Dragon on the Moon
The Lunar Galaxy
Previous ChapterNext ChapterWhen Spike and Luna got back to the apartment, they both immediately headed for Spike's room. They needed to log into Dream Realm. Spike hopped onto his computer and started it up, while Luna was getting her laptop ready. The only thing they needed was the Wi-Fi password for Luna. "Spike, what's the Wi-Fi password?" Asked Luna.
Spike groaned, when Twilight first moved in, the place didn't have a router, but it did have service, so after she bought a router, she did the most Twilight thing ever. She named it Avogadro and set the password to be his number. "6.02214076×10^23." Said Spike.
Luna looked at Spike, she wasn't sure if he was serious. "Why in the hell is it that?" Asked Luna, she didn't know what the number was, she had a literary degree, not a chemistry one.
Spike sighed. "It's Avogadro's number, it stands for the number of atoms in a single mole of an element." Spike looked at Luna. "This is what happens when you live with my sister for more than a week, you just start absorbing this stuff out of the air."
Luna giggled. "Oh, don't give me that, if it wasn't for that learning style, we would be at the table right now, but instead of that, we fucked, went on a little date, and now we're relaxing."
Spike sighed as he nodded. "Yeah, I guess that's the payout." Said Spike.
Luna in her confusion forgot to enter the password, she looked at Spike sheepishly. "Spike, what was the password again?" Spike groaned.
Once everyone was connected and logged in, both players entered Dream Realm. "Ok Lunar, let's head to the closest market and stock up." Said Dracon.
Luna nodded. "Of course, Dracon. Should we head into troll market for the daily rare potion, we should have enough gold?" Lunar was the party's money manager, and the one with the highest bartering skill, because of her intelligence level. Witches and Wizards were some of the smartest classes, but their HP was only above your standard demon. They made up for that with their increased stat boost from magical apparel. Right now, Lunar was in her lv 100 robe and not the skimpy one. This one granted her 20% faster magical regeneration, times every 10 levels the character was. Lunar being level 150, she had MP regeneration at 300%. Her health stat gained a massive boost as well, with 10 points of HP for every level, plus 5% regeneration per 5 levels. Lunars health stats were normally 1560 HP, but with her robe on, she was a massive 2560, which nearly matched a naked Dracon's HP level. Next was its intelligence skill boosts, it added 3 points to spell casting, which lowers the time it takes to cast a spell, 4 points on dialog checks for more loot after completing a quest, 2 points in XP gain, this grants the wearer a 15% boost to XP earned, which wasn't much help anymore, but when Lunar reached level 100, it shot her up to 110 in a few weeks. But the reason she still has it, is because it grants a 5% XP boost to all party members. Lastly it granted her a 75% effectiveness on all defensive spells and potions.
Dracon on the other hand was the team tank and damage dealer, his race's attributes were the same as a caveman's, stronger than average, but below average intelligence. His base HP was 2750 points, when he was naked, but with his dragon scale steel armor on, that was boosted by his dragon race, granted him a massive 75% damage reduction on all physical attacks, and a 40% on all magical attacks. Invulnerability to Ice, poison, and fire weapons, but not elemental arrows above level 100. It was also the lightest heavy armor set in the game, because Dragon Scale Steel is made from an earth dragon that has shed its skin and had it forged into a piece of armor. So, while his race had a massive strength boost naturally, adding on his armor, great sword, gear, supplies, potions, miscellaneous junk that he could sell, and all of Lunar's stuff, Dracon became over encumbered rather quickly. But when he forged this armor after a level 130 quest, he stored all his other armor in a chest and stuck with this one. Which freed up a lot of carrying room. Spike nodded. "Yeah, I'm betting it’s a restoration potion today."
Lunar hummed as she and Dracon arrived at a staircase in the mountain where the raid boss was located. "Nah, I think it's going to be a carry capacity potion. How are you doing on that, my faithful pack mule?" Asked Lunar.
Spike gave Lunar an unamused chuckle. "I still have 200 points free; it should be enough for all the loot we should get." Said Dracon.
Lunar smiled. "Good." Said Lunar as she unequipped her wand. "I'll go to the market, you head to the smith and get our weapons repaired and recharged, I also wouldn't mind that little upgrade that we talked about." Said Lunar.
Dracon groaned. "That will completely drain my forging supplies and all my crystals, it took me all month to get them."
Luna smiled as she walked over to Spike. "Spike, if you do, I'll.... and then I'll.... and I don't mind swallowing... then we can..." Whispered Luna.
By the time Luna was done incentivizing Spike, Dracon was already at the smith shop. Luna giggled as she got back to her laptop. 'I had a feeling that he would like an ass job, then boob job, but I think he'll love being a little rougher.' Thought Luna as she moved Lunar to the large troll market.
After Lunar was done at the market, she had bought 10 full health potions, 5 iron wall potions, 3 MP potions, and the daily rare potion which was an intimidation potion that worked on all creatures 15 levels lower than the drinker. It was mostly for players to get to a boss and not have to deal with the little minions, but when you’re facing a group of hell demons that are level 140 that spawn in past the 10th floor of a 25 floor dungeon, it wasn't much help. But who knows? She walked over to the troll market smith shop and noticed that Dracon was working away at their gear. He was shirtless, sweating, and focused on the task at hand. While in the real world, Spike was mumbling to himself. "Ok, I take off my armor's enchantment crystals, it'll drop down the level up cost, but it also lowers the stat increase by a whole lot. What about my sword? If I take out it's fire crystal and exchange it for the explosion crystal, I take 10 points of damage per swing, but they take 600 damage per hit, 1500 if it crits. I could do a no enchantment armor level and a crystal exchange on the sword, but not one with the enchantment and exchange. Do we sacrifice defense for attack and hope we learn the boss's pattern, or do we go on the defense and learn it, then take longer to take him out?" Asked Spike. "Be the spear that breaks all defenses or the strong wall that can stop attacks form anything?"
Lunar giggled. "You're very cute when you’re thinking."
Dracon sputtered at the forge and his desk. He was so lost in thought that he didn't even notice he was talking to himself. "How long have you been there?" Asked Dracon.
"Um... I'm in the same room as you." Said Luna.
Spike groaned. "Sorry, I got lost in my own thoughts, but maybe you can help me. Attack or defense?" Asked Spike.
Luna hummed. "Let’s take a look at your inventory." Said Luna.
Spike opened his inventory. "I have enough materials for either a crystal exchange and a un enchanted armor level or an enchanted armor level and no exchange."
Luna hummed. "Ok, I bought some high-grade iron wall potions and I'll start off with buffing you with steel skin, then if you activate your dragon scale ability while wearing your armor, it should last two hours. I have some full health potions as well, so if you do the exchange you shouldn't have to worry about the damage knock back, just be on the lookout for counter runes on the demons. I'll have to take care of them." Said Luna.
Spike nodded. "Ok, I'll do the exchange and the armor level." Said Spike as he started the process. It would take five minutes for it to finish, something the developers thought would be a good idea so players could explore the towns. But instead Spike walked over to a smelter and a wood carving table. In Dream Realm, when a magic user wanted to upgrade his or her item, they needed to destroy it first to extract the magic focusing crystal inside. They could range from elemental affinity to MP cost reductions. But last year during the Christmas event, the devs gave each of the top players a special gift for being so great. The only problem was they didn't just give it out, instead the devs scattered them throughout the whole over world map, and programmed some of the hardest bosses, at the time, to guard them. It took Lunar, Dracon, and the top player, a druid named Sarina, 2 weeks just to locate each of their items, and another month before they were strong enough to beat the bosses.
Dracon got the Dragon's Fire great sword and shield. Which is the same one he uses to this day, it grants massive fire crystal buffs, while automatically defeating low level ice enemies, due to the amount of heat it emanated. Lunar got her wand, it was called The Lunar Star, and granted her the ability to use the spell 'Solar Body', it creates a sun or moon to debuff creatures that were weak to either. Then she could toss it at them for massive damage and possible instant kills. Sarina got a spell book, called The Forest, it was a AOE spell that she could use once a day to grow a forest around her, it created an army of tree soldiers that would just slaughter enemies, while healing herself and restoring her to full MP, and to top it all off, it would change the map for a month, creating little forests in very weird locations, like a desert, underground, in the ice mountain up north, and during the underwater update, underwater. Thankfully Sarina doesn't like to use the spell often, only during the special events where she needed to rest. Rumor has it, that she created a forest on the 20th level of the raid boss so she could be ready for him.
Back with Dracon, he placed Lunar's Lunar Star into the smelter and extracted its crystal. He then walked over to the wood station and placed It on it. "Ok, I'm using all my materials for this to make, we have 10000 year old elven forest bark, the sap of the mountain cherry tree, the crystal containing the 100 souls of the great Ran Yu's army, 10 dragon tear rocks, three shooting star fragments, 4 demon lord eyes, and the arm of the legendary chicken of mount Ringneau." Said Dracon. Each item was worth its digital weight in gold, and all of them were high level items that were unlocked at level 140 and above.
Luna was shocked that Spike had all of that in his inventory. "Spike where did you get all of that, I've never even heard about half of them?"
Spike shrugged. "I got bored a while ago and just walked around in stupid places, that's where I stumbled upon most of them. The Ringneau chicken was weird though, I had to give him 300 cooked chickens, which he ate, and then he ripped off his own arm and gave it to me, it wasn't even a quest, just a task in the miscellaneous page. Well worth the three days it took me to get it but weird none the less. I go by just to look at him and make sure that I wasn't seeing things, plus I named him Reggie." Said Spike as he started up the staff making process, but unlike the upgrade process, the new staff was finished instantly.
Dracon looked at the empty staff, since he created it, he had the honor of naming it. 'I have the perfect name for it.' Thought Spike. He typed the name 'The Lunar Galaxy'. It was a full height magical staff, with five deep night blue points, and three mini moons that created the look of a full moon at the top, the middle of the staff and the bottom. Dracon looked at the 8 magical crystal slots for the staff. One by one, he added the most powerful crystals he had between them. 'Ok, first will be her main crystal so she can use 'Solar Body', then the Deep Abyss crystal at the base for dark magic damage, Solar Fire crystal at the top for extreme fire and light damage. Blood Stone for health, Green Leaf for healing, Ice cannon for buffed ice damage and defense, the wolf soul crystal for summoning a spectral wolf pack, and lastly Dragon Heart, the fire crystal that came with my sword and shield.' Thought Spike, he moved all the crystals from his inventory to the staff and smiled at his work.
He left the table and looked at Lunar. "May I present to you, my dear Lunar, with one of the most powerful staffs in the game, a level 150, 8 crystal staff. I call it The Lunar Galaxy." Said Spike as he sent the item to Luna.
Luna looked at the staff and dropped her jaw at how powerful it was, it was miles ahead of her Lunar Star, she then looked at the item's description.
To the darkest moon and the brightest of all the stars, this staff is for the one that outshines them all, and the one that truly is the woman I love. From S. 'Dracon'. D. (Spike Dracon Drake)
Luna was silent as she looked at the staff. They game's system displayed its value, it was 27.8 billion gold, and thanks to the shop for people to pay for stuff, Luna knew that even to get 1 billion it would cost a player 100 dollars, so this staff was valued at 2780 dollars and that's what she could get without her skills from a merchant, it's real value was easily double that. Luna moved her laptop and walked over to Spike, she looked at Spike with her eyes full of tears. Spike smiled at Luna. "Did you like it?" Asked Spike.
Luna nodded as she gave Spike a deep kiss. She pulled back. "Spike, you just made me a 5000-dollar item, why didn't you say something?" Asked Luna.
Spike smirked. 'Well, all the things were valued at around 6000 dollars, but she's worth it.' Thought Spike, he pulled Luna into his lap as he started kissing her. "Who cares, I made it for you so just seeing you smile is worth all of it." Said Spike as he pulled Luna into his own kiss, shoving his tongue into her mouth.
Then the sound of the front door opening, and closing was heard. "Spike, Luna, where are you? Classes got canceled because of the storm." Yelled Twilight as she walked into the apartment.
Spike groaned he looked at Luna. "I still love you Luna." Said Spike as he tossed Luna from his lap and onto the bed. He closed Dream Realm and pulled up a powerpoint with history information, he looked at Luna. "Pretend to be teaching me." Said Spike.
Luna nodded. "As you can see here, life was not as great as it was thought during the European or American industrial revolution." Said Luna as Twilight walked past Spike's room. Luna looked at Twilight and smiled. "Yes, sorry for not responding, I was just finishing up Spike's history lecture."
Twilight smiled as she waved it off. "It's fine Luna. How was he today, was he a good boy?" Asked Twilight. This earned her a large pink eraser to the head, but she dodged it. "Sorry Spike, you didn't get a headshot."
Spike sighed. "Twilight, I love you, I really do, but I will stop cooking for you if you keep treating me like a dog." Said Spike.
This shut up Twilight as she couldn't live without Spike's cooking. "I'm sorry Spike, I'll drop it." Spike smiled. Twilight looked at Luna. "Luna, it looks like the storm is going to get really bad soon, I noticed that you didn't have your snow tires on. The roads are already bad, so I think it would be best for everyone if you stay here until conditions improve. Spike can sleep on the couch and I should have some baggy nightclothes that would fit you perfectly." She looked at Spike. "And you, get some air fresheners in here, it stinks of teenage boy. Luna can only hold her breath for so long." Said Twilight as she walked to her room to find those clothes.
Spike sighed. 'If she only knew why that smell is here.' Thought Spike. He looked at Luna. "Well, I guess you’re staying." Said Spike as he had to fake being upset that his principal was staying with him. But his smile told her his true feelings.
Luna nodded as she gave him a smile. "Yes, I'm sorry that you will be losing your room for me Spike." She leaned closer to him. "But I get lonely at night, so if you want to join me, I wouldn't mind." Said Luna in a whisper.
Twilight walked back into the room with a pair of sweat pants and a XXXL shirt that she got from a family vacation they took a few years ago. "Here you go Luna."
Luna smiled at the clothes as she took them. "Thank you, Twilight, it’s almost dinner time, so please go relax and I'll start dinner for the three of us." Said Luna.
Spike groaned as he had to fake sitting down all day. "Well, I need to move a little. Let me help you Ms. Solaris." Said Spike.
Luna smiled. "Why thank you Spike."
