Spiders and Nobodies: Life With Sunlight

Sunlight was chasing the monster all across the Everfree Forest. A few times, he had to stop in order to take a few deep breaths. After a few minutes, Sunlight gets a little tired.

"Hey......get...back...here" Sunlight sai while panting.

He gets ready to run again when suddenly, he finds something else. He finds a statue....

"What.....what is this?......Wolf-Spider?....is that you"? Sunlight says as he looks at the statue. "Why did you lead me here"?

Suddenly, a purple glow was coming from the very top of the statue. Sunlight gets curious and flies to the top. What he finds is a glowing, purple rock

"What...what is this"? he says. "Is this some kind of stone"?

Sunlight grabs the mysterious rock and then feels a sudden pain in his head and his eyes began to glow purple.

When he made it to recess, he was just sitting alone in the shade, and he didn’t socialize with anypony. He also had trouble flying, as he never learned how to prior to that day. Even though he didn't have many friends, he did have a companion, who equated to a voice in his head. Just like an imaginary friend.

“You hear about the new pony that got transferred from Cloudsdale?” A unicorn said, sass prevalent in her voice. “I’ve heard he just arrived today.”

“Yeah. I heard he hardly had any friends,” another unicorn said. “I even heard that he can’t fly.”

“HA, what a loser.”

When Midnight heard those voices, it pushed him over the edge. His fur turned hot red, conveying the anger that raged inside of him. Desperate to prove them wrong, Midnight climbed to the roof of the school and got ready to jump. Everypony at the school went outside, watching Midnight from above. Even Celestia herself even showed up.

“MIDNIGHT, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? DON’T DO IT!” Celestia yelled, her voice laced with worry.

Midnight jumped and started flapping his wings. He was sweating all over but managed to get fairly high up. Showing himself behind the sun, he finally proved to everypony that he COULD fly.

However, as he struggled to retain his altitude, there was an explosion that resounded through the air. When everypony looked behind Midnight, they found a massive ring of rainbow light passing the sky. The blast was coming right for Midnight, but he was so focused on staying aloft that he didn't see the ring headed for him. Everypony tried to tell him to turn around but that didn’t help at all.

“MIDNIGHT, WATCH OUT” Celestia screamed.

Her voice managed to reach him and he turned around to look, but was too late. He was quickly caught up in the blast. He started falling to the ground, the shockwave leaving him unconscious. Celestia tried to save him but was too late. He literally crashed into the ground. When the dust cleared up, everypony watched in awe as Midnight simply got back up. The impact had apparently woken him up immediately.

“Woah… What happened?” Midnight asked, feeling a little woozy.

“Are you okay?” Celestia asked Midnight, searching over him for injury.

She was scared but Midnight simply shrugged it off, saying he was going home. He didn’t feel well, like he was going to be sick. He began walking away, not saying a word. As he walked, his fur turned a deep shade of blue. He thought that was a complete waste of his own time and just made a fool out of himself in front of the whole school. But the real question on everypony's mind was how did he survive that blast from the sonic rainboom?

Sunlight screams and throws the rock out of fear and backs away.

"That..exlposion....my mother....WHAT DID I SEE"?! Sunlight shouted "And that power! What kind of power was that"?!

Sunlight looks at the rock once more and decides....to bury it for now.

"I gotta tell my mom"! Sunlight says as he runs off. But while he was running, the purple rock started to glow again and a mysterious shadow stood right in front of the spot it was buried.

Sunlight made it out of the Everfree Forest and made his way back to the school. The Cutie Mark Crusaders ran up to him and hugged him with tears in their eyes.

Sunlight was panting but seeing the three girls gave him a relief.

"We were so worried about you, Sunlight"! Scootaloo said.

"Yeah. We thought something terrible happened to you" Sweetie Belle said.

"We thought we wouldn't see you again" Applebloom finished.

"It's alright, girls. But I need to speak with my mother. There's something in the forest that I've discovered and I need answers to" Sunlight replied.

"Are you sure? You looked pretty washed up. You sure you don't need to see Zecora to help heal you"? Scootaloo asked.

"I'm sure, girls. I'll be back soon" Sunlight replied as he begins to run off".

The Cutie Mark Crusaders stare at Sunlight as he runs off in the distance with concern in their hearts. Meanwhile at the top of the school, a cloaked figure was standing and watching.

"He looks a lot like the fallen hero...and yet....he will lead us to it." the mystious colt in a cloack said as his eyes glowed yellow. "It's time to send in the puppet".

The colt in the cloak disappears but meanwhile in the borderline between the Everfree Forest, a mysterious pony appears with a cloak of his/her own. The pony looks at the distance with grey eyes and begins to walk towards Ponyville.

"I will bring back the stone, my master" the mysterious pony said. "He will show us the way....and he shall be destroyed".

The scene starts to move away from the pony with the black cloack and into the city of Canterlot. A lot of questions must be answered from here on out and Sunlight knows that his mother, Princess Celestia knows them.
