1:43am Canterlot office building 21st floor

Many ponies were in the office on the 21st floor, many of them were covering their muzzled with their hooves, and some were covering theirs with small towels. And some were coughing because of the smoke coming through the ventilation shaft. And the fire has spread to the 17th floor.

"Will we make it out of here?" A mare asked with a scared face.

"We will, the fire brigade will definitely come here and rescue us, have faith." Said a stallion with hope.

Fire brigades present time

The fire brigades were close to the building, and when the horses made a left turn, they saw smoke. When the horses ran closer to the smoke, everypony saw a burning building. And the scene shocked all of them.

"Whoa, that's a huge fire." Said Pinkie with a shocked expression.

"We have to hurry." Said Rainbow Dash.

"We will, we just have to put out the fire and rescue all of the ponies trapped in the building." Said Thorax.

Twilight tried to say something was too shocked to even open her mouth.

The horses came to a stop at the entrance of the building, and many foals got off their carriages and began to put on their air cylinders. And many royal guards were seen evacuating some ponies who have just got off the building with the fire escapes.

"Alright, everypony off!" Said Thorax as he got off.

"Yes, Thorax!" Said the fillies as they got off their carriage as well. Then they began to put on their air cylinders as well.

Many of the firefighters began to rush into the burning building to save lives, and a filly walked up to Thorax.

"It all started in the basement Thorax, the power box malfunctioned and exploded, which caused the fire. And the fire has already spread to the 17th floor." She told him.

"Got it, what about initial fire control?" Thorax asked her.

"Apparently the sprinkler systems in the building failed." She told him.

"How do we get to the basement?" Thorax asked again.

"Well, you and your team will have to walk downstairs to the basement and make a left turn. And after you have done that, the fire will be there. And there are also some hose lines and fire hydrant systems there as well." She told him.

"I understand, now go and help your team." Thorax told her.

"Yes, Thorax!" She said, then she ran into the building with her team.

A royal guard walked up to Thorax and looked down at him with a worried look, and Thorax looked back up at him as well.

"Thorax, I believe it's too dangerous. Evacuating the ponies is more important than containing the fire." The royal guard told him.

"We have to put the source out, or we will have more difficulties rescuing the ponies trapped in the building. We're moving in sir." Thorax told him. Then he walked past the guard, and walked to his team.

Once the fillies finished putting on their air cylinders, they saw Thorax walking towards them, and they immediately stood up.

"Alright you six, the fire is at the basement of the building and it has spread to the 17th floor. To one of our colleagues calculations, the fire is getting stronger in the basement, and it will give us a harder time evacuating the ponies. So our first objective is to head to the source of the fire with the fire escape and put it out, understood?" Thorax asked them.

"Yes, Thorax!" The fillies said at the same time.

"Good, now let's go!" Said Thorax running in the building. And the fillies followed him and Twilight was behind all of them.

Inside the building. Many ponies were seen being escorted out of the building by some firefighters.

"The quickest route to the source is directly over there!" Said Applejack with a map of the building in her left hoof, and pointing at the fire escape glass door, which also lead to the basement

"Then that's where we're headed." Said Thorax.

Once they got to the door, Thorax gripped on the doors metal handle and pushed it open, but the door wouldn't budge.

"What the?" Said Thorax as he began to inspect the door. He then saw a small pile of rocks blocking the door.

"Alright, everypony stand behind me." Said Thorax.

The fillies did what he said and stood behind him. Then Thorax grabbed his fire axe, and swung it behind him. Before he hit the door be looked back at Twilight, when Twilight saw Thorax looking at her, she stood up straight.

"Keep within three steps with me at all times Twilight, understood?" Thorax asked her.

"Y-yes! I understand!" She told him.

"Good!" Said Thorax. Then he looked back and focused on the door again. He then swung his hooves and smacked the glass door, and the glass cracked a bit. Then Thorax swung his hoof once more and smacked it again. And the glass broke and shattered into pieces.

"Enter!" Thorax yelled as he kicked the pile of rocks and walked into the fire escape.

"Let's do this!" Said Rainbow Dash walking in as well with Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie.

Twilight gulped nervously and walked into the fire escape as well.

"I can do this!" Twilight said to herself in her mind confidently.

Thorax and the fillies were walking down the stairs to the basement really fast. But before they got there, a small fire was blocking their way which made Thorax and the fillies stop.

"What do we do?" Fluttershy asked.

Thorax began to look around the fire escape to see if there was any useful equipment to fight the fire. When he looked to his left he saw a fire extinguisher in a glass container.

"Perfect." Thorax said in satisfaction. Then he kicked the glass container and grabbed the fire extinguisher.

He then pulled the pin and the tamper seal broke open. After that, he aimed the nozzle at the fire and squeezed the handle, and extinguishing agent were shot out of it. After 6 seconds, the fire in front of them was extinguished.

"That solved our problem. Now let's proceed!" Said Thorax as he threw away the fire extinguisher and ran down the stairs.

"Yes, Thorax!" Said the fillies as they followed him down the stairs.

After running down the stairs for 5 seconds, they have made it to the basement door, and Thorax looked through the small window of the door and saw a huge fire behind it.

Then Thorax looked at the fillies.

"The fire is getting out of control in there! Prepare the equipments!"

"Yes, Thorax." Said the fillies as they ran to a huge glass container containing two hose lines. They opened the glass container and grabbed the hose lines.

"Quickly! Connect the hoses into the fire hydrant!" Said Rarity.

"We're on it." Said Rainbow Dash as she finished connecting hers in one of the fire hydrants.

Thorax and Twilight looked at the small map of the building that Applejack gave them, and they began to study the basement.

"Okay, there are no dangerous equipments in there, so we will have an easier time fighting the fire!" Said Twilight with a smile on her face.

Thorax shook his head and looked at her.

"Yes, there are no dangerous equipments. But there are no windows for us to ventalate the fire, so this will give us a harder time." Thorax told her.

Twilight's smile disappeared and she looked at Thorax with a scared look.

"Oh no, what will we do?" She asked looking at the floor sweating.

Thorax placed his right hoof on her chin and held it up. And Twilight blushed when that happened.

"It's okay Twilight. Remember what I said to you back in training and rescuing, follow my lead and listen to what I say. Then you will be okay. Understood?" He asked her.

"Y-yes Thorax, I understand." She replied.

"Good." Said Thorax with a smile. Then he removed his hoof away from her chin.

"Thorax! We finished connecting the hose lines into the fire hydrant! We are ready to enter!" Said Pinkie Pie putting on her oxygen mask with her friends. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash twisted the valves on the water hydrant, and water began to flow through the hose.

"Okay! Come on Twilight!" Said Thorax walking to water hose on the right with Pinkie Pie and Applejack.

"Okay! Let's do this!" Said Twilight with a confident look. Then she walked to the hose line on the right as well and stood behind Thorax while holding the line.
