Thorax and the fillies were on the 12th floor fire escape, and some of them were a bit shocked of the explosion that has just happened there. Thorax was thinking of a plan on where to go, but before he could think, his walkie talkie sounded.

"Thorax! This is the fire chief. Do you copy?"

When Thorax heard the fire chief, he placed his walkie talkie in front of him and began to send a reply.

"Loud and clear sir."

"Good, now listen. There are seven pony workers trapped in the 21st floor. And they are being surrounded by smoke and fire. I need you and your team to head to the 21st floor and rescue those ponies, I've sent team brigade eight to contain the fire on the 12th floor."

"Understood sir." Said Thorax. Then he turned off his walkie talkie and looked at the fillies.

"So, we've got some ponies to save on the 21st floor right?" Twilight asked.

"Thorax nodded and said "Yep."

"Then what are we waiting for? Let's get to it." Said Rainbow Dash as she ran up the stairs to the 21st floor.

"Rainbow wait!" Thorax called her, but she was already running up to the 21st floor. "Come on girls." Said Thorax as he ran up the stairs.

"Right behind you Thorax!" Said the fillies. Then they followed him up the stairs to the 21st floor.

When they got to the 20th floor, they heard Rainbow Dash yelling "Oh come on! Why does everything has to be so hard?"

"Is everything okay up there Rainbow?" Thorax asked as he and the other fillies reached her. Then they saw what she was yelling about. A giant rock was blocking the door.

"Oh, that's an issue." Said Applejack.

"The debris must've fallen because of the force from the explosion on the 12th floor. So that means we can't go through here to get the ponies trapped in there." Said Thorax examining the fallen debris.

"So, what do you suggest we do?" Twilight asked.

Then Thorax turned around and looked at the fillies.

"Well, we do know that this building has two fire escapes right?" Thorax asked them. And the fillies nodded.

"So, here's what I have in mind. I say we go into the 20th floor and use the fire escape there. And once we get to the fire escape, we can get to the 21st floor and to the ponies." Thorax told them.

"Thorax, that's a great idea!" Said Pinkie.

"Well what are we waiting for? Let's go save those ponies!" Said Fluttershy.

"Okay, let's go!" Said Thorax. Then he lead his team downstairs to the 20th floor.

After taking ten steps down. They have reached the 20th floor fire escape door. And Thorax looked through the small window frame on the door, and he saw no fire in there. He then turned around and looked at the fillies.

"There's no fire in there, today's our lucky day!" Thorax told the fillies, and they giggled.

Then Thorax pushed the door opened and he and the fillies began to walk through the dark corridor. And Twilight was a bit scared.

"Calm down Twilight. Everything will be okay." Pinkie told her.

Twilight gulped and said "I don't know, I don't like dark corridors."

"Twilight, just try and forget about the scary things, think about the party that I'm gonna throw after this." She told her with a huge smile.

"I would love that." She giggled.

While they were walking, Thorax felt something around the room.

"Wait, stop." Said Thorax raising his right hoof.

The fillies stopped when they saw his right hoof, but Twilight accidentally bumped into his air cylinder.

"Oof! What's the matter now Thorax?" Twilight asked.

"Shh, listen."

The fillies began to listen, at first they did not hear anything, but then they heard a cracking noise.

"Um, what's that noise?" Rainbow Dash asked feeling a bit scared.

"Rarity, are you gritting your teeth again?" Applejack asked with an irritated look.

"Um, no. I'm not gritting my teeth this time." Rarity told her.

Then a small dust fell on the floor near them.

"Um, girls? What was that?" Fluttershy asked looking at the dust.

Thorax looked up and saw dust falling off the ceiling. He then saw it cracking. His eyes widened and he looked at the fillies.

"Guys! Back to the fire escape! The ceilings gonna collapse!"

When the fillies heard that, their eyes widened and they turned around and began to run back to the fire escape.

"Why is this happening!?" Twilight yelled running.

"It's a fire Twilight! What else do you expect?" Rainbow asked rolling her eyes.

Then the whole ceiling collapsed. Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie and Applejack managed to get back to the fire escape in time. When Thorax was running, he saw a huge debris about to fall on Twilight. His eyes widened and he tried to call her.

"Twilight! Wait!"

"Huh?" Said Twilight as she turned around and looked at Thorax.

Once Thorax reached her, he grabbed her and pulled her on the ground just before the debris could fall on top off her.

"Ooff!" Twilight grunted as she and Thorax fell on the ground.

Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity and Pinkie were trying to call for Thorax and Twilight thought he fallen debris.

"Thorax! Twilight! Are you two okay?!" Rainbow Dash yelled.

"We're good!" Thorax yelled back. Then he and Twilight stood up.

"Go find another way to the 21st floor!" Thorax yelled.

"Okay! Understood! Come on girls!" Rainbow Dash yelled as she and her friends ran downstairs to find another way to reunite with Thorax and Twilight.

Inside the 20th floor hallway

Twilight began coughing because of the smoke that the fallen debris has made.

When Thorax heard her coughing, he immediately wrapped her oxygen mask around her face, and Twilight began to gasp for air. Then Thorax placed his oxygen mask on as well.

"What do we do now Thorax?" Twilight asked looking at him.

Then Thorax began to look around the dark hallway. Then he looked at her and said "We have to keep moving, the other fire escape isn't far from here, just have to make a right turn and we'll be there. After that, we will reunite with our friends on the 21st floor."

"Okay, that sounds like a plan to me." Twilight replied with a smile.

"Good, now let's go." Said Thorax. Then he began to lead Twilight to the other fire escape on the 20th floor.
