The Master and The Apprentice

As the spell had completed its task, Oscar's body fell to the floor lying lifeless as Chris groaned in frustration. "Isabelle..."

Isabelle huffed, "Chris, he tried to molest me! It was in self-defense."

Chris raised his voice, "You used magic on a non-blood in a public place! What are we gonna do about the body? Alistair is gonna find out about this sooner or later, won't he?"

Isabelle brushed him off, "Pft, like he's ever going to find out."

Oh? Well that’s funny, because I think he already does. Isabelle and Chris were teleported outside behind the tavern as a blue fox statue hovering in the air uncloaked itself in front of their eyes. I'm not happy Isabelle, not happy one bit.

Isabelle was caught off guard by her masters sudden entrance, "A-Alistair... h-how long have you been watching us?"

Oh, not too long. I was in the immediate area removing one of my exes curses when all of a sudden, I see a soul flying outside of the very bar you two were standing in. The cursed sorcerer levitated in front of her face. Care to explain, Isabelle?

The apprentice laughed nervously, "U-um... I-"

On second thought, it doesn't matter whether or not you tell me. You're going to fix this mess you've made, Teleporting Oscar's body into Chris' arms, Alistair continues. Starting... now.

Isabelle was flabbergasted, "Y-y-you can't be serious! I don't even know where his soul even went to, it could be across the entire multiverse for all I know."

That's not my problem, and yet i'll give you my word of advice. The sorcerer sighed. There is still a bit of soul residue inside his body, that should be enough for a tracking spell to find which dimension he's currently in. That's all I'm going to tell you. He turned his gaze to Chris. And I expect you to help her out as well, Mixling.

"Me? Why should I have to help her?" Chris asked confused

Well for one thing, I don't want her to be left all by herself to clean up her mistake in some offset world. And two, I don't trust her completely to not mess something up along the way. Isabelle growled. That's why I trust you to help out.

Chris spoke up, "Um, hello? What about my family, wouldn't they be worried to find me gone? What about my mom and step-dad?"

Alistair retorted. Call one of your siblings and inform them of this situation, they'll summon a construct to take your place so your parents don't have to worry. Its as simple as that.

"And I'm guessing you want to inform my dad on this as well. Right, Alistair?" Isabelle spoke in deadpan

The Fox nodded. Correct, just use your mobile devices and send them a message. His voice became more serious as he hovered in front of his apprentice glaring. And I expect to see results, Isabelle.

Teleporting away, Isabelle and Chris pondered their thoughts as they stood in shock.

After calming back down, Chris set down the mans body as he pulled out his phone and started to make a call. After about a couple of minutes had passed, the automatic voice message of his sister Jessica came through the phone, "Hi, this is Jessica Young. You just missed me but leave a message and I'll talk to you later. Bye!" After the beep sounded, Chris closed the call groaning. "Jessica..."

Then dialing the number for his other sister, after waiting several minutes the voice of his familiar sibling spoke through. "Hey, Chris. What's up? How's the bar date with Isabelle going?"

Chris heard his girlfriend groan as he responded, "It's going great but uhh..." He sighed. "Can I ask you for something?"

"Umm... Sure, what is it, Chris?"

Chris then went into a word by word recap of what had transpired moments ago detailing the drunken man, Isabelle's use of magic and Alistair's punishment. "...and now I have to go into some random universe to track him down with Isabelle." He sighed. "Can you just summon a construct to take my place for me while I'm away? I would ask Jessica but she's busy at the moment."

"I understand, I'll make sure to do that." Christina laughed, "But I better expect pictures when you get back, its not everyday you get to see beings from an alternate dimension."

"I'll try my best, see ya when I get back. Bye!"

"Bye, Chris!" With the call concluded, Chris shoved his phone into his pocket and looked to see Isabelle making the same action.

"So, what did your dad say?" Chris asked

Isabelle frowned, "Well he's obviously not happy, but he understands what I have to do." She sighs before activating a tracking spell as her wand lights up, "Ready or never, Chris."

He chuckles, "Don't worry Izzy, I'm ready."

While they're preparing to teleport however, the chef from earlier walks out from the back exit. "Okay, See ya tomorrow I WHOA-" Bumping into them the spell goes haywire, teleporting them all by mistake as it sends them to their next destination.
