Flash Sentry The Spectacular Spider-Man
ISSUE #5 CHAPTER 7:I want some answers!
Previous ChapterNext ChapterLeaping off the stone monument, he flicked his wrist down and fired a webline from his top hand and swung over towards the scene.
He let go of his webline and clung onto a building, close to where the fire was happening, it looked bad from before, but now it looked worse up close. His eyes squinted, "This is definitely not good!" He looked down onto the street, seeing a bunch of firefighters and some officers.
He took out his camera from his suit. He set the camera on a timer and swung off towards the ground, "Let's hope it isn't anything to serious."
He swung downwards, letting go of his webline he landed right on top of the fire truck, startling a few firefighters and officers, "Hey guys!" He saluted with two fingers, "So uh, what's going on here?"
All of the officers and firefighters furrowed their eyebrows, looking at the figure that was on top of the firetruck, but it didn't take long to realize who it was.
"Sp-Spider-Man?" a hesitant firefighter asked.
"Yeah look so I decided to switch things up for the new year, but uh" He pointed his arms at the building on fire, "What's going on here?"
The firefighter blinked for a minute before shaking his head and focusing, "OH! Well a fire just broke out a few minutes ago and we've been trying to contain it, the worst part is police believe there is still a person trapped at the top floor!"
Spider-Man glanced up at the building, "Okay I'll have a check on it!"
The firefighter's eyes widened, "WAIT IT'S WAY TOO--" But before he could finish, Spider-Man shot out two strands of webbing, walking back a little, he shot himself up in the air, going past fifteen stories out of the eighteen, "DA-ngerous, way too dangerous!"
The firefighter let out a sigh, "May god be with that guy!"
Spider-Man landed onto the building with his feet and sprinted up the last two stories. At his last step he leapt off the wall, executing a somersault mid-air, firing a webline just at the thin edge of the buidlings glass frame, he swung forward, towards the smoke covered window.
*CRASH!*
He crashed in through the window! Landing on the floor, avoiding some flames from touching him. Landing on the ground he looked around, "Hello? IS ANYONE IN HERE!?" he screamed.
Nothing, the only thing to be heard was the crackling of the fire around him. He glanced up at the ceiling, not having much options he jumped up and clung onto the ceiling, "I just hope I'm not toast by the end of this!"
He began crawling on the wall, cautiously, probably the most slowest he'd ever been today. He looked around, still no sign of anyone in the top floor, but then suddenly.
"My Spider-Senses are tingiling!" He glanced behind him and saw what look liked a blue ball of shockwave energy coming right at him. He let go of the ceiling and landed on the ground. "What was that?!" He turned his head and seriously gazed into the direction in which the blast was fired.
He heard the most unthinkable thing possible. Among all the crackling fire, fire and smoke alarms and things burning he heard the most unthinkable and kind of eerie, he heard whistling, a person whistling a small catchy tune.
"WHO'S DOING THAT?!" His eyes squinted, trying to look for something or for that matter, someone. But he got more than what he bargained for.
The whistling went on for a bit until...
He heard footsteps accompany the whistling.
And after that
A silhouette accompany both the whistling and footsteps. As it got closer and closer to Spider-Man, two more began walking from the opposite direction, right behind Spider-Man's back, one of which being a big silhoutte , it soon dawned on him that the silhouette wasn't someone in danger.
"Oh, it's you!" Spider-Man clenched his fists and put them up.
"My, My Mister Spider-Man!" Said The Silhouette got closer and evntually the shadow let out, revealing him to be the Shcoker, "Yer offly a smart fella!"
"So are you alone on this one? where's your friends at?"
Shocker chuckled and mocked him, "So much for calling you a smart fella!" He snapped his finger, signalling for OX.
Spider-Man glanced behind him, realizing that the rest of The Enforcers are right behind him. Just as he turned his head, OX began charging at him.
But Spider-Man was way too smart to be caught by someone like OX. He flipped into the air, just as OZ tried to grasp him. Spider-Man ended up landing right on top of OX's head.
OX paused, thinking he had Spider-Man right where he wanted, acting slowly at first, he slowly raised his arms up and then with no hesitation, he attempted to grasp Spider-Man, prompting Spider-Man to jump off his head, making OX miss him and making him clasp his hands together.
Spider-Man jumped back and landed on the floor, just as he did his Spider-Sense went off, glancing back, he saw that he was about to be hit by Ricochet's boot. Using the few seconds he had he caught the armored foot and without thinking, he heaved him across the room.
As Ricochet flew mid-air, he rebounded himself and curled up in a ball and bounced off a wall, barreling in the air, towards Spider-Man direction.
Spider-Man lowered himself, outstretching his right leg and bending his left knee, while putting both hands on the ground and ducking his head.
This caused Ricochet to slightly scrape the edge of Spider-Man's back and instead hit the unintended target OX, right in the stomach.
Spider-Man stood up, with a grand and string posture, he stood right in front of them.
Ricochet got himself up and off the ground, meanwhile OX stopped clenching his stomach and looked at his armor, there was a small dent on it, but nothing too serious. Ricochet glanced at Spider-Man, that furrowing an eyebrow, something seemed offly different about him.
Than he realized it, widening his eyes and pointing at Spider-Man, "Dude, what happened to your suit?"
But instead of answering it, Spider-Man had decided to completely dodge the question and decided to steer the conversation in a different direction "You know what, no." He hissed, "This time I ask the questions" He pointed at the three, "For starters, I want to know about this Big Man! Who is he?!" He began walking at them in a threatened manner.
Shocker rolled his eyes, "Gee when ol' Marko said that you were dumb, I didn' think he was bein' serious!"
Spider-Man clenched his fists, he was done messing around, he needed to stop the source off all the super-criminals and he knew for a fact the only lead he had was 'The Big Man', he grit his teeth under his mask and let out a yell, "ANSWER ME!" He lunged towards the three.
OX knew that this was his time, he stood in front of the two Enforcers, trying to act as a brick wall to Spider-Man.
But that wasn't enough to stop the Black Suited Spider-Man!
He bellowed,"MOVE!" Spider-Man not thinking twice, he pushed OX with his arms, using all his might! This surprised OX completely as he felt the unexpected force that Spider-Man expected, causing him to fly back taking Shocker and Ricochet with him.
*CRASH!*
OX and the two other Enforcers went flying out the window, but Shocker and Ricochet came perfectly prepared, Ricochet leaped off OX and curled into a ball, heading for a building wall while Shocker had come with a parachute, just in case something did go 'haywire' as he'd put it.
Meanwhile OX fell to the ground, but even if he did hit the ground, it wouldn't affect him as he had the same durability as The Rhino!
Meanwhile Spider-Man clenched his fists, "That, Stupid, WHALE OF A HUMAN BEING!" Spider-Man was not about to let them escape again, so he decided on one thing, taking out the biggest hurdle standing in his way.
He sprinted towards the hole in the wall and leaped out, by that time Both Shocker and Ricochet had landed safely, meanwhile OX crashed into the ground back first, creating a huge sink hole on the road, not to mention a crater right where he landed.
Spider-Man dived towards the ground, not even firing a webline, landing on the ground he stomped towards OX slowly, angrily breathing, "You!" He pointed at OX, "I'm particularly growig tired of you OX!" His voice had somewhat changed, like he had a double voice, it sounded scary, horrifying, maybe even menacing.
He jumped up in the air, doing a somersault before landing on OX's stomach, "And I am done with your high levels of incompetence!" He raised his fist up before driving it into OX's head, "I'm done dealing with big bone heads like you!" Raising his fist up he drove it back into OX's face, making sure to sink his fist into his face with each punch, "I WILL END THIS!" Gritting under his mask, Spider-Man raised his fist one more time before using all his might and punching OX as hard as he could! Knocking him out.
Spider-Man however wasn't done there, looking at a glass wall of a building right in front of him, he punched it, sending shards of glass to fly everywhere. Spider-Man caught one of the shards of and glanced back at OX! He leapt up and outstretched his hands, letting out some webbing and encasing his whole body in his 'new' webs. Looking at the mask OX was wearing he put both of his hands on it and broke it off, not realizing that the mask was a part of the suit.
He raised the shard of glass up, right between his eyes and he was about to jab, until....
"SPIDER-MAN!" He stopped his eyes widening, glancing back he saw Shocker and Ricochet standing behind him, Shocker pointed at him, "You, us, Bell Tower at eight tonight!"
Spider-Man dropped the shard of glass, "This Big guy wasn't worth my time anyway!" instead of going after them, Spider-Man... agreed, "Make it a date!" He hissed viciously. He leapt up and fired a webline, swinging off.
Ricochet however didn't seem to agree and wanted to take him out now, but Shocker stopped him from following him, putting his arm up.
"Leave him Ricochet, a man's word is a man's word."
Ricochet's eyes widened, he wanted to differ but Spider-Man had already swung off at that point so all's he could do was just take Shocker's word for it. He glanced over at OX, "What about OX?"
"Leave him!" ordered Shocker.
Ricochet's eyes widened even more, "What?" this time he did beg to differ, "What do you mean leave him, that's our guy! Without OX there is no Enforc--"
"RICOCHET!" Shocker put his foot down, "We can't keep pickin' up after him, we have to leave him, right now we have to move forward and finally end this nonsensical game o' cat and mouse between the bug!"
Ricochet was in disbelief, Shocker had now become so invested in killing Spider-Man it started to affect his decision making, he sighed in defeat, not really knowing what to make of any of it, "Yes Shocker"
The two ran off, evading the public and leaving OX behind, "So what about Big Man?" asked Ricochet, "I'm not sure he'll be so happy to know Spidey is still roaming the streets."
Shocker glanced at Ricochet as they were running, "Were not reporting back to him, were going straight to the clock tower!"
Ricochet let those words sink in, now Shocker was trying to hide things from Big Man, it seemed a bit too odd, but whether it was odd or not he just shrugged, "Aright! I just hope you know what you're doin'"
Shocker smirked under his mask, "Leave that stuff wit' me!"
Spider-Man crawled through the window of his apartment, camera in hand. Closing the window, his suit molded into cloth and turned into a black long sleeve and dark denim jeans. He started for his bed, sitting down on the edge of the bed, he held the camera very firmly and sat there, gazing into his camera.
He was thinking, but he wasn't thinking about the photo taking device, he was thinking about what he did, his set of actions. Questioning what went down near the end of the fight, especially with OX "Why did I act like that back there? I've never wanted to have the notion of killing someone as Spider-Man, why was it that suddenly I wanted to just go off?" Taking one hand off the camera, he peered into his hand.
"Was it... the suit? Like, some....alien effect of it?" He rotated his hand, peering into it even more.
But then, suddenly, out of the blue, Flash had a feeling of doubt go down his spine, like he was talking nonsense, "No, it can't be the suit, it's done so much good why would it--" Then he stopped, realizing that he still had the alien lifeform still bonded to him, "Wait--THE SUIT!" He staggered to his feet quickly.
"Oh no! The Suit, I still have it I gotta return it I can--" Then he stopped again.
He also realized at the same time, he had to face off against The Enforcers at 8:00 tonight at Canterlot's Bell Tower, Rutherford Tower.
He shook his head, now being opposed to giving the suit away, "No Sentry what are you thinking!" He smacked himself on the back of his head, "If you take off the suit then that means you wont have it's powers, and you need it." He looked to the window, peering at the Bell Tower from afar, "And Plus, The Enforcers wont stand a chance against me, they'll have to give up!"
He walked over to his bed, lying down on it and taking out his phone, "Until the, I guess watching vines ironically will help me pass the time."
