“What’s wrong?” Adamant asked after getting startled from the sudden outburst.

“S-sorry but you mean to tell me this is the five-hundred year old missing Soul-weapon that Coal Sparks created?” The secretary asked in a shocked tone.

“I mean why wouldn’t it be, how else would you explain my boosted stats, my new abilities and this mark?” Adamant replied before showing her the mark on his hand.

“O-oh my...Adamant, your Soul-weapon is the one Coal Sparks created...which means that the story of it’s creation is real and not only is it infused with phoenix soul but also means that it’s bound to you!” The secretary exclaimed in excitement.

“Um yea I was told that by my grandfather but can I please just register for the tournament and magic classes already?” Adamant asked in a bit of annoyance.

“O-oh yea sorry, c-coming right up!” The secretary replied in embarrassment after handing Adamant back Crimson Feather. “S-so you’ve pretty much f-fit all the requirements, however I just need to know your Soul-weapon’s name…”

“It’s Crimson Feather…” Adamant replied as he placed Crimson Feather to his belt..

“Alrighty then, you’re registered for the tournament, as for the magic classes you’re going to have to talk to the guidance counselor for that!” The secretary explained. “Don’t worry she’s free right now so go ahead and knock on her door!”

“Okay, thank you!” Adamant replied before heading to the guidance counselor’s office and knocking on the door.

“Come in!” The counselor exclaimed to which Adamant did so. “Please, have a seat!”

“Thanks…” Adamant replied before sitting down.

“So then what’s your name and what do you need?” The guidance counselor asked.

“I’m Adamant Blade and I would like to transfer to some magic classes” He explained explained.

“Alright, do you have a preference on what type?” The guidance counselor asked.

“Um any physical or combat based magic classes would be nice” Adamant requested.

“Okay...oh there’s one physical class available which is taught by Mr Iron Will and there’s a combat magic class available which is taught by Ms Spitfire, which one would you like?” The guidance counselor asked.

“Combat with Ms Spitfire” Adamant replied without a second thought.

“Okay, and is this your first time using magic?” The secretary asked.

“Y-yea…” Adamant replied with a bit of embarrassment.

“Okay then I’ll also give you a magic basics class as well, is that okay?” The guidance counselor asked.

“Yea, but um how come you didn’t pull up my file or something?” Adamant asked.

“Oh it’s because when someone gets any changes to their stats or skills their file automatically updates to include any changes; and since my office is next to the front desk I was able to hear everything and not have to look up your file!” The guidance counselor explained.

“Ah okay, thanks” Adamant replied. “Though I still don’t understand…”

“You’re welcome and your new schedule will be ready tomorrow morning so stop by the front desk to get it before you go to class!” The guidance counselor explained.

“Okay, thank you, have a good day!” Adamant replied when the bell signaling the end of break time sounded.

“Thanks, you to!” She exclaimed before Adamant left for his next class.

As soon as Adamant got settled in to his class he pulled out his phone to text Rainbow Dash the news. “Hey RD guess what?”

“What?” Rainbow Dash replied.

“I registered for the tournament and will be able to attend some magic classes tomorrow!” Adamant explained.

“Noice, but what about your stats and abilities?” Rainbow Dash questioned.

“Well apparently my stats including my magic have quadrupled, also you were right with the hearing because I have fire powers, flight, healing as we already knew, immortality, enhanced hearing, eyesight butthe two other abilities that are kinda weird...and I don’t really know what they do” Adamant sent. “Also Crimson Feather is like five-hundred y/o”

“Whoa and wdym?” Rainbow Dash sent.

“Well...one of them is armor manifestation which ig sounds kinda simple but the other one is called ‘blade manipulation’ and honestly I have never heard of that one” Adamant explained.

“What the? I’ve never heard of either one of those abilities before, what do they do?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“Well idk what blade manipulation does but as for the other one I’m assuming I can summon some armor but idk if it’s a full suit or not so” Adamant replied. “But starting tomorrow I’m going to be in magic basics and Ms Spitfire’s magic combat class”

“I see, well I hope you get to join the same class of hers that I’m in lol” Rainbow Dash replied. “But for now cya at lunch”

“Same lol and kk cya” Adamant sent before putting his phone away and starting on a worksheet.

Two classes later Adamant was waiting by the library’s entrance and was on his phone when a rainbow blur near slammed into the wall beside him.

“Hey Rainbow” Adamant greeted before putting his phone away.

“Heya Adamant, you ready to meet my friends and our teammate for the tournament?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“Yea!” Adamant replied.

“Alright follow me!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed before heading towards the cafeteria with Adamant following her.

“So um Dash, what are your friends like, is there anything I should be wary of?” Adamant asked.

“For the most part no except for Fluttershy, she’s really timid so try not to do anything that might startle or scare her and don’t be upset if she doesn’t speak to you right away or make eye contact” Rainbow Dash explained. “But all of them are really great, trust me!”

“Okay?” Adamant replied as the two entered the cafeteria only to be met with a squeal and a girl shouting. “Ohmygoshthey’refinallyhere!”

“Pinkie Pie don’t you dare, I haven’t even introduced him yet!” Rainbow Dash commanded.

“Aw but Dashie” Pinkie Pie protested.

“Fine but can it wait until I introduce him?” Rainbow Dash asked.

“Okeydokeyloki!” Pinkie Pie exclaimed.

“Thank you, now then everyone this is my other childhood friend besides Fluttershy, Gilda, his name is Adamant Blade, he’s going to be joining Applejack and I for the tournament!” Rainbow Dash introduced after Adamant stepped out from behind her.

“Hi, it’s great to meet all of you!” Adamant added.

“Hiii I’m Pinkie Pie, nice to meet you!” She explained after disappearing and reappearing a foot in front Adamant, startaling him.

“Uh h-hi?” He replied after managing to not fall flat on his butt.

Pinkie Pie was wearing a baby-blue headband, snow-white tank-top with three balloons on the front, two blue, one yellow in the middle, she was also wearing a cotton candy-pink to bubblegum-pink skirt over some snow-white leggings and had on taffy-pink, baby-blue shoes.

Pinkie Pie then smiled before disappearing and reappearing back at the table where her friends are.

“Uh…” Adamant started but couldn’t really process what had just happened.

“Don’t worry about it dude, she’s like that to just about anybody she meets” Rainbow Dash explained.

“Um okay but what about all that disappearing and reappearing?” Adamant asked.

“Easy, Pinkie Pie here is the descendant of the ancient Lord of Chaos, Discord, but she’s the only one in her family that inherited his magic” One of the girls sitting at the table that Pinkie Pie was at explained before introducing herself. “I’m Sunset Shimmer, it’s great to meet you!”

Sunset was currently wearing an oil-black leather jacket over a sky-blue dress, a translucent gold colored skirt, sand-blue jeans and charcoal-gray boots with a flame-orange line on the front.

“Nice to meet you to…” Adamant replied.

“Darling it’s nice to meet you...oh my god that sword is beautiful!” One of the three remaining girls shouted upon seeing Crimson Feather. “Where did you get it?”

“That’s Rarity, she’s kinda obsessed with fashion…” Rainbow Dash explained. “But why don’t we sit down.”

Rarity was wearing an aqua-colored long sleeved shirt that was tucked into a lilac-colored skirt which was being held up by a jet-black belt with a gold buckle, on the front-left side of the skirt was three sky-blue diamonds, gold bracelets and violet knee-high heels.

“Okay” Adamant replied before him and Rainbow Dash sat down at the table where her friends were at.

“Oh darling I’m not obsessed with fashion, fashion is everything!” Rarity responded after huffing. “But seriously where did you get the gorgeous sword?”

“Uh from my grandparents’ attic, why?” Adamant questioned.

“Because it’s beautiful, especially that gem in the middle of the guard!” Rarity replied.

“Well I have to agree with you, the craftsmanship is the best I’ve ever seen!” Adamant replied before adding. “Despite the fact that Crimson Feather’s five-hundred years old it’s edge looks to be as sharp as the day it was crafted.

“Um excuse me but who in tarnation is Crimson Feather?” Another one of the girls asked. “Also the name’s Applejack, good to meet ya!”

“Oh yea she’s the second member of our tournament team!” Rainbow Dash explained to Adamant.

“Cool, also this is Crimson Feather” Adamant replied while pointing to his Soul-weapon.

“You named your Soul-weapon?” Sunset asked.

“Yea, I know it’s weird but it felt like I had to…” Adamant explained.

“I-I’m Fluttershy...n-nice to meet y-you...” The last girl at the table muttered.

“Nice to meet you to Fluttershy” Adamant replied.

Fluttershy was wearing a long blue-green dress that had a sea foam-green trimmings on the bottom, a taffy-pink line on the waist of the dress with an egg-shell white butterfly on the front, three more taffy-pink butterflies on the front-right hand side of the dress near the trimmings and taffy-pink knee-high ballerina shoes.

“Wait you heard what she was saying?” Sunset asked.

“Yea, it’s one of my new abilities that I have thanks to Crimson Feather!” Adamant explained.

“Darling forgive me for not making myself cleared but I meant who forged your..erm Crimson Feather?” Rarity asked. “I would really love a necklace from them.

“Well that may be a bit hard as you see he’s been dead for like four-hundred or five-hundred years…” Adamant explained.

“Whatever do you mean? Surely he can’t be dead” Rarity replied.

“Well have you heard of a famous blacksmith named Coal Sparks?” Adamant asked.

“Yea the famous blacksmith who could make weapons that were on the same level of Soul-weapons, why?” Sunset questioned.

“Well he’s my ancestor and Crimson Feather was supposedly the last sword he ever crafted” Adamant explained “Well at least according to my grandpa and all the stories about Crimson Feather.

“S-so you mean to tell me all that stuff Rainbow Dash told me about Crimson Feather is true?” Applejack asked.

“Pretty much” Adamant replied.

“Coool” Pinkie Pie exclaimed after popping up from behind Adamant.

“Holy-” Adamant shouted out of surprise.

“Pinkie!” Rainbow Dash scolded.

“Hehe sorry” Pinkie Pie replied after giggling.

“But there’s still one thing that’s bothering me, why did your grandparents have Crimson Feather in their attic, instead of giving it to a museum or something?” Sunset questioned.

“Well from what I was told it’s a family heirloom that my grandparents wanted to give me on my eighteenth birthday” Adamant explained while shrugging.

“Okay?...Well anyway how do you know Rainbow Dash?” Sunset asked.

“We met at his grandfather’s dojo when we were little and kinda became best-friends/rivals” Rainbow Dash explained.

“Plus we both like Kendo, Fencing and HEMA” Adamant added.

“Not to mention you’re a pretty big sword geek” Rainbow Dash teased.

“Hey!” Adamant retorted. “At least I was able to hold a Shinai during the first two lessons!”

“I-I…” Rainbow Dash tried to say before blushing from embarrassment.

“Wait Rainbow couldn’t hold a Shinai when she was younger?” Sunset asked.

“Yea well unlike Adamant I wasn’t taught from the moment I could walk!” Rainbow Dash exclaimed. “Plus now days I either win or we’re tied.”

“Eh fair enough” Adamant replied before him and Rainbow Dash busted out laughing.

“Wow you two are really good friends…” Sunset exclaimed.

“You bet!” Both Rainbow Dash and Adamant replied in unison.

“But I have a question, do any of you know what blade manipulation is?” Adamant asked.

Everyone at the table shook their head.

“Sorry I’ve never heard of it before” Sunset replied.

“Me neither” Rarity added.

“Oh okay…” Adamant exclaimed after sighing. “It’s apparently one of my new abilities.”

“I see…” Sunset replied. “Sorry, I’ve never heard of it before.

“Eh it’s okay” Adamant replied. “I’ll ask Ms Spitfire or whoever my magic basics teacher is tomorrow.”

“What other abilities do you have?” Pinkie Pie asked before taking a cupcake out of hair and proceeding to eat it.

“Um I think I have fire manipulation, flight, enhanced eyesight, enhance hearing, armor manifestation, healing and immortality” Adamant replied.

“That’s...a lot of abilities” Sunset commented. “Are you sure that you have all of those?”

“That’s what showed up on the gauge tablet…” Adamant explained with a shrug. “But the two I’ve only used so far was the enhance hearing and healing I guess.”

“Cool” Sunset replied.

“I suppose” Adamant exclaimed.

The seven of them continued to chat for the rest of lunch before the bell rang, having them go to their next two classes before heading home.

“Well it was great meeting you, see you tomorrow!” Sunset exclaimed.

“Yea, see ya’ll later sugarcube” Applejack added.

“Byeeeee” Pinkie Pie exclaimed while Fluttershy simply waved.

“Bye darling, have a good rest of the day!” Rarity added.

“Thanks, it was good meeting you as well” Adamant replied before heading home.
