out a dark green "Galaxie"4 door unmarked police cruiser.And drove Sheriff SilverStar and The Buttercups to
the "GREATER CANTERLOT OFFICE OF THE MEDICAL EXAMINER"They were greeted by Vannilla pudding,who led them all to the viewing room.Van opened the blinds on the rooms window.On the other side was a table with a body covered with a sheet,and a M.E.s assistant.Van asked Mr and Mrs Buttercup if they were ready.They both nodded and Van tapped on the glass and used his hand and made a motion to remove the sheet,at the head.When The Buttercups saw the dead young mare.They began crying.

Mrs.Buttercup held her husband and wailed,"OHHHHHHH!!MYYYYYYYY!!!!BABBBBBYYYY!!!!"

Big Mac said,"Mr and Mrs Buttercup.Ahh'm so very sorry,for ya'alls loss.Can you tell me,when was the last time ya'all saw your daughter??"

Mr Buttercup replied,"Blu came home for Hearth's Warming,and stayed till New Years."

Big Mac then asked,"Did ya'alls daughter seem agitated in any way??"

Mrs Buttercup replied,"No she seemed as happy as ever."

Big Mac asked,"So she had no enemies ta speak of??No pony she was havin problems with??"

Mr Buttercup replied angrily,"NO!!!DETECTIVE!!!!!NO PROBLEMS!!!BLU WOULDN'T HURT A FLY!!!!!!NO WHY ALL THE QUESTIONS????"

Mrs Buttercup said,"Dear.Please stop.Detective Apple is only doing his job."

SilverStar said,"She's right pard.Ahh've known Big Macintosh all his life,he didn't mean no disrespect by it."

Mr Buttercup composed himself and said,"Your right Silver.Detective Apple.I apologize for losing my temper."

Big Mac replied,"It's OK sir.Now everything in ya'alls daughters apartment was inventoried,Would ya'all check this here list to make sure nuthin was missin."

The Buttercups checked the list.then Mrs Buttercup noticed something.And said,"Blus necklace.It's not on the list."

Big Mac asked,"Which necklace would that be ma'am??"

Mrs Buttercup replied,"It was a gold chain,with a heart shaped pendant,with a blue sapphire.It was a gift from my mother,before she died,when Blu was still a teenager.So was very close to my mother,and she never took it off."

Mrs Buttercup and reached into her purse and showed a photograph of Blu Buttercup wearing the necklace.Big Mac immediatlly recognized the necklace.He had seen it before.

Big Mac said,Mrs Buttercup."Ah'll do everything Ah can to find the necklace."

Mr Buttercup asked,"When can we take our daughter home??"

Van said,"You can take her home tomorrow.As soon as the mortuary comes to pick her up."

Both the Buttercups and SilverStar thanked Van and Big Mac.Then Big Mac drove them back to Ponyville.To their motel.Afterward,he went to see Princess Twilight,and get a search warrant.And then went to Hayburger for lunch.

Meanwhile.Lonny was at the crime lab at Police Headquarters waiting for Spy Glass to anyilize the jar of "Boops for Stuff"cold cream.As Lonny waited,he went to lunch at a diner across the street.When he returned.Lonny went back to the crime lab.

Lonny asked,"Hey Spy.You done testing the cold cream??"

Spy replied,"Oh yeah and you are not gonna believe this."

Spy handed his report to Lonny.His eyes went wide when he read it.And he shook his head in total disbelief.

Lonny asked,"Are you sure about this Spy??"

Spy replied,"you bet.Theres enough turpintine in this stuff to kill a Manticore 20 times over."

Lonny said,"OK.Thanks a lot Spy."

Lonny left Headquarters and drove back to Ponyville.When he got back to Ponyville Barracks.Lonny went upstairs and saw his brother in law/partner walking to him,with Officer Newman in tow.

Big Mac said,"Come on brother.We need to serve a search warrant."

Lonny asked,What I miss,while I was out??"

Big Mac replied,"Ah'll explain on the way."

Lonny and Big Mac were driven by Officer Newman in a blue and white.Big Mac explained the situation.And 15 minutes later,they arrived at Chatterboxes apartment building.And all 3 walked upstairs,to Apt 2B.

Lonny said,"You better be sure about this Bro.If this goes sour,it's both our asses."

Big Mac replied,Don't worry.Ah am sure."

Lonny.Big Mac and Officer Newman walked up to the door and Big Mac knocked really hard.

BAM BAM BAM!!!!

Big Mac yelled,"OPEN THE DOOR MS. CHATTERBOX!!!!POLICE!!!!

The door opened and Chatterbox saw the 3 police officers and said,"What do you want now??"

Big Mac said,"Step away from the door."

As the 3 entered the apartment.Chatterbox was upset and said,"You don't have any right to come in here."

Big Mac reached into his jacket pocket and said,"Ya'all see this??This here is a search warrant.Signed by Princess Twilight Sparkle herself.Now I'm gonna ask you one time.Where's the necklace ya stole from Blu Buttercup's apartment??"

Chatterbox replied,"I have no fucking idea,what your talking about."

Lonny then said,"Look.If I have to.I'll call the barracks and get about a dozen officers over here and we will tear this place apart.So answer my partners question.Where....is...the...necklace???"

Chatter box pointed with her snout to a box on the coffee table.Big Mac opened it and found the necklace he was looking for.The red earth pony police detective looked at Chatterbox and said,"Ma'am.Ya'all are under arrest for Burglary.Theft from a crime scene,and tampering with evidence.He then looked at Newman and said,"Newman.Cuff this mare,read her her rights and git her in the car."

Newman replied,"Yes sir."And put her handcuffs on Chatterbox and said,"Ma'am.You have the right to remain silent.If you give up this right.Anything you say,can and will be used against you,in a court of law.You have the right to speak to an attorney and allowed to have an attorney present,during questioning.If you so desire and cannot afford one.An attorney will be provided for you,without charge before questioning.Do you understand these rights as I have read them to you??"

Chatterbox replied,"Yeah.I do.And I want a lawyer."

Big Mac said,"And I reckon,ya'all be needin one.Lets go.

The apartment was closed and locked.Chatterboxes neighbors watched as she was led away and put into the police cruiser by Officer Newman.After securing their prisoner.Newman got in on the drivers side.Big Mac riding shotgun.Lonny in the back with Chatterbox.And drove back to Ponyville Barracks,and she was booked,fingerprinted,mug shots were taken,given her one phone call,and Chatterbox was put in a holding cell,until she could be picked up by van,and transported to "The mares wing of the city jaIl.

Chapter 10.Big Mac takes SilverStar and The Buttercups to the M.E.for the part of the job,he and every cop hates.

Lonny finds out the stuff Boops for Stuff puts in their products.

Lonny and Big Mac make an arrest later on.
