Rainbow Dash’s P.O.V.

Rainbow Dash carefully climbed the stairs to the loft of the barn, pausing only slightly when she heard the sound of crying. When she reached the top of the stairs, she looked around, and upon seeing nobody, fully entered the loft. Rainbow looked around once more, and saw a bit of blue and purple in the corner. Upon approaching, she noticed the crying getting louder. When she reached the blue-and-purple haired girl, she rested her hand on the girl’s shoulder.

“Hey Dawning Moon,” Rainbow started, sitting beside her, “It’s going to be okay.”

“N-no it won’t,” Dawning replied, her voice shaky, “Not only did I lose one of my crushes, b-but now that I found her, I’m going to lose Speda again.”

“Hey now,” Rainbow exclaimed, “Don’t look at it like that!”

“How am I supposed to look at it?”

“Think of it like this,” Rainbow responded, pulling Dawning Moon close to her, “You finally found the love of your life! And guess what? She loves you too!”

“R-really?” Dawning asked, a slight blush spreading across her face.

“Yeah! The only problem is Emerald, now. All you need to do about that is tell her why you disappeared, and show her that you’ve changed!”

“Are you sure that will work?” Dawning inquired, doubtful.

“Of course it will!” Rainbow replied, “Just trust me on this, alright?”

“Alright!” Dawning Moon replied, confident, “Oh, and Rainbow?”

“Yes?” The prismatic-haired girl replied.

“Thank you.” With that, Dawning gave Rainbow Dash a small peck on the cheek, before walking down the stairs,

“Y-you’re welcome?” Rainbow stuttered, blushing heavily.

Sunset Shimmer’s P.O.V.

As Sunset Shimmer exited the barn, she suddenly felt waves of magic flood over her, nearly knocking her off of her feet and into the wall behind her with the force of each wave. As Sunset stood there, she tried to make sense of her surroundings. Once she had a rough idea of where she was, she started walking toward the source of the energy, only to be launched into the wall. Upon regaining her footing and shaking off the dizziness from such a blow, Sunset opened her eyes and tried to find the center of the maelstrom. What she saw at the center, however, terrified her. In the corner of the barn’s patio was Emerald Breeze, her hair whipping around in the wind. What terrified Sunset, however, was the dark aura surrounding Emerald. Above Emerald’s head was a glowing heart. The left half of it was a mix of green and yellow, while the right half was inverted and pitch-black. As she watched, veins of black spread through the green and yellow side.

“Emerald!” Sunset shouted, “You need to calm down!”

“Who’s there?” Came the reply, the magical hurricane wrapping tightly around Emerald, hiding her from view with the ferocity with which the magic wind swirled.

“It’s me, Sunset!” Sunset replied, “I want to help you!” At that, the magic stopped in place, before fading away.

As soon as the magic was gone, Sunset ran forward and embraced her friend in a tight hug.

“It’s okay, Emerald,” Sunset whispered, “Everything’s going to be alright.”

“No, it’s not.” Emerald replied, “I remember how much it hurt Speda when Dawning Moon left. I even offered to erase Dawning from her memories to ease her pain, but she refused, said something about not wanting to give up on Dawning. Even though Speda refused to give up on her, I did. I gave up on Dawning Moon and swore that if she ever came back, I would make her pay for what she did. Now, she’s here, so I’ll make her prove that she won’t abandon Speda again, or she’ll pay for it.”

“I can’t say I agree with this,” Sunset stated, “But I’ll stay by your side, no matter what happens.”

“Why would you do that for me?” Emerald asked, “I’d probably just end up hurting you.”

“Because that’s what friends are for.” Sunset replied.

“Thank you.” Emerald whispered, snuggling closer to Sunset.

“Anything for you.” Sunset replied, holding her friend close to her.

The two stayed there, wrapped in each other’s embrace, for a bit, until Emerald stood up, pulling Sunset with her, and headed toward the door.

“Where are you going?” Sunset asked.

“I need to talk to Dawning Moon.” Emerald replied, walking through the door, Sunset following shortly after.

What neither of them noticed was the black veins receding from the left side of Emerald’s SOUL.

Author's Note

I hope you all enjoyed this chapter of Yu-Gi-Oh! Equestria Duels. Before I get comments about it, there is a bit of inspiration taken from UNDERTALE, but don’t expect any cameos. (At least not yet.) Also, I know that I said that last chapter’s Decklist and themes were the final list, but I had to make one last change.
Decklist:

Soundtrack (P.S. Click the Song to listen to it.):

That concludes my list! See ya later!
