The first thing that touched my senses was the rich smell of something sweet and nice as we entered the shop, entering the shop I was meet with bright colors right out of some children's book. It seemed what the word...cartoony? I believe that is the word if not I'm sorry.

Yet as Cam turned to me with a smile as she pulled me into this little sweet place I felt some joy in it, I don't know why though. We walked over to a counter as she gave me the 'wait here' hand sign as I nodded as she walked over to the desk to a blue fur pony was standing behind it and smiled as she looked at the Cat lady.

"Oh hello Cam welcome back," The pony said with a smile as Cam nodded.

"Hey Mrs. Cake I'm just here to treat a friend of mine," Cam said as Mrs. cake looked to me before smiling as she turned back over to her.

"Oh, a boy? I didn't know you were the dating type," She said as I blushed slight so did Cam.

"No, its not like that he's my new partner and I'm just showing him around and one of my favorite places to eat," Cam said rubbing the back of her head.

"Well then what will it be sweetie?" She asked to which Cam smiled.

"Two of my usual," She said as Mrs. Cake nodded as she turned to the machine on the counter and opened it, was she giving some of her ration slips for me?

She didn't have to...wait is that gold?! Going wide-eyed she gave the gold to the pony who then put it in the machine before a few pushing in a few buttons and the machine opened before putting the gold into it. Confused in why she was doing this I was about to say something but Cam walked over after getting a small piece of paper from the pony and grabbed me taking us to a table. Sitting down in the surprisingly comfortable seats they had I looked at Cam who looked back at me with a smile as she held the piece of paper.

"So is gold a currency here?" I asked to which Cam spoke.

"Kinda they call bits here...say what kinda currency do your people have?" She asked as I placed a hand on my chin as I began to think.

"Well we don't really have a currency but some worlds do like ration stamps but the most famous one are small coins called thrones," I said as she lit up slightly.

"Interesting so what is your home like you never really told me yesterday you did say it was extremely important to the Imperium," She asked as I sighed sadly.

"Cadia fell to the despoiler," I told her as she frowned I did tell her who the black legion of chaos was and all but still it hit her hard as she grabbed my hand with hers.

"I'm sorry...how did you survive?" She asked.

"My company was off-world when it happened to which we were apart of defensive force against the Xeno's known as dark Eldar," I told her as she frowned.

"How did you find out," She asked as I held my shoulder.

"I found out by out commissar who fell to his knees after we won pushing the Eldar forces back...I never seen him cry before until then. Somehow that told me everything I needed to know, and it tore me apart, my mother and my sisters where on Cadia when it fell to the despoiler," I said as Cam lowered her head.

"Again I'm sorry I didn't know," She told me as I shrugged.

"It's fine I've gotten used to it," I said she looked at me with sorrow in her eyes.

"How? How are you used to it?" She asked as I shrugged.

"Guess its just how the galaxy works yes I was sad its just...*sigh*...how the galaxy can be," I told her as she held my hand.

"Hey if you ever want to take about it I'm here buddy were friends after all right?" She asked as I looked at her.

"Friend? Of course we are I mean you made me your partner when we just meet yesterday," She smiled as she let go of my hand.

"Well, my mom said I always had a keen eye on those I can trust," She told me as I smiled.

"Sounds like a good mom," I said as she nodded before frowning.

"I miss her though," She said as I connected the dots.

"Cam...*She looked up at me* I understand your pain," I said as she nodded.

"I bet you do," she said as I gently rubbed her hand with my thumb.

"Aw look at you two sweet things," A new voice said as Cam and I blushed when we turned our heads to the source of the voice to see Mrs. Cake holding two trays of what I assumed was Cam's usual.

We blushed before moving our hands as she gave as a smile before placing the strange food on the table.

Looking down at it my mouth began to water at the sight of it as Mrs. cake told us to enjoy our meal, as I looked at it Cam smiled at me as she saw the look on my face.

"What are you waiting for dig in," Cam said as she grabbed her knife and fork as I looked down and grabbed mine.

Grabbing and cutting into these 'pancakes' I stabbed them with my fork and then raised them into my mouth where I closed and began to chew on them.

'By the emperor!'

It's so good!

"Like it?" Cam asked as I look at her as if she was crazy.

"Like it? Hells no! I FRAKING LOVE IT!" I shout as I began to tear into the pancakes as she laughed as she smiled.

"Yeah like this place now?"

I began to nod as she looked at me with a smile.

"*GASP!*" As I stop my attack on the pancakes I turn to see two ponies at the door that looked at us one of them was a cream-colored pony while the other was a mint green that was pointing at me.

"A HUMAN!"
