Two Souls, One Ling

“ YOU STUPID BUG! “ Sugar screamed, angry. Her hind legs were bleeding like crazy, but were wrapped in bandages.

“ Tch. “ He rolled his eyes, them looking different. Lucy didn’t question it, and assumed it was a Changeling thing.

“ DON’T ROLL YOUR EYES AT ME, YOU—YOU—JERK! “ She hissed, shoving him. He only kept a straight face. After he was alone, peacefully, for 2 hours, Sugar and Lucy came, and he thought, here we go..

“ Look, just..shut up, and stop complaining. “ He said, stepping into the pool of water in the EverFree. Sugar just jumped on top of him, getting jabbed by his really large antlers. She screeched, before falling into the water.

“ Sweet Celestia, lady! At least keep SOME chill. “ He hissed, rubbing his head. She came up from the water, glaring. She leaped on him, avoiding the antlers this time, hitting his head.

“ GET OFF ME! “ He pushes her off, splashing water at her. She did the same. They both started just having a water fight. Lucy Diamond hooped in, stopping them both.

“ Guys, guys! “ She pushed them away from eachother. They both still tried to splash water at eachother, but Lucy blocked most of it.

“ Guys, let’s just...calm down, and— “ She didn’t finish, because Sugar pushed her away, and leaped on Thorax again. He just growled, and grabbed her with vines again, and threw her on the ground. She got up, and they started fighting once again.

“ UGH! GIVE IT A REST, GIRL! “ He slammed her into the water, frowning. Sugar just came up, but swam away. He just stayed in place. Lucy just looked at them both, and felt she needed to do something.

“ ..Ok, guys? Maybe we need to the talk this out? “ She said. Sugar just growled, and Thorax just shrugged.

“ ..What happened to your eyes? “ Lucy asked. Thorax blinked, and looked away. Sugar narrowed her eyes, and came toward him. He just blinked at her, nervously.

“ ..W-What are you doing? “ He asked, backing away. He climbed out of the pool, and backed away a bit more. Sugar climbed out after him, and grabbed him with her two front legs. She looked right into his eyes. His eyes looked like Chrysalis’s.

“ ..Oh my gawd. “ She blinked, looking deep into his eyes. He started to freak out. She shoved him to the ground.

“ CHRYSALIS! SHE’S STILL ALIVE! “ Sugar ran back into the water, diving in. He blinked, confused. He forgot that Chrysalis, along with Cozy Glow, and Tirek, got turned to stone. Now, that made him questioned now she even GOT into his body. Hm.

“ STAY AWAY YOU MONSTER! “ Sugar screamed, holding Lucy close to her. Thorax blinked, and got up. He just walked toward them, feeling a bit bad now. Sugar hissed, holding Lucy close still.

“ ..I-I’m Sorry. “ He sighed, before flying away. Sugar and Lucy watched, as the messed-up Changeling flew away, before he’d do something. Something bad.

“ ..T-Thorax? “ Lucy mumbled, Sugar letting her go.

“ Diamond, are you ok? Did that monster hurt- “ Lucy shoved her away. Sugar seemed surprised. Why did she..push her?

“ W-WHY DID YOU DO THAT?! “ She screamed, really upset at the moment. Sugar Spices could only blink. Was she insane?

“ W-What? “

“ W-Why did you call him a MONSTER! Sure, he did some..awful things to you, but he’s probably just stressed! “ Lucy Diamond yelled, getting out of the pool of water they were in again. The white coated mare just watched her, confused.

“ He’s NOT a MONSTER! I know, because he SAVED me once! “ She huffed, running her hoof at the ground. Sugar got out, and tried to comfort her.

“ But, that wasn’t HIM. That was CHRYSA- “

“ BUT IT WASN’T! “ She screamed, once again.

“ T-Twilight told me, that Thorax..he has a problem..with his ‘ SOUL ‘. He has an ISSUE with his body, Sugar! Sure, it has something to do with Chrysalis, but he’s a GOOD CREATURE! “ She started to cry, softly. Sugar..just watched for a moment, reaching out to her, before pulling away again.

“ ....I-I’m Sorry, Lucy.. “ She apologized. Lucy wiped her eyes, and looked at her.

“ ..I just..need to be alone.. “ She said, before walking away. Sugar watched, feeling awful. She WAS overreacting when she met Thorax. The things he did..was it out of STRESS? Was it really? Things did you rough at the castle, so..maybe..

She had to apologize. To both of them.

“ Where could he have gone? “ She asked herself. He flew away, as he wasn’t on the ground. She just followed a scent. A scent of sorts. A scent of stress, and sorrow. She had this weird ability, where she could sense feelings from afar. But, she didn’t have to use that anymore, as she found a trail of black goo on the ground. The scent was getting stronger! She started speeding up, trotting.

“ Huh? “ She stopped, when she saw the Changeling, sitting. He didn’t make any noise, but she sensed..stress. Anger, and sorrow at the same time? She didn’t have to step an inch, before he spoke, his voice echoing

“ What do you want...? “ He asked, not turning around. Sugar stepped closer.

“ ..I came to apologize. For calling you a monster.. “ She rubbed her leg. Thorax didn’t turn..say a word.

“ ..Lucy..told me about your problem.. “ She mentioned, and that made Thorax react. He sat up straight.

“ ..You do..Huh? “ He turned, his eye the same as it was before. Sugar winced. She HATED those eyes, because of that..TYRANT.

“ ..Y-Yeah.. “ She stepped closer. Thorax, then got up.

“ ......You’re right... “ Sugar got confused.

“ ..I am..a monster.. “ His voice changed for a moment. Sugar winced again, stepping back.

“ ..I can’t blame you. I’ve done harm before, because of this. So..I am a monster...and there’s no point in apologizing.. “ He stared, blankly, his eyes looking at the ground. Sugar sighed, and came toward him. She sat down, and looked at the ground.

“ ..Look, I..the reason I was so..rude, was because..my home, my family..got invaded. “ Sugar explained. Thorax looked down at her, his eyes shining. He sat down next to her, interested.

“ ..When I was 6, my house was invaded by a bunch of Changelings..the evil ones. They kidnapped my mom, dad, and big sister. They spared my little sister, because they thought she wouldn’t do well in their Hive. So, it was me..and my sister..alone. So..even after you all reformed...I still..hold some grudge against Changeling’s. “ She explained, wiping her eyes from tears. Thorax blinked, his eyes going back to normal.

“ ..I’m..so sorry.. “ He rubbed her back, but she didn’t mind at this point. “ You..You didn’t deserve that. You were alone, with no mom..or dad? That’s awful! But, we’re all good now. No need to worry anymore.. “ He smiled. The first time for a while.

“ ..T-Thank you, Thorax., “ She smiled, and giggled a bit. Thorax did the same.

“ No prob— “

“ GUYS!! “ Lucy scared them both, running into the room they were in.

“ L-Lucy! “ Sugar jumped up, and so did Thorax.

“ Guys, something’s wrong with the sky! “ She warmed, running out. They followed, and looked up. Thorax gasped. The clouds were dark purple, and the sun...was black? Then..he noticed something. T-The hybrids..they were in the sky!

“ ..Onyx.. “ He hissed. Sugar, and Lucy heard him, and got..a little worried.

“ Who? “ Lucy asked. Thorax grabbed them both, and hurried out of the forest, the mares riding his back.

“ T-Thorax! What’s going on?! “

“ I’ll explain later! We just need to get back to Twilight’s.. “

“ They’re coming.. “
