Lonny and Big Mac were at thier desks and typing up their reports.Lonny was typing an updated General Case Report.Big Mac was typing an Arrest Booking Report on Chatterbox.After they were done,Lonny and Big Mac went to Captain Goldtalons office to give him an update.When they entered Goldtalons office.He looked at his 2 detectives.

Goldtalon asked,"Allright boys.What's the latest??"

Big Mac said,"Well.We busted Ms Chatterbox a couple of hours ago.For burglary.Theft from a crime scen.And tampering with evidence.I just finished the booking report.Ahh ran her through R & I.She's got 1 conviction for shoplifting back in 2015."

Goldtalon said,"So we got her for Burglary,with a prior.She could get at least 10 years just for that alone."

Big Mac replied,"Eyup,but Ahh think she saw something,the night of the murder.And once she realizes that she could go to prison for a long time.She might be compleled to talk."

Lonny then said,"I heard her mouthpiece is talking to her now."

Just then there was a knock on the door.Goldtalon said,"Come in."

Another Griffon named Legal Eagle entered the office.A lawyer who changed his name came in and spoke.

Legal Eagle said,"Gentlecolts.I have just spoken to my client.And she has a story to tell,but only if she gets some kind of deal."

Goldtalon said,"Any deal she makes will be with The D.A. counsoler,you know that."

Legal Eagle replied,"Then I suggest you call The D.A.s Office and get somepony down here."

Lonny said,"I'll do it.I think Sunset Shimmer is on call."

Lonny went to his desk and made a call.He said,"Sunset......Lonny Williams..........I'm fine...And Applejack is fine.......Yeah.Listen Big Mac and I need you down here at Ponyville Barracks........We busted somepony for about 3 felonies,but she's a possible witness to a homicide that Big Mac and I caught..And according to her lawyer..she'll only talk if she gets a deal..........You will......Good.....I'll let me Captain know......OK....See you soon.....Bye."

About an hour later Sunset Shimmer,an Assistant D.A. with "THE GREATER CANTERLOT DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE"arrived and flashed her D.A.s office badge to Sergeant Coogan and went upstairs to the squad room.

Sunset saw Lonny and said,"Hey Lonny.Here I am."

Lonny said,"Hey Sunset.Right this way."

As Sunset,and Lonny went to Captain Goldtalons office.She greeted Big Mac.Captain Goldtalon,and Legal Eagle.Then she read the Arrest/Booking Report on Chatterbox.As well as her criminal record.Sunset considered all options,that were on the table.

Sunset said,"So.Let me see if I get this right.Your client has information,that will aid Sergeant Williams and Detective Apple in their investigation,but she will only talk,if she has a deal.Is that correct Mr Eagle??"

Legal Eagle replied,"Yes.We get a deal on the table.She talks."

Sunset looked at Lonny and asked,"Is her information that important Sergeant??"

Lonny replied,"I can't say one way or the other,but if my partner say she saw something,he's usually right.And I have to back his play."

Sunset looked at Legal Eagle and said,"Let's see.Ummm.Burglay.Theft from a crime scene.Tampering with evidence.And she has a prior,that doesn't help.Hmmmmm.OK.If she talks,and it's credible.We'll let her plead guilty to 1 count of B&E.We'll recommend probation,and community service.After she spends 6 months in jail,I'll try to get her to The Honor Farm in Sound good??"

Legal Eagle replied,"I'll talk to mt client,and see what see says."

The Griffon lawyer went back downstairs to the holding cells.He cam back 10 minutes later.and walked up and spoke.

Legal Eagle said,"My client says,she'll take the deal.6 months in "The Dungeon"is alot better than 30 years in "Badlands",so she will talk."

Captain Goldtalon looked at his watch and said,"Well they're just now serving dinner,so we'll wait till after she eats."Goldtalon then looked at Lonny and Big Mac and said,"And you guys should get some dinner yourselves.It's gonna be an all nighter."

Lonny said,"Yes sir,but first I gotta call Applejack."

Big Mac looked at Sunset Shimmer and asked,"Ya care ta join us counsoler??"

Sunset Shimmer replied,"Yeah.Why not."

Lonny called Applejack and told his mare,that he and Big Mac were pulling an all nighter.After he hung up.Lonny.Big Mac with Sunset Shimmer holding the red earth ponys arm.All headed out to dinner.When they returned,with the lawyers present.Chatterbox told Lonny and Big Mac what she saw the night Blu Buttercup was murdered.

Later that night in the parking lot of "Barnyard Bargins"Equestrias national department store chain.Rose Petal was in her car waiting for the ponies she did her shady business with to show up and pay her the money she wanted so she could disappear.She smoked a cigarette and waited,then a "Pinto"Station Wagon arrived with what she saw were 3 ponies inside.One pony came out and walked up to the car.on the passenger side.And Rose Petal rolled down her window and said,"Well it's about time.Where's my money??"The second pony got out of the vehicle without Rose Petal seeing him.As she was distracted when the pony she was talking to opened a bag full of money.Her mouth watered as she looked at all that cash.The other pony snuck up on the drivers side and then....

BOOM!!!!!BOOM!!!!!

2 .12 Gauge buckshot rounds turned Rose Petals head into red colored pulp,as the .32 caliber sized pellets ripped through flesh and bone.The 2 ponies went back to their car and drove away in the night.However their luck was about to run out.A homeless Diamond Dog saw the whole thing,and hid in the shadows until the "Pinto"drove away.The Diamond Dog went onto the street and flagged down the first blue and white he saw.

Meanwhile back at Ponyville Barracks.Lonny and Big Mac were asleep in the sleeping room,that officers who worked very late could sleep there at the barracks instead of trying to drive home.Lonny was in one bunk and Big Mac was sleeping in another on in the corner.And were sleeping soundly.Then Office Marble Brownie.A unicorn male officer opened the door and quietly walked in and went up to the bed Lonny was sleeping on,and gently shook him and said,"Sergeant Williams....Sergeant Williams...Wake up."

Lonny woke up and said,"Brownie.What do you want??"

Brownie replied,"Sorry to wake you Sergeant,but we have a body in a car in the parking lot of "Barnyard Bargins".The victim was indentified as one Rose Petal."

Lonny looked at Brownie and said,"Ahh shit.Allright.Go get 2 cups of coffee and doughnuts,if there are any left."

Brownie replied,"Yes sir"and left the room.

Lonny then got off the bunkbed and walked over to his partner and shook him and said,"Come on Bro.Wake your red ass up."

Big Mac stirred and woke up and asked,"What's goin on Brother??"

Lonny replied."Rose Petal just got her head blown off over at "Barnyard Bargins"We gotta go."

Soon after getting themselves together.Lonny and Big Mac drank their coffee,ate their doughnuts and left to "Barnyard Bargins"and they wern't going there to shop.
