This Little Twisted World of Ours
Only The Beginning

Chernobog sat alone on top of a hill. It was already seven in the morning, despite it feeling like only a couple minutes just passed by. He stared at the sunrise, planning his next attack in his head. He didn't know why, but he had a strange gut feeling that told him this wasn't going to be as easy as he previously thought. He wiped his face with his hand, blowing out air while standing back up on his feet to make his way towards Canterlot, his next victims.
Godfell
Godfell sat in a chair outside, relaxing before the big conflict arose. His head twitched at the sound of hooves trotting over to him, opening an eye to see who it was. It looked like the girls, but with Twilight nowhere to be seen. He consciously shrugged and lifted himself up from his relaxing position, sitting straight.
"What brings you here?" Godfell questioned.
Rarity answered for them before anypony else could, taking a few more steps toward him. "It's Twilight. She's... gone!"
"Oh... well that doesn't... sound good." He scratched his chin. "Especially right before the big day ahead of us. Maybe we shouldn't have left her alone, hm?"
Rainbow butted herself in "Well, it was your fault. You just had to be 'real,' as you put it."
"Yes, because I forced the five of you to leave her as well. I merely left to give her space, but I never said YOU had to. Regardless what your little mind thinks, putting blame on me won't solve the situation." He stood up out of his chair, throwing it away.
"While ah'd love to sit and chat, we probably should be finding Twilight?"
"Let's be real for a moment. If Twilight did leave the luxury of her castle, odds are she did it out of spite of Chernobog. And if that much is true then... she could be dead. I'm guaranteeing it, but Chernobog is an apathetic motherfucker. That's what happens when you become a demon. He doesn't spare anything or anyone."
Fluttershy couldn't help but respond to his comment, sounding more assertive than her usual self. "Don't be so negative! It's you that said we should be more confident about ourselves during this."
"Well, I guess that is right, but what else can I say? Ya don't like the heat, then get out of the kitchen."
She furrowed her brow, the others looking relatively the same.
"Alright, alright. She's probably not dead. I would think she's smart enough to NOT go alone. Is that what you wanted to hear?"
Fluttershy firmly nodded to him. "Now that we got that out of the way, can we please start searching for her?"
"If you truly insist, then we might as well." Without any other word, Godfell began happily walking down a pathway while the others followed behind him.
Twilight
Running and flying across Equestria frantically was Twilight, trying her hardest to find Chernobog and confront his monsterous tyranny once and for all. She'd been at it for hours now, and despite the fatigue she showed, she continued her search.
She suddenly stopped her running, skidding across the dirt ground a bit. She saw a figure in the distance walking across the hills. She quickly straightened herself and flew over, confident it was him.
Chernobog detected her closing in on her, cocking his head in her direction. This made her stop once more, glaring up at the beast.
A cocky grin plastered over his face, turning his body to her. "Oh? What do we have here... another princess." He turned his hand over to reveal his palm, a crimson ball of magic charging into it. "Don't go anywhere, will you?"
Twilight bared her teeth and took steps toward him, her fear being drowned out by anger. "YOU! YOU DESTROYED THE CRYSTAL EMPIRE AND CARELESSLY KILLED CADENCE!"
Chernobog chuckled. "I love the way you caress your rage and hatred... it makes me hungry." With a swipe of his arm, the ball of magic was swung at her.
Twilight would form her shield, but it was shattered by the force of his attack, making her skid a foot away. She sprinted, shooting a beam at Chernobog's head as a counterattack, but failed to make it land as he simply sidestepped away from it.
"You magic types are all the same. You have no originality in your attacks, let alone a good, proper stance!" He shouted, his voice booming. The demon came threateningly close to Twilight, making her feel the radiating heat that came from his aura. It nearly burned even. She backed away, her fear slowly returning to her. Her legs began to shake, tripping over herself just to back away.
Chernobog raised his hammer, overshadowing her. Her eyes became widened as the massive hammer was swung towards her side. Out of pure instinct, she instantly teleported away just moments before the hammer would strike her.
"Pathetic. And she was known as royalty to these disgusting animals..."
Mane 6
As usual, The Mane 6 ran about as if they were Globe Trotters, trying to find Twilight before anything else. Ironically, Twilight found them, teleporting right in front of them. They all toppled over each other in surprise, but was ultimately glad and happy to find Twilight perfectly fine.
The feeling wasn't mutual, though, as the frightened Twilight looked at the girls with a frown on her face. She was still a bit shook from what just happened. The silence was cut short when Pinkie jumped in to hug her with a joyful smile on her face, but noticed Twilight looked a bit off. Her smile faded into a worried look.
"Twilight? Are you okay?"
No answer.
"Twiiiiliiight"
Pinkie shook her, snapping her put of her strange catatonic state.
"Wha- oh! Hey, guys!" She grinned nervously.
The others simply stared in confusion for a few seconds before returning a smile.
"Ah'm glad your doin' okay, Sugarcube!" Applejack would straighten her hat.
"Yeah! We were worried you died!" Pinkie said in a rather enthusiastic tone.
"What? No! I just... went for a walk is all. Nothing to it!" She let out two faint chuckles.
"Riiight... shouldn't we be getting ready by now?" Rainbow questioned.
The girls all agreed, Twilight being increasingly pushy just so they could get a move on. Eventually they all returned to the castle for one last briefing and soon enough, confront Chernobog to end it before complete chaos ensues.
Godfell
Godfell had broken up from the group a while ago, but they didn't really question it, considering that the entire nature of Godfell was totally alien to them. He wanted to get into Ponyville and socialize so nobody saw him as some edgy villain. It worked for the most part, but not everypony wanted to talk.
After about an hour of meeting ponies, he took a rest at a small hill. He knew relaxation was going to be limited, so he made use of it while he could.
One minute, it was perfectly silent, but the next, Godfell was sent skidding across the hills from a rogue punch. He lowered his back, digging his fingers in the ground to slow himself down, growling. "You have got to be kidding me..." He straightened up, glaring through the scenery to find the culprit.
Chernobog landed heavily about ten feet away from Godfell, cracking his neck. A fight seemed to be brewing, and it wasn't going to be pretty.
