ISSUE #6 CHAPTER 8: Watch Your Back

Spider-Man crawled down the walls of the wide Elevator shaft until he saw a hole at the top of the middle Elevator Car. His eyes narrowed. "Looks like this is it." He landed at the third elevator car which had some small bits of debris on top.

Spider-Man knelt down and took a deep breath for the moment of truth. He looked into the hole and in doing so, something immediately caught his eye. It looked to be a mask. Spider-Man's eyes slowly widened as he stared at it. The mask had an iron like coloured skin and a blue fedora on top.

"A MASK?! Than that means." He continue to search the elevator car and saw what appeared to be Big Man sitting against the wall with his head lowered, but instead he saw top of his head, nothing but jet black hair. Spider-Man's right lens squinted.

"Uhhh…..Wakey, Wakey?"

There was silence for a moment, Spider-Man actually thought that Big Man was dead. That was until he heard Big Man cough.

"I-If I have to hear your voice one more time I swear to god!"

Spider-Man gasped. The voice he heard was a complete 180 from what he heard during the entire fight. Instead of a nonchalant monotone voice. It was more of a western accented voice that sounded more rough. But that wasn't what shocked him, it was the fact that he recognized the voice.

How could he not, he saved him during Goblin's Canterlot Tower Attack.

"N-No, It Can't be." The head of Big Man jerked up. The mask he'd been wearing the whole fight revealed a man with tank skin, brown bushy eyebrows and a mullet with a receding hairline. Spider-Man quivered at the sight of bruised Filthy Rich. "N-No this has to be a fluke, the Big Man is you!?"

Filthy Rich growled at Spider-Man and sarcastically congratulated him, "Hoowee! Why don't we give ya a medal for cryin' out loud huh?"

Spider-Man's teeth gritted, "B-But I don't understand. Your one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the whole country, why would you be a Crime lord of all things."

"Oh you can't be serious Spider-Man." Big Man scowled, "How do you think I even got all my money to start up huge companies or buy successful stocks. It isn't no family fortune I'll tell you that much."

My whole family has been in the organized crime business for years. But it was me who truly came into it and become the most successful."

Then it hit Spider-Man. Remembering everything from the Green Goblin Incident, he realized that he was right all along. "I don't believe it. If Goblin attacked you and targeted Mayor Fisk, than that means."

"We're Crime lords. Wow they should cast you to be the next Sherlock Holmes. Who knows maybe you could hit it big."

Spider-Man leaped inside the Elevator Car and walked directly towards Filthy Rich. Grabbing him by the collar and lifting him up. "DO YOU THINK THIS IS SOME SORT OF GAME! YOU'VE PUT YOUR OWN CITY IN DANGER AND FOR ALL WE KNOW PROBABLY HAVE NO REMORSE FOR IT! ALL FOR WHAT HUH?! TO MAKE YOURSELF FEARED AMONG EVERYONE!?"

Big Man grit his teeth, "There's more to a story than it's cover you know. Everything, Everything I've done is for one thing and that is my family. I do it so they can live comfortably and not have to worry at all about financial issues."

"That doesn't excuse anything!" Spider-Man bellowed, "What's next. You're gonna tell me that you left bribes for Mayor Fisk to win so you two could gain strict authorized access into our cities.....well WHATEVER you get the point!"

"No really I don't. And besides, I couldn't care less about Wilson Fisk. The only reason I joined him was to cover him up and do his dirty work. And when I finally had enough I decided to hell with it! I killed one of him most valued allies and now, now were at war."

"Anything else you'd like to spill?" Spider-Man scoffed, "Or do you want to save the rest for the police?"

Big Man laughed. But then he coughed a little, partly due to the injuries he's sustained, "Y-You know what I just have one tiny warning for you..." He trailed off and chuckled a little, "J-Just know, Wilson Fisk isn't the only one you should be worried about. He has a new sidekick by his side now."

"Alright, tell me his name and I'll go do exactly what I did to you."

"Y-You're funny, but the problem is, he goes by many names. He's more stronger than I could ever be."

"Spill it!"

"H-His name is L. He'll become the second most powerful criminal in Canterlot with me now out of the picture. He was my replacement as the second to Fisk. But now, he'll be replacing me as the Big Man of crime." He laughed maniacally, wheezing like an elderly man. "You better watch you back Spider-Man. Things are going to get tougher from here."

Spider-Man's was emotionless. His eyes were just narrowed on Filthy Rich. He wasn't so much threatened by any of what he said. He reached into suit and pulled out his phone, dialling 911 while continuously staring at Filthy Rich.

"Hello Operator. Refer to me as Anonymous."

A police cruiser with only one officer in it. We all knew him. He was referred to as Officer Hothoof while on the job. As the car pulled up to Sherman's Tower his eyes widened. What he saw was Filthy Rich wrapped in a cocoon of webbing while hanging on a street light.

He got out of his car. He ran up to another officer and questioned him. "What happened here?"

The Officer glanced at him and smiled, "I think he'd explain it better than me." He handed him a paper note, "It was left there with the criminal, and it was surprisingly addressed to you." He glanced away and headed to another officer.

Officer Hothoof arched an eyebrow. Looking at the note and began reading it.

Officer Hothoof and or Officer
Windy Whistles

This one is a bit of a special case. I can't
give you the full details as I don't know th-
at much about him myself. But let's just s-
ay that he's been responsible for some of
the "serious threats" over the past few m-
onths.

BT Dubs, you might want to get some people
to check out the elevator

Yours Truly....
Spider-Man

Officer Hothoof's mouth opened but no sound came out of his mouth. He turned around and looked up in the distance. He could make out the figure of Spider-Man squatted down on top of a building and watching over him.

Spider-Man noticed him instantly, and from up above he saluted Officer Hothoof. Officer Hothoof chuckled and exchanged a salute with him.

He watched as Spider-Man rose to his feet and swung away. He smiled, "That crazy son of a gun."

Spider-Man didn't go home however. Instead, he swung right near Fisk Towers. Where The Mayor operated sometimes. He landed on top of a building that overlooked Fisk towers. The building was lit up and it seem any damages from the Enforcers incident was erased from the building.

Spider-Man however could care less about that. Instead, he looked at the building with a bit of hatred and suspicion.

Flash took his mask off. Clear scratches and some bruises were prominent on his face. His mouth had been bleeding during the fight. The only remanences of that was a tickle of dry blood coming that had came out of his mouth.

All this time, all this time The Green Goblin had been right about Wilson Fisk. But there was no way no one would believe him. Not even Sunset. But along with that there's another Crime Lord far superior to Big Man. And all's Flash had to go off was the name 'L' and he was to become the new Big Man of Crime.

That's all he could get out of Filthy Rich. No more, No less.

Nevertheless, things were gonna be different. Quite possibly more dangerous.

"I'm keeping my eye on you Fisk!" Spider-Man put his mask back on and gave the building one final glance before swinging off and finally ending the rollercoaster of a day he'd been having.
