Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy were running down the fire escape to another floor to find another fire escape to the 21st floor so that they can reunite with Thorax and Twilight. But then, somepony began to talk to Rainbow Dash through her walkie talkie which stopped all of them in their tracks.

"Fire brigade team three! This is firefighter Rocky, do you copy?"

Rainbow picked up her walkie talkie and began to send a reply.

"This is Rainbow Dash."

"Rainbow Dash, we've received reports that there are ponies trapped in an office on the 15th floor, and many are having some difficulties breathing because of the smoke. We need you all to head over to the situation and rescue those ponies now." Said Rocky.

Fluttershies eyes widened when she heard that.

"But Rainbow Dash, we're trying to head to the 21st floor to reunite with Thorax and Twilight." She told her.

Rainbow nodded when she heard her say that. Then she began to send back a reply.

"Sorry Rocky, we're trying to reunite with Thorax and Twilight and rescue some the ponies trapped on the 21st floor, send another team there." Rainbow told her.

Outside of the office building

When Rocky heard the reply in his walkie talkie. He then turned to the filly firefighter lieutenant.

"Lieutenant Snowy, we can't send team three to the 21st floor apparently, they are trying to get to the 21st floor to reunite with Thorax and the new recruit, and rescue the ponies trapped in there." Rocky told her.

When Snowy heard that, she walked up to the walkie talkie and began to talk to Rainbow Dash.

"Rainbow Dash, this is lieutenant Snowy, I need you and your friends to rescue the ponies trapped in the 15th floor office."

Back on the 15th floor fire escape

When Rainbow heard the lieutenant ordering her and her friends to head to the 15th floor office, she tried to convince her.

"But lieutenant, we're trying to reunite with Throax and Twilight and rescue th-" Rainbow was soon cut off when Snowy replied with a serious voice.

"No buts Rainbow Dash! You and your friends location is the nearest! So head over there now! That's an order!" She demanded.

After that, Rainbow sighed and looked at her friends.

"Come on girls, let's go to the 15th floor."

"But Rainbow Dash. We're suppost to find another fire escape to reunite with Thorax and Twilight on the 21st floor." Pinkie told her.

"Yeah Rainbow, we can't just abandon them." Said Rarity.

"I know, but we've got orders from the lieutenant, so let's head over there now."

"Okay." All of them sighed.

Then they entered the 15th floor fire escape door and began to run through the corridors to get to the office where the trapped ponies were in.

After they made a right turn, they saw a glass door which they assumed was the office.

Then Rainbow opened the door and she and her friends stepped in the room. Then they saw a stallion and mare unicorn. And the stallion unicorn was covering his mouth with a small towel.

Applejack looked at her left and saw a picture of the unicorn stallion, and she must assumed that he was the boss of the building.

"Where have all of you been?!" The stallion yelled.

"Um, where are the others?" Fluttershy asked.

"What do you mean others? It's just us you foolish foals!" The stallion unicorn yelled "How do you all even do your work as firefighters?"

Then the unicorn mare stood up and began to calm her husband down.

"Calm down honey, at least they've come to rescue us." Said the unicorn mare. Then her eyes widened and she remembered something.

"Oh no! Where's my baby?" The mare panicked.

When the fillies heard the mare saying her baby, Fluttershy and Pinkie began to search the room. When they opened a cupboard, they saw a puppy walking out and to the unicorn mare.

The unicorn mare sighed in relief and hugged her puppy.

"Oh baby. I was so worried about you, I'm so sorry." Said the unicorn mare hugging her puppy.

Rainbow Dash was looking at the couple and their dog with an incredulous look. Then somepony talked through her walkie talkie again.

"Rainbow Dash, this is lieutenant Snowy, what's the status of your location?"

Rainbow then slowly held her walkie talkie near her mouth.

"We've successfully rescued a couple and their dog." She told her "Nice work on WASTING OUR TIME!" Rainbow yelled.

Outside of the building

When Snowy heard the reply, she lowered the walkie talkie with a shocked expression, and Rocky and a couple of firefighters began to snicker.

Back in the office

After Rainbow had found the couple and the dog with her friends, she began to give some of them some orders.

"Rarity, Applejack. Get them to safety." Rainow ordered them.

"Roger that RD." Said Applejack, then they began to escort the couple and their dog out of the building.

"Fluttershy, Pinkie. Follow me, maybe we can find another fire escape here." Rainbow told them.

"Okay." The two of them replied. Then they walked out of the office and began to look for another fire escape to the 21st floor.

20th floor hallway

On the 20th floor hallway. Thorax and Twilight were trying to find another fire escape to the 21st floor. And Twilight had a scared expression while looking at her surroundings.

"I don't know about this Thorax." Twilight told him "I feel like something bad's going to happen."

"It's a fire Twilight, many bad things can happen." Thorax told her.

"I know, but I'm just really scared."

Thorax then looked at Twilight and she looked at him back.

"Twilight, as firefighters we always encounter scary things, like fire and smoke. But if we want to fulfil our duties, we must overcome our fears and keep going straight." Thorax told her.

Twilight then had a confident look when she heard his words.

"I understand Thorax. We must overcome our fears." She said confidently.

"That's the spirit." Thorax smiled behind his oxygen mask.

Then they made a right turn, and Thorax and Twilight saw another fire escape door in front them.

"Thorax look! Another fire escape!" Said Twilight happily.

"I see." Thorax replied with a smile.

"Let's go!" Said Twilight as she ran. But then she was stopped when Thorax grabbed her suit and pulled her back which made her gasp. Then she looked at Thorax with a confused look.

"What is it now Thorax?" Twilight asked.

"Look down." Said Thorax as he pointed down with his right hoof.

When Twilight saw him pointing down, she looked underneath her and saw a crack on the floor, which made her take a small step back.

"There's a crack on the floor." Twilight said quietly.

"Yes, and if we both move at once, the whole floor will collapse." Thorax told her. And she had a terrified look behind her oxygen mask.

"Oh no, what will we do?" Twilight asked.

Then Thorax pulled out a bright blue coloured marker from his pocket and Twilight looked at it with another confused look behind her mask.

"What are you gonna do with that?"

"You'll see." Thorax replied. "Wait here." He told her.

Then he began to walk slowly on the floor and to the fire escape. And he began to draw on the floor near his front hoof after ever steps he took. After 20 seconds, Thorax has made it to the fire escape door and he placed the marker back in his pocket and turned around and looked at Twilight.

"Follow the markers to get to me. And don't try to run." Thorax told her.

Twilight gulped nervously and said "Okay."

Then she began to walk slowly on the cracked floor while looking at the bright blue marker colour on the floor.

"Okay Twilight. Just take a deep breath. Take a deep breath and think about happy thoughts." She told herself in her mind.

"Just calm down and-"

Then an explosion happened underneath her on the 19th floor.

"Ahhhhh!" Twilight yelled as she fell.

"Twilight! Are you okay?" Thorax asked her with a worried expression behind his mask.

Then Twilight slowly stood up "I-I'm good." She told him.

Then the floor began cracking around her and Twilight took a few steps back.

"Twilight! Your doing a great job! Don't turn back! Keep going straight!" Thorax told her.

Twilight tried to move forward again but the cracks on the floor surrounding her made her stop. Then she burst into tears.

"Ahhhh! I can't do this! Help me please!" Twilight cried.

"Just keep going! Your almost here!" Thorax yelled.

"I can't!" Twilight cried.

Then the floor and roof behind her began to collapse.

When Thorax saw the falling debris reaching her, he immediately ran towards her and picked her up. Then he ran towards the fire escape door with the falling debris behind him.

Twilight was crying too hard to even know what was going on. Then Thorax made it to the fire escape door. He pushed it opened and closed it in time before the debris to reach them, but then a few debris in the fire escape began to fall on them.

When Thorax noticed the debris, he laid Twilight on the floor and began to shield her with his body.
