Twilight Sparkle, a wiry pretty boy stallion, is far too preoccupied with unlocking the magical mysteries of the cosmos and his own fear of intimacy by burying himself in his studies to make friends. However, when he stumbles across an impending catastrophe that nopony else seems ready to take seriously, he'll have to band together with some truly eccentric (if not outright insane) other stallions to save the day... Even if the only magical artifacts capable of averting said catastrophe insist on being wielded only by mares, as well as including some other rather inconvenient fine print.
