Two Souls, One Ling

“ How’s the wall looking? “ Spike asked, sitting on the ground, sipping a cup of tea. Twilight, Starlight, and Trixie were all struggling to fix the walls that “ It “, broke through. Twilight just looked down at the small dragon, that was sitting next to a napping Changeling. She deadpanned.

“ Ugh. “ She groaned, before getting hit in the face with a piece of crystal. Starlight looked at her, and said, “ Oh, I’m sorry! Did I do that? I don’t think I did. “ Twilight just rubbed her face.

“ Haha. Really funny. “ They were still mad at eachother, even after Spike tried to get them to make up. But, they still were just mad, and Spike just decided to not worry about mare drama. Spike just glanced at Thorax, seeing the guy blinking.

“ ..Eh? Wha.. “ He looked around, looking at Spike. Thorax just closed his eyes again, sighing.

“ You awake? Or are you just going to go back to sleep. “ Spike asked, patting the Changeling’s head. He just sat up, rubbing his head. Spike smiled, and went back to watching the unicorns, and alicorn working on the wall.

“ Are you..going to help? “ Thorax got up, asking. Spike shook his head.

“ Nah. They can do it themselves this time. “ He smirked. Thorax blinked, before sighing, trying to hide a giggle, before buzzing up to help the mares. Well, it wasn’t long before he got hit in the head with a crystal piece. Thorax froze, seeing Twilight, and Starlight having another argument.

“ I TOLD you! I didn’t do ANYTHING! “ Starlight defended herself, Twilight only scoffing.

“ I TOLD you, I don’t CARE! “ Twilight said, angry. Thorax watched for a moment, before flying toward them.

“ Guys, guys, guys! You two, are friends! How about, you just..talk..? “ Thorax suggested, Chrysalis just face-hoofing behind him. Twilight and Starlight looked at eachother, scowling.

“ ..I’m sorry for assuming you put some spell on Thorax, which you still probably did. “ Twilight added. Thorax just...stared. You don’t—add something to the apology, he knew this. That only made the situation worse. Starlight groaned.

“ I’m sorry, for trying to tell the truth! Because you’re too DUMB to understand! “ Starlight added. Thorax and Chrysalis just sighed, shaking their head softly, or just face-hoofing themselves again. Trixie seemed to feel the same.

“ Girls! Can we PLEASE work on this wall? “ Trixie rolled her eyes, still working on it.

“ Well, I would. But THORAX, said we had to apologize! “ Twilight said, a bit sounding like she was blaming him. He only wanted to help.

“ I was only trying to get you two to get along, instead of just bickering at eachother! “ He explained, Chrysalis just scowled at the two mares. Starlight and Twilight just looked at eachother one last time, before huffing, and getting back to work. Thorax sighed, before hearing a knock at the door.

“ I’ll get it. “ Spike got up, and walked to the door. He opened it, to see two younger mares. It was Lucy Diamond, and..another one. She had a brown mane and tail, and a crisp white coat. Her eyes were green, with a hint of blue. Spike blinked, before waving.

“ Hey there...you- “ He said, before the one pony just ran on in, not even caring that the small dragon was trying to speak.

“ Sugar! “ Lucy called, trotting in after them. Spike followed, as the two mares started to argue. Thorax watched, before flying down to greet them. Lucy glanced over at Thorax, and turned her head to him.

“ Thorax! “ She called, happily. She waved, Thorax waving back, nervously, before trotting toward them. He looked to the new mare. Who was she? He’d never seen someone like her before. The mare’s cutie mark appeared to be...a pack of sugar..and a few spices? It seemed rather...literal, to her name that is. Pretty implied to be honest. The mare turned to him, scowling for some...odd reason.

“ What’cha lookin’ ya m’ cutie mark for, Eh?! Got a problem?! “ She accused. Thorax stepped back.

“ What? N-No, no, no, not at all! “ He said, rather anxiously. Chrysalis just watched from behind. Why did she..get mad when all he did was look at her literal-name-implying cutie mark? It didn’t make much sense, but hey. Nothing makes sense here.

“ Sugar! Don’t be like that. “ Lucy scolded. Sugar huffed, running her hoof at the ground. Lucy sighed, before looking at Thorax.

“ I-I’m sorry about Sugar Spices. She’s just— “

“ Sugar Spices? “ He asked. Chrysalis just snickered. She got all offended, only to have her cutie mark apply to her name! How ridiculous.

“ Yeah, that’s her name. Pretty obvious, I know. “ She said, looking back at Sugar, awkwardly. Thorax nodded, before sighing.

“ I’m..sorry, for making her upset. “

“ Oh, no. It’s fine. She does that to everypony that looks at her cutie mark. “ Lucy said, rolling her eyes, Sugar over hearing, and glaring. Thorax nodded nervously, before walking up to Sugar Spices.

“ What do you want? “ She growled.

“ I’m sorry for..you know.. “ He apologized, Chrysalis just watching, not exactly WANTING him to apologize. It’s HER fault for getting offended everytime anything involves her cutie mark.

“ Oh, whatever, bug-face. “ She turned away, walking off. Thorax blinked, before sighing, his eyes shining green for a moment. He was trying to get along with this mare, but it’s SO hard if she won’t even listen! He watched as Lucy followed her. His attention turned to Twilight and Starlight, who were arguing again.

“ YOU KEEP HITTING ME! “

“ IT’S ON ACCIDENT, TWILIGHT! “ Blah, Blah, Blah, he had heard enough to know they were overreacting. It’s “ mare-drama “, like Spike said.

“ UGH! How much longer are they going to keep babbling their mouths! UGHH! “ Chrysalis complained, and he just shrugged.

“ It’ll take a while, bud. “ He patted Chrysalis’s head, which only made her even more mad. She slapped his hoof away, and he kept it away. After a moment, he heard a loud noise. It was Sugar. She was kicking at one of the walls of castle.

“ SUGAR! Don’t do that! “

“ Why not? It!s just a hunk of junk castle. “ She said, still kicking. Chrysalis looked up, and narrowed her eyes.

“ ..Huh. “ She blinked. Thorax drove his hoof at the ground a bit, which turned into a moderate drive, which turned into a extreme one. He trotted toward her, Chrysalis following, but she just crawled for no-real reason.

“ HEY! Hey, don’t kick the wall! “ He waved his hoof at Sugar’s hind legs. Pieces of crystal fell on the ground, there was little holes in the wall. She must be strong.

“ Why not? It’s dumb anyways. “ She kept kicking. Vines wrapped around her legs, lifting her into the air. She flailed around.

“ HEY! PUT ME DOWN! “ She demanded. Thorax just left her, walking away. Lucy tried getting her down, by ripping at the vines. They only grew spikes, and started piercing through Sugar’s coat. She started screaming, and yelling, but Thorax ignored.

“ T-Thorax! The vines! They’re- “

“ Yeah, I know! They’ll get tired eventually. “ He waved his hoof in the air, still walking. He was too frustrated with Twilight and Starlight’s feud, and Sugar’s entrance.

He was gonna take a break.
