Moon POV

I looked over some of the plans for security at the summit as we finished with our training for the day. Putting them down I waved over the others so we could go over what everypony would be doing.

"All right. So after lookin' all this over Mist will be actin' as the cap. for us so it looks like we are still in school. Mist will be with the princess durin' the meetin'. The rest of use will be out with the other kingdoms guards. Ranks are goin' to be Captain Glaive, Lieutenant Rune, Sergeant Scootaloo, and Specialist's Dawn and Midnight Shield." I said looking from one to the other giving them time to sink in.

"So did you come up with that or did somepony else?" Dawn asked with a tilt of his head.

"That would be my doing my little pony." We all look to the side to see mum coming in the to room with Light not to far behind.

"Princess!" We all said giving her a salute.

"You can all relax. Now I came down to get see if you are all ready for today. The reports that your captain has given me over the last two weeks has shown me that you have all been making great progress with not only your magic but guard training as well." Mum gave us a small smile before continuing. "Now the reason that I have set up the ranks the way that they are is so if any thing happens then you shouldn't have to worry."

"Any thing we should watch out for princess?" Mist asked.

Thinking for a moment mum lets out a sigh. "Most you will have to deal with is how each nation's guard holds themself. The griffins will try and get a reaction out of you so may the dragons and diamond dog."

"We should be fine." Dawn said elbowing his sister.

"Good I will leave you to it then see you all in 2 hours." Mum left the training room leaving us to get ready.

We got all our gear and went to the throne room to meet mum and aunt Tia. The door to the room opened and Gleaming and some of the ponies for class all in standard sol armor. I watched as she had them stand on aunt Tia's side of the room. I looked over to Mist who only gave me a shrug and walked over to Gleam.

"Sup Gleam. Whats with da scrubs?" Mist asked Gleam pointing to the new ponies.

"They are the cadets from the school just like the four that princess Luna has you training. Hows that going by the way?" Gleam told her.

Before Mist got the chance to replay the doors opened and the princesses and elements of harmony entered the room.

"Greetings my little ponies. I'm glad that you could all join us today. As you all know today the summit is going to be held in which leaders and representatives from all over will be joining us in the castle with there guards." Aunt Tia said looking to mum.

"As your captains should have told you what rolls you will be playing today as this will be the first real assignment you will be undertaking in your roles as guard of ether the solar guard for my sister or the lunar guard for myself." Mum gave us a smile before nodding back to aunt Tia.

"Now then since this is the first time both groups have been in the same spot I think our captains should introduce them to us sister." Aunt Tia smiled getting a nod from mum.

Gleam took a step forward "Princess I would like you to meet our new cadets Private Strong Wing, Private Arrow Head, Private Solid Iron, Private Shattered Blade, Private Iron Heart and Private Blind Wind."

"Looks like it's my turn." Mist whispered "That was a good intro Gleam so now I would like you to meet Lieutenant Moon Rune, Sergeant Scootaloo, and Specialist's Dawn and Midnight Shield of the Shadow Guard."

"Captain Shield I couldn't help but notes that none of your cadets have a rank higher then private is there a reason for that?" Aunt Tia asked Gleaming .

"The reason for that princess is that the cadets have only been with us for a little over two weeks to even get a higher rank they would have to have been here for longer then that. To be blunt they have yet to earn a higher rank." Gleam looks form Aunt Tia to the ponies behind her.

"And what about your ponies Captain Glaive?" Mum asked trying hard not to break her royal mask.

"Ya want the long or short version Princess Luna?"

"The short will do Captain." Mum said with a nod.

"Right then let me think. Four manticores, two chimeras, eight cockatries, two hydras, and forty or so timber wolves. That's what got them ranks the trainin' that I have them goin' into is not for the soft of heart." Mist told them and the reactions for everypony made it hard not to laugh.

"That doesn't seem to safe." Aunt Tia voiced a little worried.

"It isn't sister but from the results the unit has gotten the training is working and keeping our ponies safe." Mum said with a sigh.

The door to the throne room opened and Spitfire walked in.

"Princesses the guests have started to show up." Spitfire said.

Aunt Tia and Mum nodded "Then let us be off to see our guests."

We all walked to the meeting room. Gleaming and Mist went with the princesses the rest of us lined the halls. Spitfire unlike the rest relaxed leaning on the wall. My group and I did the same as we like the wonderbolts don't have a as strict ruling with what we do. Slowly leaders and reps from other lands started to show up little by little each race had somebeing as a voice in the meeting.

The first to show up was the Dragon Princess Ember. the next was the Kitsune Prince Orin, then the Minotaur ambassador Iron Hoof, the Diamond Dog Queen Ruby Edge, The ambassador form the Zebras and so on. The last to show up was the Griffin Queen Diamond Wing.

A little after everybeing was in the meeting the griffin General started to harass guards form other lands till one of his guards interrupted him.

"Have you any idea of were that mutt is with my refreshments?" The general asked one of his griffins.

"Sir we have no clue for all we know its lost in the castle. should we send a griff to find it?" The guard asked.

"No, if it doesn't show up by the time the meeting is over it will get a fitting punishment." The general said letting a malicious smirk cross his beak.

I looked over to Scoots. "Sergeant I'm goin' ta go get some food, I'll have Erebus come and join ya."

Scoots gave me a nod as i walked off to the kitchen and to find this being that the griffins are talking about. Passing the corner of the hall and out of sight of all the guards Erebus comes out of my shadow and in her bipedal form. Parting ways I speed walk to the kitchen only to find the maids fussing over something by the door.

"What is happin' here?!" I asked getting the attention of the maids and some of the cooks.

"Sorry all the noise ma'am it's just that we found this filly heading to the kitchen to get something for a griffin. We are trying to get her to sit down and eat some food, she looks like she could use it and get some clothing other then the rags she has." One of the maids told me be for moving to the side for me to see the filly in question.

Once the maids gave me the room to see the filly I stopped dead in my tracks and could only stare at her with wide eyes. Standing in front of me was no filly but a wolf pup maybe about 5 or 6, dark brown hair, umber fur, blue eyes. She did the same as me just looking at me but not with curiosity like me but in fear that she might have done something wrong. I finally snapped out of my daze and moved towards her but stopped when she backed up.

"Feicim" I whisper taking a step back. I take notice that her ears perk at me speaking wolf.

I shift to my wolf form so that she might relax a little which to my surprise she does. Now with her giving me curios looks I take my jacket off and move closer to her at a slow pace. Getting a good few paces from her I lift my jacket and rap it around her which she flinches at first and closes her eyes.

Putting the jacket one her shoulders I gave her my best version of Aunt Tia's smile. "No harm will come to ya cuileain."

She looked up at me with big eyes filled with wonder.

She looked at the jacket on her shoulders before looking at me. "But master will get mad if I take this." She said in a small voice.

"He has no say in what happens in this castle." I hold out my hand to her.

"Will you take me back to him please?" Hearing that hurt my heart that she would go back you the one that treats her like a tool.

Nodding to her we got her the drinks and food that the griffin was asking for then we made our way back to them and the others. Making the trip in silence we made good time back with nopony stopping us.

Scootaloo POV

'I don't see how Moon can put up with others like this? Thank the goddess for training us Moon.' Me and the Twins watched as the griffins bugged the other guards most just ignored them but some gave reactions. The new sol guards had the most reaction and Spitfire just watched in amusement.

"If this is the state of Equestria then I don't see how you are still standing?" The griffin general said.

"Equestria is still standin' thanks ta knowin' how ta make allies." Moon said walking around the corner with what looked like a wolf pup.

"So this is what was taking so long you found another mutt like yourself. Now come over and give me what you were told to get." The griffin general called to the pup.

The little wolf only moved further behind moon

"You will do as commanded or you will be punished!!" The griffin shouted.

Moon took the drink from the pup and held it out to the griffin. "Have your damned dink ya blood feather duster." She then dropped it at his paws when he went to take it.

"You have some nerve you bitch! Do you know who your insulting!!" The general growled out at Moon.

"Yea da overgrown turkey da't is Black Beak, griffin general."

Moon POV

I watch as the over grown bird went of on a rant about how he should be respected for all the tings that he was know for. It got to the point that I was going to stop him but somepony from behind us got to him first.

"I think your over stepping the authority you think you have in Equestria." Looking to the voice I saw 5 cloaked figures.

"And who are you to tell me what I can and can't do!!" Black beak yelled at them.

As the group got closer to me and the pup I moved her behind me "Well he came to talk to the leaders of the world, but your yelling is getting in the way." The one in front said.

"I will not be talked down to by lesser beings!!" Black beak yelled grabbing the handle of his sword.

"Enough" I yelled using the RCV stopping the two of them. "Under the article of peace any individual dat is attendin' a summit they must identify them self. You Black beak are another story ya know dat no weapons can be drawn durin' the presidin' of the event." I told them with a glare that promised pain if they did not comply.

"Tsk. Fine but this is far from over." Black beak said walking to the side of the hall.

"Well said Princess of the lunar Wolves." The cloaked groups leader told me.

My mind came to a screeching halt as the words that i just heard hit me like a runaway cart. Slowly I turn my head to face the group and watch them take the cloaks off. The first was a female with white fur and black hair with blue eyes. The second was and female with black fur and hair with red eyes. The third was a male with white fur with black hair and eyes. The forth was a small female with dark brown fur umber hair and gold eyes.The leader was a male wolf dark brown fur silver hair and blue gray eyes. The group all had light leather armor and weapons of different kinds.

The leader walked up to me and rubbed the top of my head. "Long time no see sis." He said with a smile on his face.

"Fang" I whispered

"We will have to talk after the meeting is over." He turned and looked at the rest of the wolves that were with him. "You are all to follow anything that she tells you."

I watched as he walked away and into the meeting room with the other leaders. Looking down I see the pup looking around the hall at all the different races. Leaning down I pick her up and carry her over to my team with the other wolves following.

"So 'princess of the lunar wolves'?" Scoots asks with a raised brow and small smirk.

"Well as far as it goes she is the next alpha of the clan. Her mother was called the 'Queen of the lunar wolves' but she left the pack and gave her spot to the current alpha." The white furred wolf.

"I want names." I say looking at the four of them.

"Well I'm Winter." The female white wolf said.

"I'm meán oíche or midnight." The black one said with a bow.

The male wolf walked up and looked at the pup I was holding. "I'm Von the group healer. You mind if I look her over?"

I look to the pup when she tightens her grip on me and give her a smile. "Its all right sweetie, no bein' is goin' ta hurt ya with me around." She gave me a small nod and I set her down and held her hand as Von looked her over.

"So your her huh? Your the one that Fang calls sister?" The last one says looking me over with a critical eye. "Well I'm Nox."

When Von gets done looking over the pup he starts to dig around in his bag. He pulls out some potions and hands them to me.

"Well she looks to be under weight and could use some more fluids. The potions will help her but will knock her out when drunk." He gives her and me a sad smile. "She should not have had to live like that. I know its not my place but please tell me that he will not get away with this?"

"No lad, he will pay for this and Oi'll make him pay with his life." I waved Scoots over to me and handed her the potions.

As time went by the wolves and my team talked as we waited for the nation leader to finish talking. Me and the little wolf talked about what would be happening to her now that she would not be going back with Black beck. She wanted to stay with me and my team, I told her that it was up to Princess Luna. We talked about names so she could have one. Going for about three hours we got down to two names Selene or Dusk.

The doors to the meeting room opened and the leaders all went about leaving back to there nations. The last to leave the room are the Princesses, Fang and Queen Diamond Wing.

"General Black beak would you care to tell me why you have a slave with you?" Queen Diamond Wing asked.

"My Queen I know that the law has changed but anygriff that had any could keep them but could no longer buy more." Black beak hold her. "Princesses, My Queen if anything we should handle this in the old way. A duel for the right to keep a slave or lose them to another."

Mum looked at his with the fury only a angry mother could and most of the ponies, wolves and griffins took a step or two back from her. "You would dare to have a fight to the death with one of my night guard for the rights to a life that you have none to!?"

"Oi'll fight him." I say getting the attention of the mum, aunt Tia and the queen, with a head shack from Fang. "If he thinks dat Oi will let him walk away den hes wrong. Oi'm going ta kill him and no force on Eques will stop me."

Black beak scoffed and grinned down to me. "If you really think you can win your out of your mind. I will take this duel and show you were your place is."

Mum sighs and looks at the two of us. "The two of you will have two hours to get ready and we will use the guard arena for the dual." Mum turns and leading the way to the arena as the Black beak heads off to get his things for the fight.

So yea sorry for the long wait but work keeps getting in the way of letting me have much free time for it took me some time to update the story. On the other hand I will be trying to get another chapter out my the end of the weekend or early monday.
