Princess Twilight Sparkle was in The Crystal Empire with Spike the dragon.visiting Her brother,Shining Armor.Her sister in law Princess Cadence.And their daughter Twilight's niece Princess Flurry Heart.The family arrived back at the castle and had a wonderful day out.The the phone rang.One of the castles servants answered it."Crystal Palace.How may I help you........One moment please."The servant walked up and said,"Excuse me Princess Twilight.There is a phone call for you.From Ponyville."

Twilight sighed and replied,"It's one of my friends.I guess they miss me."

Twilight walked up to the phone and said,"This is Twilight.....Oh hi Rarity....Everything allright???........What???.........Oh no......Who's working the case???.....Lonny and Big Mac??.....Good......What.......Oh Sweet Celestia.....Is she allright???.....Oh dear....That's not good.....I'll call Princess Celestia and let her know........OK.....Spike and I are on the next flight home.....OK....Thanks Rarity......I'll see you soon......OK.Bye."

Shining Armor looked at his sister and asked,"Everything OK there Twilly??"

Twilight replied,"No.2 people were murdered in broad daylight in The Ponyville Town Center."

Shining asked,"How were they killed??"

Twilight replied,"According to Rarity.They were both shot with arrows,and Lonny and Big Mac are on the case,but there is a problem."

Cadence asked,"What problem Sis in law??"

Twilight answered,"Pinkie saw the whole crime happen,and now she is having a mental episode."

Spike then asked,"Is Pinkie gonna be allright??"

Twlight replied,"I don't know Spike,but right now.Call the airlines.We need the next flight home.After that.Call Princess Celestia.I need to talk to her."

Just as Spike was dailing the phone.Shining said,"Hey Spike.You'd better make reservations for 3.I'm going with you guys."

Cadence asked,"Why Shining??"

Shining replied,"Because.I think I can help Lonny and Big Mac,and if I'm right.They're gonna need it."

Meanwhile.Back in Ponyville.Lonny and Big Mac were at Ponyville Community Hospital.They walked in and Nurse Sweetheart directed them to the room Pinkie-Pie was in.They walked in the room and saw the pink earth pony,who was always so energetic and bubbilly,laying on a bed.Her hands in restraints.Her coat was a darker shade of pink.Her mane was as flat as a pool table.She didn't know that her friends were there.All she kept saying was."those poor people....so much blood....so much blood....those poor people."

Lonny motioned for Applejack to join him and Big Mac outside,When the orange earth pony walked outside,she hugged her husband.And she and Lonny held each other.Lonny could feel the tears from Applejack on his shirt.Lonny asked,"Why is she in restraints??

Applejack replied,"Because Pinkie tried ta kill herself when she was bein brought in.They don't know why Pinkie ended up like this.The doctors put her on suicide watch.I called Uncle Clyde.He and the rest of the Pie's are comin in from The Rock Farm.They'll be here by tomorrow."

Just then.Doctor Scalpel.A earth pony whose cutie mark was a scalpel,hence the name. came out from the room.Lonny and Big Mac saw him and walked up.

Lonny asked,"Doc.How is Pinkie??Will she be able to talk to us??"

The doctor answered,"I'm sorry fellas.We had to sedate Ms.Pie.She was trying to hurt herself,when the paramedics brought her in."

Big Mac asked,"When will she come out of it Doc??She's the material witness ta a double homicide."

Doctor Scalpel replied,"Look you gotta understand.Mental health is complex and hard to diaignose.And in Miss Pies case.I just don't know.Lonny.I would like you to call your Aunt Megan.Maybe she can help."

Just then Big Mac's pager went off.He checked it and said,"Excuse me.",and went to a pay phone.

Lonny then said,"Sure doc.I'll call her when I get to the barracks."

Big Mac walked up,looked at Lonny and said,"We gotta go brother.Spy's got somethin."

Lonny and Big Mac walked up to the 2 senior police officers.Lonny said,"Captain.Chief."

Goldtalon said,"Lonny.Any word on Pinkie-Pie??"

Lonny said,"Applejack told me,that Pinkie tried to kill herself.Doctor Scalpel had to sedate her,and she's on suicide watch."

Chief Dream said,"Oh.That's not good.Anypony know if Princess Celestia has been notified yet??"

Lonny said,"I don't know,but all of "The Elements of Harmony"are all very close.So it's a safe bet she knows."

Chief Dream then asked,"Williams.Isn't Princess Celestia you're Godmother??"

Lonny replied,"Yes ma'am.She is.She's been friends with my family,since they came to Equestria from Earth more than 35 years ago.And we're very close."

Chief Dream said,"Good.Since this case involves an "Element of Harmony"and this may also be a hate crime.So I want you to inform the Princess.And keep her updated.Understood??"

Lonny replied,"Yes ma'am"

Chief Dream then said,"And now if you will excuse me.I have to get ready to handle the press.And Mayor Mare."

Captain Goldtalon looked at his men and said,"OK.Lonny.Big Mac.Back to work."

Lonny and Big Mac went to the building that Lonny sent Spy Glass to . When they walked in the building looked like it had seen better days .They saw Officer Newman standing post at the door . To keep away lookylews , as well as the press.

Lonny asked,"Where is everypony at Newman ? "

Newman replied,Spy Glass and hid techs are on the third floor Sergeant .They all waiting for you."

Lonny said,"OK.Good,stay down here,and later on.Go to Ponyville Community.Keep an eye on Pinkie-Pie.I wanna know if she snaps out of her mental episode.I'll clear it with Coogan."

Newman nodded,Lonny and Big Mac went up to the third floor.And they saw Spy Glass and his boys going over the room they were in.Taking photos,dusting for prints,and finding forensic evidence.

Lonny said,"OK Spy. What have you got??"

Spy Glass replied,"Plenty Lonny.We found a bunch of prints.And we found this." Spy pointed at the window and said,"The window had 2 pieces of glass busted out."

Spy then pointed at a table and said,"And this is where I believe the shooter used as his or her perch."

Big Mac asked,"And what do ya base that on Spy??"

Spy Glass pointed to the table and replied,"We found some fibers on the table,we'll look them over at the lab. And see these indentations on the edge of the table??"

Big Mac said,"Eyup."

Spy Glass said,"I think,because of the fact that these dents are both in a horizontal line,tells us."

Lonny said,"A bipod."

Spy Glass said,"Bingo.You win the booby prize."

Big Mac then said,"OK.So our shooter used a bipod, but that still doesn't explain how the shooter got two shots off from a crossbow,in that quick amount of time. Last time I checked. It takes a couple a minutes ta reload one of those."

Lonny replied,"Yeah Bro.That part we need to figure out."
