The Battle of the Two Sisters: National Security, Part 4 (S3 E22)

Two days had passed since Twilight's address to the nation and Starlight along with her daughters were enjoying their breakfast. While Toolaroola and Coconut Cream had smiles on their faces, Starlight seemed tense, like something was bothering her.

Toola was the first to say anything, "Mom, you seem worried. Is anything bothering you?"

Coconut added, "Are you concerned about Twilight actually coming back just because of what your plans are? Are you worried that she may turn the country against you?"

Starlight replied, "It is not so much that, it is more me being concerned about the welfare of you two. She has harmed you two before and I could see her trying to harm you again just to get her way. She knows how important you two are to me and would use you two as a way to get her own way, a way that is outdated."

As soon as she finished her statement, the doors flew open and in stormed an angry Alicorn, "Starlight Glimmer!"

Starlight looked over to see that Twilight did indeed return to Canterlot. While Starlight was nervous for the sake of her daughters, she was not about to show any kind of weakness. She sought to rattle her sister, "What are you doing here Twilight? Shouldn't you be out at mom's old castle screwing Flurry Heart and the others?"

Twilight flared her horn up in anger, prompting Starlight to do the same. She yelled, "No, I have come back to prevent you from illegally seizing full power and turning this country into something that it should not be, into something it never has been."

Starlight then decided to bring up things from her speech, "Oh sister, I watched your speech and your views are horribly outdated. Friendship alone being enough to save the country? And the fact that you want to basically pay those who used to control the weather reparations? That ain't happening, not on my watch. Barring disabilities, nopony will get paid for doing absolutely nothing."

Twilight grabbed Starlight in her aura and yelled, "You know what Starlight, I'm surprised you'd do this. At one time you were the one who embraced diversity and now here you are wanting to turn this nation into a land of Unicorn supremacy, you're the one who seems to want to reestablish Unicornia and make this land UNICORN ONLY!"

Starlight easily broke out of her sister's hold and grabbed Twilight in her aura. She suggested, "How about we take our discussion elsewhere. The last thing this city wants is another magic battle."

Starlight then took off, dragging her sister with her. Once they were twenty miles away from Canterlot, Starlight let go of her and continued, "You know what sister, when you ran off to mom's old castle and left me to do all the duties, that was you abdicating the throne and since you did that, I figured I may as well take care of national security issues, those along with economic issues."

Twilight yelled, "No Starlight, you sought to illegally seize all power......"

Starlight interrupted, "Just like mom did when she banished Aunt Luna to the moon?"

This caused Twilight to freeze. She knew that Celestia became the sole ruler after Luna had been banished but then it hit her as to why she was banished. She explained, "Sister, when mom banished Luna to the moon, it was an act of self-defense. What you did was......"

"Do what I had to do when you abdicated! Face it sister, you ran off like a crybaby bitch because you were incapable of handling the duties that were assigned to you. You quit handling the moon because it would take time away from you screwing our half-sister. Face it Twilight, you abdicated."

"I did not abdicate," Twilight replied "I simply took a leave of absence to regroup and decide what to do to right the wrongs that you were doing."

Starlight yelled, "Bullshit little sister, you know you were just pissy because you were relegated to meaningless shit, meaningless shit that you took on upon your own free will."

Twilight flared her horn up and tore a hole in the fabric of space and time. She grabbed Starlight in her aura and yelled, "No I did not." Her yell became louder as she continued, "I may not have succeeded last time but this time, you're banished for good. I will be the one to rule alone this time big sister!"

Twilight threw her sister into the tear and sewed it up. She then began to celebrate, "Yes, yes, yes! Now I can rule Equestria alone and rule it MY way! Every hot mare will be my sex slave, everycreature will bow to my will! Those inferiors will learn to FEAR ME!"

A huge explosion knocked Twilight backwards and much to her dismay, a furious Starlight came flying out of a hole in the fabric of space and time. She grabbed Twilight in her aura and began to laugh, "You fool. You stupid fool. You honestly think you could banish me anywhere? You honestly think you could contain me?" Her voice became more stern as she continued, "Remember sister, I am infinitely powerful and nopony can banish me anywhere. Before you pull a stunt like that again, maybe you should think twice." She again began to laugh, "I've always shone brighter than you sister, always and this here once again proves I shine brighter."

Twilight could not understand how that could be given she thought they were both infinitely powerful, "How can this be? How can you outshine me when we are equally as powerful?"

Starlight laughed, "Let's just say that some ponies are more equal than others." She then sewed the tear in the fabric of space and time shut before continuing, "While you may think you can rid the world of me easily, I don't need to banish you anywhere to negate your threat." An orange bulb then formed at the edge of her horn and laughed, "This look familiar sister?"

Twilight had seen that before, not only from Starlight on the night of their first fight but also during her battles with Tirek. She gasped, "How? How could you learn that?"

Starlight then began to absorb Twilight's magic and began to grow large, very large. Once she had finished draining her, Twilight was but a mere mouse compared to her sister. Starlight then levitated Twilight up to where they were at eye level and laughed, "When you focus on studying instead of screwing a harem, you can learn anything and now, this land will be ran MY way and I won't even have to banish you anywhere now! You're totally harmless now!"

At that moment Twilight was terrified, she realized that she had gone from being equally as powerful to her sister to being a bug that Starlight could crush easily, she suddenly had absolutely no magic. Something then hit her, approval from their father. She said, "Aren't you afraid of losing dad's approval Starlight? I know you don't need mom's approval now but what about our father's? Even though he raised you, I know he would disown you over pulling this, over pulling something only the worst enemy of ponykind pulled before this."

The massive Alicorn froze when she heard the comment. If there was one thing that meant the world to her, it was the approval of her father. After a moment of silence, she got her confidence back, "Oh please, if you read the communications between dad and I, you'd know he thinks I should make the military UNICORN ONLY!"

Twilight countered, "That may be so but what would he think of you absorbing all my magic? I know you may think it but you doing that isn't going to make you any more powerful, you're already infinitely powerful and you can't add to that."

Starlight laughed, "Perhaps not but I did neutralize a pony who tried to banish me again. I'm sure dad would side with me on this. After all, he RAISED me...."

"And you are nothing like him! Mom always said he is too nice and that is where you got your niceness from, well until now! Trust me sister, he will side with the nice sister, not the sister who is like a Tirek on steroids. He will hate you after this, he will disown you after this!"

Those two comments caused Starlight to freeze again. She then began to realize that Twilight might be right and while she had grown to view Celestia as a traitor, losing the support of her father was too much to bear. An orange bulb again formed at the end of her horn as she returned Twilight's magic to her....well most of it. She decided to keep the part that allows her to tear open the fabric of space and time. She decided that Twilight was too mentally unstable to possess such a power.

Twilight would notice this though. While Starlight had stood roughly an inch taller than her before, now it was two inches. Twilight yelled, "Give it all back Starlight, I know you're keeping some, probably some that I might need!"

Starlight rolled her eyes, "I will if you promise to never try and banish me again. If you can't make that promise, I'm keeping it."

Twilight yelled, "Fine."

Starlight then returned that part of her magic and once again, Starlight only stood one inch taller than her sister. The two glared at one another before Starlight suggested, "Well shall we discuss how we are going to split up our duties since you seem to think that my ways are so horrible?"

Twilight sighed, "Let's do but I think it needs to be done at the castle. I don't want to risk you nearly destroying Equestria, again."

"Whatever."

The two then took flight back towards Canterlot. Neither one of the two sisters were thrilled at this point but Twilight did have hope that perhaps not only was she going to save Equestria from becoming a dictatorship but deep down she hoped that her and Starlight could go back to doing things the way they used to. She hoped that they could become close again and be happy again, which would include sisterly bonding.

Starlight was less than thrilled though. She knew that Twilight would not want to do what was best for the country, she knew that Twilight didn't care if the culture of Equestria wound up being destroyed because of unchecked and unlimited immigration. Starlight did decide that she would cave in to some of her sister's demands for one reason and one reason only, the safety of Toolaroola and Coconut Cream.
