Castle of Friendship - Map Room

"Hey Diamond Tiara...what's wrong?" Apple Bloom asked her marefriend. Diamond Tiara looked at her lover.

"I'm so confused is what. While Apple Buck was visiting, I couldn't help but feel like I was in love with him. But that doesn't make sense because I'm in love with you." Diamond Tiara said. "So...I'm confused. I'm confused as to why I can have feelings for Apple Buck and you at the same time when I'm happily married to you and not him and--" Diamond Tiara was stopped with a hoof to her mouth.

"Stop Diamond. Believe or not, but I was falling in love with Gold Watch from Apple Buck's world. But I know in my heart I'm in love with you, Diamond Tiara. But I quickly came to a realization: It's not about me being in love with both you and Gold Watch; it's about being in love with the same individual that I married." Apple Bloom said. Diamond Tiara blinked.

"I'm afraid I don't follow your logic, Apple Bloom." Diamond Tiara said. Spoiled Rich was listening in and was sitting at the table nearby.

"Pardon me for evesdropping but...are you really that confused, Diamond Tiara?" Spoiled Rich asked.

"Mother...not now..." Diamond Tiara said.

"I'm not looking to start something this time. You love Apple Bloom because of the things she does and because of the kind of person she is, right?" Spoiled Rich asked.

"Yeah...that's right I suppose..." Diamond Tiara said.

"And from what we know of the world from the other side of the mirror, it's the exact same as our world just with everyone's genders having been swapped and perhaps a name change where it's needed." Spoiled Rich said.

"Mother, where are you going with this?" Diamond Tiara asked.

"My point; Diamond Tiara; is that even if I don't approve of your relationship with Apple Bloom, you have fallen in love with the kind of person Apple Bloom is. I bet if she were a stallion instead of a mare, and had the exact same personality, you would still love who Apple Bloom is dear." Spoiled Rich explained. As soon as Spoiled Rich had finished, Diamond Tiara's eyes went wide. She understood now. She actually understood.

"Oh my stars..." Diamond Tiara said, wide eyed. "I get it...I actually get it." She said. "Apple Buck is still Apple Bloom; it's like the conclusion we came to: The names and genders may have changed, but the events and the personalities behind those events remains the same." Diamond Tiara said.

"Now your gettin' it." Apple Bloom said.

"I'm in love with Apple Buck not because he's a stallion, but because he's still you. It's as if my heart knows this and it took my brain some explanation to catch up." Diamond Tiara said.

"Bingo." Apple Bloom said.

"I never thought I'd say this..." Diamond Tiara said. "But thanks mother." She added.

"I still don't approve of the relationship. Probably why I was not invited to the wedding. Same thing with your father though. Why did you not invite him at the least?" Spoiled Rich asked.

"Because of the whole 'plus one' thing..." Diamond Tiara said. "Daddy understood from there." She said.

"I thought you had a legitimate guest list." Spoiled Rich said.

"We did. We marked it everyone who we wanted to invite to the wedding as well as it being specific as 'plus one guest'." Diamond Tiara said. "And spouses not invited automatically become the plus one. Ponyville's rules, not ours." She added.

"Oh...I see..." Spoiled Rich said.

"But Filthy Rich does support us in the end; after all, in case you forgot, ma granny was part of the founding of Ponyville." Apple Bloom stated.

"...I can't believe I forgot about that..." Spoiled Said before looking dejected.

"It's not like I married her because of that though." Diamond Tiara said. "Our love is pure, and is shared; we love each other with all our hearts, and we love each other for who we are." She said. "So what if I was born into a wealthy family? So what if Apple Bloom was born to a shareholder family?" Diamond Tiara asked. "None of that matters to us. You would not understand. Daddy does." She said.

"I...think I need some alone time to think on things..." Spoiled Rich said before leaving the room. Luster Dawn entered.

"What the heck was that about?" Luster Dawn asked.

"Ah think Spoiled Rich just received a giant wake up call." Apple Bloom said, smiling.

Unknown Location - Moving Train

Meanwhile, on a train heading for ponyville, a strange pony with Draconequus features was riding in one of the cars.

"Mother, I'm coming home." She said from inside the train.
