The End Pt 2

Rarity had been up all night working on her next line of clothing, she needed to be ready in before spring came with a full new line to sell. Her business depended on it and now that she ran a chain... she had employees counting on her ability to create and sell new ideas. The first few dress designs had come easily and established the theme of her line... but now she was having trouble establishing enough unique designs to fill in the rest of the line. Suffice it to say it was tiring work.
She sat on the floor surrounded by a mess of fabric of many colors, behind her a small pile of scrapped ideas, beside her were the three designs that she did approve of displayed on mannequins.
Her work was interrupted by a knock on her door. Rarity got up and went over to her store's main entrance to answer it. She opened the door to find the local mailmare Derpy.
Derpy's expression was grim and serious. Tho there was something else there as well. She seemed unusually fazed, Fidgety. As tho, she'd just seen something horrible.
"what can I do for you darling" Rarity said cordially.
Derpy just flatly said... with very little emotion, "Applejack and Rainbow Dash are in the Emergency room, I've been sent to inform you.
Rarity immediately understood and went to trot in the hospital's direction. Before she could leave the doorway Derpy stopped her.
"There's something else as well, But I'll tell you when all the others are together."
Rarity began to wonder what this could mean as she ran to the hospital.
Derpy ran to the Ponyville police station to report what she had seen
Twilight popped into existence before an odd lonely white cottage with grass covering its roof. The cottage belonged to her friend and ally Fluttershy. She figured it would be more polite to not magically pop into her house without knocking first.
And so she did just that, and while the door was answered... it was not answered by the pony Twilight was searching for. It was not answered by a pony at all. Rather a very tall mixture of creatures, a draconequus.
His name was Discord. He was an asshole. He was Fluttershy's colt friend. Twilight disliked him greatly.
Of course, her opinion of him was not at all helped by the many MANY times he had intentionally messed with her specifically. Her duties as a princess, which gradually grew in scope every year, were not made any easier or less exhausting by a spirit of chaos showing up unannounced, bending the walls and taunting her.
Needless to say, she did not understand what her friend saw in him And seeing him answer her door... him being in her house, with her... at night... the potential implications brought flashes of images she did not want to conjure of her dear sweet friend.
"You seem shocked to see me your highness" Discord said amused. "I assume it.s not me you're here to see."
"What are you doing here?" Twilight asked flatly.
"what do you think I'm doing here?" he responded.
Twilight's look of disgust gave discord his answer.
"disgusted by the idea of ponies and non-ponies together princess?" he probed.
"what? no, I just..." she mumbled trying to defend herself, Giving Discord the reaction he wanted.
"Sweety who's at the door," a soft voice called from inside the cottage.
"Just a bigoted princess who seems to oppose mating between races." Discord taunted.
Twilight's face flushed white with embarrassment.
Fluttershy strolled over to the door with a sly rebuttal, "I'm sure her opinion has nothing to do with the way you always bother her"
Once again Discord feigned offense "Why I would never"
Twilight interrupted the interaction to address Fluttershy, "I need to speak to you" she paused and glared at Discord as she said, "alone"
Deputy Buckshot was very bored. He was alone in the station covering the night shift, he had drawn the short straw. He enjoyed the extra pay from the overtime, however... he was exhausted, a whole day working on those 15 missing persons cases and still no closer to the answer. Damn it one of them was a kid. Usually, in Equestria, the law enforcement essentially served to enforce minor violations. Serious crimes were not something they were actually handled or experienced to deal with. Even departments in major cities rarely actually had anything to solve. Manehatten apparently had 1 homicide in the last decade. So why did he have to get stuck in small-town with 15 disappearances?.
As he pondered in his boredom he heard the door open. He looked up from his desk to see the towns mailmare Derpy Hooves walk in the door, her expression grim.
"I uh, need you to come down to Sugarcube Corner," she said, trying to keep her composure.
He started to question why but she cut him off.
"I can't ... I can't explain it... in words... you're just gonna have to see for yourself"
