Chrysalis, after her Hive’s destruction, finds a way to possibly bring back all that was lost. She’s not alone in her want for said way.

The Canterlot Invasion was the first hostile action against Equestria in a thousand years. Instead of being a grand victory, it was a humiliating defeat. Changelings were sent flying by a blast of pure love energy, overloading them. Now, Chrysalis is left to pick up the pieces, all alone.

The alleyways of Canterlot are known for their darkness. A perfect place for a creature to hide, and bide their time.
