Spiders and Nobodies: Life With Sunlight

Princess Celestia was minding her own buisness, reading a book named "The Seven Princesses of Heart" when suddenly, her son, Sunlight, barges in with a serious look on his face.

"Mom, we need to talk" Sunlight said.

"What is it, sweetie"? Celestia asks her son.

"I've been...having these....dreams...and visions, latley".

Celestia stands up and walks towards Sunlight and with a confused look on her face.

"What do ya mean"? Celestia asks.

"I keep seeing this colt....he looks a lot like me.....I think his name was......Midnight"? Sunlight replies.

Celestia stands there in shock. Did she just hear what she thought she heard? Only one way to find out.

"Who"? Celestia lies

"Midnight...Midnight Wolf....who is he, really"?

"Son....there's a lot of things in Equestria that even I don't understand. From what I hear......you were once Midnight Wolf...in a previous life".

"Previous life? Mom, what do you mean by that"?

"There's a legend that a long time ago, that this pony was the first to ever walk Equestria. Nobody knew who he was. But legend has it that everytime he died, he would return but as somepony else with rare memories of his previous life".

"Are you saying that...I was once Midnight Wolf"?

"Possibly. But know that you're still my son".

Sunlight stands there in shock of what she told him. Was he really the first pony in equestria that kept on dying? He needs to know more.

"Does that explain...my cutie mark"? He asks.

"In a way. But know that your cutie mark makes you special, no matter what it looks like".

"I.......I need to be alone........need some time to take this in".

Celestia walks up to her son and gently hugs him. Sunlight stood there but soon hugs back and smiles.

"Thanks mom...for telling me the truth" Sunlight said.

"Anything for my son" Celesita replied. "And if you have trouble, talk to Aunt Luna. I'm sure she'll be happy to help".

"I'll keep that in mind".

They depart from their hug and Sunlight walks away to go clear his head.

Later on, Sunlight was standing on his balcony outside his room, looking at the moon and sighs.

"So........am I really Midnight Wolf....or just another one of his wasted lives"? Sunlight said to himself.

Suddenly, he hears a voice call out to him that said "You are so much more than another incarnation, my boy".

Sunlight turned around, startled, to see a mysterious pony in a cloak.

"W-who are you and how did you get in my room" Sunlight asked the dark hooded figure.

"How I got here is of no importance...as for my name......I've been called many names........Ansem..........Xehanort....but you can call me.........Xemnas" the figure knowned as Xemnas anwsered. "My my...you have grown a lot since the last time I saw you".

"W-What are you talking about, Xemnas, or whatever your name is"!?

"You don't remember, don't you?...That's right. You were just a baby when me and your so-called mother fought. Oh, if could accept the real truth".

"STOP PLAYING MIND GAMES WITH ME!!! TELL ME WHY ARE YOU HERE"!!!

"I'm here to tell you the real truth. You're what's called a "nobody". That's what you really are".

"W-what do you mean by a nobody"?

"A nobody is the body and soul of a strong-willed individual who has lost their heart...in your case...Midnight's heart".

"What?....I'm not just another incarnation"?

"Is that what she told you? A pity. I must go now. But know this. We will meet again......may your heart be your guiding key".

"WAIT! I need more answers"!!!

Xemnas disappears into the darkness without a trace. Sunlight stands there in shock. But as soon as he snaps out of it, he runs out of his room with tears in his eyes. What did he just hear?

Sunligt finds himelf at the statue of Midnight Wolf in the rain. He looks down to see his reflection in a puddle, then look back. Tears begin to run down his face as he smashes the puddle with his bare hoofs.

"Is this who I am?....Just another Midnight Wolf"? Sunlight asks himself.

"That's not true" a familiar voice calls out to him from behind. It was Princess Luna. "What are you doing here, it's late. you're mother's worried sick".

"Then why didn't she tell me the truth"?!

"What do you mean"?

"I know everything. I know that I'm a nobody. Xemnas told me"!

"Xemnas?!...how did you-"

"He came to my room, a few hours ago, and explained everything! That's how! Now tell me! WHO AM I"?!

"........you're my nephew. And that's the most important thing of all. You're not Midnight Wolf. You're Sunlight Star".

Sunlight stands there in silance while Luna walks up to him.

"Listen, Nobodies are just monsters that have no hearts. But you're a different Nobody. You have a heart. And you're my adorable little monster".

Sunlight chuckles at that remark and after a few laughs, sunlight hugs his aunt.

"We're all the same. We're both ponies.....Xemnas just doesn't see that".

Sunlight smiles and says "I'll make him see it. I'll be the best nobody in all of Equestria"!

"hehe....oh I bet you will" Luna said as he begins to tickle Sunlight like a little child as Sunlight bursts out laughing.

Out in the distance, Xemnas watches Luna and Sunlight as he removes his hood.

"The best nobody in all of Equestria, huh? This calls for a celebration" He says as he walks away into the shadows of the night.
