"Okay that's done," Dr. Tenderheart sighed. "how are you two coming along?"

Beep .............. beep .............. beep ..............beep

The unicorn mare replied, "Just a couple more lines." She turned her head towards the pegasus stallion. "Dr. Caduceus?"

Beep ........beep ........beep ....................

They all turned their heads towards the immediate halt when all of a sudden-

BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEP

"OH SWEET CELESTIA! What is happening?!" When he finished speaking however, the sudden spike in activity had slowed its way down to its normal pace as if nothing had occured.

Beep ........beep ........beep ........beep ...........beep ........beep

After everything finished settling down, Dr. Caduceus spoke up in bewilderment. "W-what in Celestia's name just happened?"

Dr. Open Heart replied in a similar tone, "I-I don't know..." Turning her head towards Doctor Horse, she frowned. "Do you have anything on this Doctor?"

"I-I'm just as confused as you are Dr. Heart I-" He heaved in frustration, "This doesn't make any sense."

Suddenly, the group stood in awe to see that both monitors were responding normally as Dr. Heart blinked. "I...I s-she's-"

"Alive? She's actually alive?!" Tenderheart shouted at the sudden revelation while the others backed away cautiously. "I- I... This is..." The earth pony stammered before turning towards her sister, "This is a miracle! I-I... Heart, can you believe this?"

Everypony else turned to look at her as the unicorn babbled incoherently. "Buh-buh-buh-buh-buh-buh..." This continued for a minute or two until Caduceus stepped towards her and smacked her in the face with a hoof. Snapping back to reality, the mare groaned in pain. "H-hey! What was that for?"

"Just a little wake me up, you're welcome by the way." Caduceus finished with a smirk. Stepping over towards Doctor Horse, the pegasus stallion pulls him over as he starts a conversation. "So Doc, what's the verdict? We let her go now that she's apparently alive or what?"

"Goodness no!" The doctor shakes his head, "We don't even know the complete state of her mental condition, she could have some form of scarring or severe brain damage. Celestia knows how long it would even take if she even wakes up."

"Alright, alright, alright." Caduceus backed down turning to face the unicorn mare. "Heart, what do you think we should do?"

"M-me?!" Shouted the flustered pony. "What makes you think I know what to do about this?"

The stallion chuckled, "You are the problem solver aren't you? You unicorns are always using your noggins for situations like this." Caduceus walking over to her wraps a foreleg around her shoulder. "Or am I mistaken?"

The earth pony cringed, walking over to her sister batting it away before speaking up to him. "Maaaaybe we should just wait and see what happens first, just to see how bad it is before making a brash decision."

He groaned, "Ugh, fine. You're right." Walking over to the door, the stallion turned his head to ask a question. "Do you guys want anything to eat? There's this new place that opened up recently that's selling pizza, anypony hungry?"

Doctor Horse perked up at the suggestion. "Isn't that the place with flavored crust? Butter Garlic, mmm."

The pegasus responded, "Yeah that's the one," He turned his head towards the mares. "you two up for pizza?"

The unicorn shook her head. "No thank you, I'm trying to watch my figure."

Her sibling however wasn't so cautious. "A Large Pizza with Mushrooms and Hay Bacon for me, please."

"Ok. So half and half good for you two, or do they need to be separate?" The stallion asked inquisitively.

Doctor Horse responded, "That's alright with me," He turned his head towards her. "Is that alright, Tenderheart?"

She nodded. "Yes that's okay."

"Great! I'll be back ASAP. Don't get too hungry when I'm out alright?"

Tenderheart giggled, "No promises."

And with that he made his way out the door as the rest of them turned to face the bedridden changeling. 'I just hope she's alright...'

Seawave Residence, Eastern Ponyville

"I should've been there to protect her! Why did I just sit back and do nothing?!" Sandbar was stomping around in his room to the behest of his relatives, "What kind of pony am I to just sit back and do nothing? Because of me, one of my own friends got hurt today..." The cream colored colt sighed heavily. "M-maybe I should just take a nap to get my mind off things, that would probably be best."

Just then, the voice of his younger sister called out behind his bedroom door. "B-Babar, are you okay? I heard yelling... Did something happen while you were out?"

Sandbar was silent for a moment before making a reply. "I... It's nothing you should worry about Corrie, I'm okay really."

Coral however wasn't convinced. "Babar... Y-you shouldn't have to hide your feelings y'know? We all care about you..." Sandbar could hear her tearing up through the doorway, "A-and I... I care a-about you too, p-please! Don't feel like you have to hide away from us, w-w... we love you!"

Unable to hold it in any longer, Sandbar erupted into tears as his sister walked in to see him crying harder than at any other point in his life. Seeing the poor colt in distress, she ran over to him as she pulled him into a tight hug. "I'm here for you, Babar. I-I'm here, y-you don't need to handle this on your own." Sobbing into her brother's chest, she hugged him even tighter. "W-whatever it is, y-you can tell me. I- I won't hate you for it."

He choked back a sob as he stared at her with tears in his eyes. "Y-you really mean that sis?"

"Yes, I... I'll always love you Babar, I always have!" She said with a smile.

The colt sniffled as he collected himself, "T-thank you, you're the best little sister a guy could ask for." He scooped her up in his forelegs as she laughed with glee. After a couple of minutes had passed, he asked her a question. "So, what is it you wanna know?"

"T-tell me everything from the beginning, don't skip out on anything y'hear?"

He sighed, "So it all started out like this..."

Room 3-24, Ponyville Hospital

As the three ponies were waiting patiently, Dr. Heart had excused herself. "Oh... Duty calls! I'll be back momentarily, don't let me hold you up."

Tenderheart giggled, "Come on sis, if you have to go to the bathroom you can just say it."

Seeing the mare's face flushed red, Doctor Horse spoke up. "Let's not start another situation you two." Turning to the unicorn surgeon he continued, "You're free to go."

With a quick nod the mare left the room as her sister responded in irritance. "Doctor please, it's just a little bit of teasing. We do it all the time back home, what's the big deal?"

He sighed, "What you do on your own time is none of my concern, but when you're working here I expect you to be on your best behavior." He glared at her as he pulled his head closer. "Do I make myself clear?"

Sighing, the mare relented. "Yes sir..."

"Good." Walking towards the door, he gave her an order. "Now, you stay here, I'll be back momentarily. Keep an eye on her and make sure she's comfortable. Do you understand?" She nodded. "Alright, now get going. I have some business to attend to." And with that, the unicorn left the room as Tenderheart cantered her way over to the bed.
